can't decide if to bother getting my main domains.. one has already gone in .eu.. but the other 2 haven't.. I already own .co.uks and .coms for both though..
Also spotted a few good words I'd quite like but don't know if it's worth bothering.. hmm.0 -

if the DNS servers were only set up to go live today, usually it takes up to 48hrs i think for your local DNS Server to update, just like any domain name, takes a while to actually show up on the net0 -

Goodness only knows what I was thinking (no I wasn't drunk) but last night I registered three .eu domains with euro-reg without knowing a thing about the company.
Haven't a clue what I'll do with the domains either as I don't know the first thing about domains/hosting/websites etc but I guess I'll have to work on that.
Anyways the domains are now showing on the Geektools WHOIS with the registrar being http://www.advantage-interactive.com and from a quick check it seems that the parent company have been around since 1999 and doing domains since 2001.

Thanks Bubba.
They do seem to be OK. One thing I've noticed with them is that they aren't displaying the registrant's home address and number at the official WHOIS (now working at http://www.whois.eu/). Does yours show up on that?
This is a good thing of course, and I was actually looking for a company who offer privacy "masking" or hiding. Domains registered with other companies are showing full contact details for the registrant.
So I will probably end up going with them0 -

I know what you mean. When I was looking this morning at other people's domains using the Geektools WHOIS I realised like you say that all their contact details were shown and that worried me (I really should never have bought these domains you know).
Anyways a quick check using your link shows only the e-mail address I used when registering and then the Registrar's details:
Name Hostmaster
Organisation Euro-reg
Language English
Address 3 Maple Park
Essex Road
EN11 0EX Hoddesdon
United Kingdom
Phone +44.8700585014
Fax +44.8700585015
Email eurid.technical@euro-reg.com
Just wondering here, as I say I know nowt, do I actually 'own' the domain names now or do I just 'lease' them?
Cheers,

Good point! I honestly don't know to be honest, but I doubt they own any rights to it. I need to read their T&Cs when I have a spare hour(!).
Maybe they haven't fully processed the registration yet, they've just put the request in to the registrars so that no-one else can get hold of the domain.
...or it could be a privacy measure?0 -
