"Better Business Bureau offices across the country are being bombarded with thousands of complaints from consumers"......."most of whom said they thought they were signing up for a free trial. Those consumers are telling Better Business Bureau officials their credit or debit cards are being billed before the trial ends and, in some cases, are billed after they have told the company they want to cancel."

Along with Dazzle Smile, other names behind the teeth-whitening ads include White Smile, Teeth Smile, Ivory White, Celebrity White Teeth, Premium White Pro, Ultra Cleanse Plus and others, according to the Better Business Bureau."

  • I am just on hold to my visa company to cancel more bills sent through to me from signing up to this scam.
    so far
    Total white
    Beauty club
    Pristine Health.

I think I am going to have to cancel my visa card and get a new one issued. If I ever get through to visa as I have been on hold now for 20mins.
I feel so stupid for falling for this. Dazzle white has just sent me another pen and charge £16????

    will it ever stop.
    HOW MUCH ?
  • finally got through to visa and the lady assures me that they are monitering my account and once a month they will pay back anything that I have been charge from these companys. I asked how I could stop them and she says they get charged everytime they have to credit my accout so eventually they will stop as it is costing them!

she also said I don't need to ring everytime I have been charged.

    so we will see.
    HOW MUCH ?
  • I have been told the same thing Alyssa so keeping my fingers crosssed
  • Originally I did not realise that the 3 payments taken from my Egg credit card were a scam and thought my card details had been stolen. I contacted Egg who cancelled the card and reissued. When I realised it was Dazzlewhite & Purelywhite conning me I told Egg who said they would now class it as a disputed transaction. They then let Dazzlewhite take another £61 from my account and state that until they have decided whose favour they find in then these companies can still keep taking these amounts! I have cancelled all the memberships that I did not even know I had signed up for and now have to wait on Egg to see what happens next. I always thought that if you paid via credit card and did not receive the goods or they were not of the advertised description then the credit card disputed the charges. As I have been charged for 4 items and only received one I cannot see how Egg can state that they will keep letting the amount be taken.
  • Teeth-Whitening Company Sues Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Others

A dental whitening company that admittedly used deceptive ad campaigns to trick users into signing up for expensive subscriptions is now suing Google, Yahoo and Microsoft for letting competitors run similar ads using its trademarked name.
You’ve probably seen ads with the mom who discovered the secret to whiter teeth, though, she doesn’t exist — she’s just a marketing lie.

Well I am still at war with the bank over this. Today another company I have never heard of called Glorious smiles has taken £37 from my account. The bank agreed to dispute the second payment to the international beauty club but said they couldn't do anything about the £90 that premium white took. I suggested cancelling my card but they said I don't need to, I can just keep telling them if any more debits are made.

I find it incredible that the banks are aware of these companies and their bogus transactions but aren't working together to stop them.

I also wonder about USA trading laws that can allow companies to get away with it. I wonder if there is any organisation in the US that is trying to get these companies stopped?
  • We have been caught by Dazzlewhite. Barclays have told us there is nothing they can do only raise a dispute which will take 31 days to take effect. In the meanwhile the company and its associates can take what they want from the account. It is up to us to call these companies but as its a scam we have no contact numbers or addresses.

Will it ever stop or will this company be able to take money forever?
  • Well I for one have had some good news from my Credit Card Company. They have chargedback Dazzlewhite or whoever they wish to call themselves at any particular time and have been told they will not accept any more charges from Dazzlewhite or their affiliates. The credit card companies are aware of this scam. I have received nothing from these companies but they still charged my cc £62. It has taken approx 4 weeks to sort out.

WELL DONE TESCO, love em to bits.

I suggest you persevere with your credit card companies...be polite, but firm...send them any cancellation numbers or emails you received. Ask for a cancellation form from them and send all the details back with it. This is what I did.

I will keep you posted if anything else happens.
I AM NEVER EVER GONNA FALL FOR ANYTHING LIKE THIS AGAIN ...THEY ARE VERY VERY CLEVER SO BE CAREFUL OUT THERE
