  • I too have been caught out by dazzle smile, but i didnt know anything about this scam untill this morning.
After checking my bank details this morning noticed that two payments had come out of my bank account to two seperate companys, both based in Cyprus.
I immediatly rang my bank who put me intouch with a fraud expert, who stated that he had delt with hundreds of people who have been through the same thing. He cancelled the order there and then with them, and said that no further money would come out of my bank if they try and charge me further, however im starting to think is there away around this as there using two different companys?
After learning i wouldnt recieve my money back i decided to contact the company and speak to them direct, shut on sundays so i spoke to live chat who cancelled my account with them there and then.
However tommorow i am going to ring them and give them a piece of my mind i did say i would get our lawyer involved to which she told me to ring them tomorrow and speak to an adviser!
How strong is your case though if you have signed terms and conditions in regards to getting your money back?

    many thanks
    vik

Hi! My name is Siri, I'm coming from Germany but I'm living in London for two years now.
I want to tell you my experience with this bloody teeth whitener:
I saw the adverb on “Facebook” in September. It told a story of a British Mom who was absolutely convinced about two products for teeth whitening combined together: “Dazzle White” and “Idol White”. The adverb told about a “Free Trial” you can get on their websites.)

I've just read your 'story' and found it quite interesting. I too fell for the 'british mum'
So far my credit card has been charged by Nutralogy $130.51 and by Ultifreshwell $87.62. I can't believe the card companies are continuing to let this act of theft go unchecked! To date I have been charged over £150 and am still trying to cancel Ultifreshwell (altiwhite) who's number is only available mon -fri. I am seething mad at myself for being so stupid but it's good to know you could be unsubscribed, lucky you. Just wish there was more we could do about this sort of thing but being an American company or at least not british based there's not a lot we can do apart from bad mouth them and warn all potential victims.
I have written to my card company today letting them know I have cancelled and hopefully no more money will come out of my account. I'm thinking of closing my account with my card company and getting a new card company but I don't know if that will do any good as they seem to think that they can still take money from my account and I will still be charged. argh!!! mad mad mad.
  • Here is a post from another site:
"Go back to the the first page to read the first complaint. What else do you need to do? First these crooks are fantastic liars...will say anything to get you off the phone or online chat. I did EVERYTHING within minutes of ordering, returned my product registered mail unopened within 30 minutes of it arriving in my box, talked to several reps, emailed, requested countless times for order to be canceled immediately, called my bank & canceled my cc...guess what? Three weeks after I got my NEW cc, they charged me AGAIN!! I confirmed with the USPS that the pkg had been received by them, along with hundreds the same day as mine.
You need to contact your bank asap, tell them your card was stolen, and cancel it. Some folks have had to switch banks. I'm telling you this can turn into your worse nightmare. By the way, they are pulling this scam all around the world, not just USA. Good luck, watch your bank acct DAILY, and don't believe anything these thieves tell you"

So be VERY careful that they do not charge you after you cancel - it seems that just because they tell you that everything is cancelled and even if they have received the stuff back withn 14 days, they may still charge you under various different names.

  • Just spoken to the credit card people and they say that even if I close my card account they can still take money and I will be charged! Only thing to do is cancel with the company direct, obtain a cancellation no and if your card is charged after the date of cancellation they can then persue them to get the money back. Any money taken from your bank before this is my/our loss. Was also informed that I should have used my debit card for the internet as this is now safer than the credit card for issues like this that arise. So I'm having to wait until tomorow to call and cancel Altiwhite, meanwhile who knows who else I've subscribed to who can just slip in there and steal a wad of cash on a whim and be perfecdtly legal to do so. This is just not right. Anyone know of an email address for Altiwhite or Ultifreshwell??? It's so bloody hard to get in touch with these guys..

I joined facebook to keep in touch with family and friends about 6 months ago.

Whilst using it the other week, I read one of the adverts at the side of the page. It was talking about whitening teeth. Free trial offers just postage to pay.

Send this guy a message via Facebook - (he works for them) and claims facebook are "fighting deceptive ads" "aggressively":

Clearly not "aggressively" enough if these scammy ads are still allowed on Facebook.

You can file a complaint with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) - they can and do take legal action against scams if they get enough complaints.
    https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

(The online form can be used by anyone in any country who has been scammed by a US based company.)

People can also complain to facebook as above (or wherever else they saw the ad).
If the big ad companies like facebook, Google, MSN etc stop running these ads becasue of complaints from their users then at least that will put a dent in the scammers profits!

I saw the ad that captured and connned me on s1jobs.com
The credit crunch mom and all that !!!!. Nice one!
I have emailed their customer service dept advising them of the goings on with the ad and asking them to remove it from their site. I mean, thousands of folks being conned out of thousands maybe millions of pounds and the ad is still there to entice poor idiots like myself, although until now I have never been involved in anything like this before. And I may add will never be again, as once bitten and all that. Shame cos I'm sure there are a lot of good intentioned sites out there that may merit a look and a hit but never again, this lot have spoiled it for all and sundry as far as I'm concerned. NEVER again will I give my details over the net.I'm still seething mad and so concerned about other so called companies being able to rob me legittably (is that the right word?)
Where the hell do we go from here, we have to wait until we're robbed then try and find numbers to unsubscribe.............. what a crock of .............
The credit card companies have a lot to answer to although I must hand it to the b......ds they have got it all covered in the small print!!
Is there really nothing we can do?
Someone somewhere must know how we can get our own back!
