Just used https://www.euro-reg.com to get my 2 .eu domains.

They are doing them at 8.75 for a year - half price intro offer and had them confirmed already!

    jayhill.eu
    alexhill.eu

    Look them up.

Netserve Telephone 0845 6444 194 instantly registered mine over the phone and I can confirm they have done it using WHOIS.

    £25 + VAT

Very expensive, given that someone above just quoted £9 a year. However I know I got the domain now. Where as people who have reg'd with godaddy or 123reg for example who had paid £30 to preregister, havent even been submitted yet. Netserve can reg you in one second.

1&1 also cant reg people for the next 3 days.

yeah i will be a little gutted if its quick registration like netserve :) Just gave them a buzz to ask for a cheaper price and they're sticking to guns. They guarantee instant reg on available domains and are the 'premium service' :-o

As a matter of interest, how do you know this?

I ordered the domain from them this morning and got annoyed nothing happened 3 hours later. Rang them and they said they got a massive preregistry list to go through and that it could take up to 3 days.

With all the news of 123reg and godaddy being delayed, I suspect they are in same boat. People need to contact vendors who can purchase immediately or you can wave good domain names goodbye.

I just heard about polo.eu ..... apparently Volkswagon, Polo (the mint) and Ralph Lauren went after it. Volkswagon won by 1 minute something .... all bid within 5 minutes of one another this morning.
