Any real company is EASILY contactable!

Exactly, and when a company hides the details of their domain ownership using 'Moniker Privacy Services' that's yet another big red flag and more proof to give to the credit card company that they are deliberately making themselves difficult to contact. If you do a whoislookup on moneysavingexpert.com the name Martin Lewis is shown as the owner and the contact details are listed:
http://whois.domaintools.com/moneysavingexpert.com
Not so with Dazzlewhite / Premium White etc

Which gives me an idea of another way to try and get this scam shut down - look up their teeth whitening product domains / sales pages: premiumwhitepro.com and dazzlesmilepro.com (there are more but lets start with those 2)

Both of them are hosted on dedicated servers provided by Rackspace web hosting.
http://whois.domaintools.com/dazzlewhitepro.com
http://whois.domaintools.com/premiumwhitepro.com
http://whois.domaintools.com/67.192.202.28

By hosting these sites Rackspace are aiding and abetting a scam. More than likely the sites are also against Rackspace terms and conditions.

So - maybe if enough people complained to Rackspace, they would do something about it. (Take down their web sites for example).

What I really need to know is how to cancel the AltaWhite as I have not seen it mentioned on here

Alta White appears to be linked to a company called Market Health. info@markethealth.com
From: http://www.markethealth.com/banner.php?aid=&sid=593

"This is a scam, do not touch it. To get out of it send an email to support@healthbuy.com Tell them to cancel your membership and ask for a cancellation ID number. If any further money is taken from your account, this is your proof that it has been cancelled."
From: http://www.teethwhiteningreviews.com/item.php?id=45

At: http://www.teethwhiten.com/tos.php
It says: "we are offering you a 14 DAY RISK FREE TRIAL where you will receive a 1 Month Supply of Product and only be charged shipping & handling today. At the end of your RISK FREE TRIAL, you will be enrolled into our Membership Program for just $119.93, non refundable."

"To cancel your trial, visit Online Support Website* or call 866-928-8043 [Outside USA Call: 204-928-9003] within 14 days of your initial order. "
* https://www.websupportcenter.com/support/locate/

Note that is within 14 days of ordering NOT within 14 days of receiving the product! However their terms and conditions page says:
"4. Shipping.
Our standard ground shipping takes from 10 to 14 business days within the continental United States. For international orders, we ship via Federal Express. Generally international shipments take 14-21 business days from day of shipment unless customs causes a delay for some reason."

So they are admitting that you will probably (almost certainly if in the UK!) receive your product MORE THAN 14 days after ordering therefore you are "enrolled into our Membership Program for just $119.93, non refundable" before you even receive the "trial" product - what a CON!

Also I would use the 'Locate order with Order ID or Email' option at https://www.websupportcenter.com/support/locate/ not the credit card number one - don't give these cowboys your credit card number again!

Chargeback every time.
It's the only thing these crooks are really scared of. They are not afraid of the law because any fine is just peanuts compared to the dosh that they'll have secreted away in some ofshore account.
They are not afraid of the law because their shifting addresses mean they are hard to catch anyway.

Interesting bit of info here from Which?
"If you have any trouble when putting in a claim to your credit or Visa debit card provider, try asking to speak to a supervisor. Chargeback is less well-known than section 75, and some bank staff may not be aware of this rule. If your card provider rejects your chargeback claim, you can take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months of your final correspondence."

I've spent 2 hours changing my direct debits to another account and will be cancelling my Halifax account. Have just done the live chat and have been assured I will not be charged any further, we'll see eh. Bah humbug, sick as a chip, could scream/cry.Can't believe Halifax know fine well its a scam but allow the charges to be taken, and they cannot guarentee further payments won't be debited, what crap, utter crap.

I received 2 products: AltaWhite ($13.88 & $131.26 charge) & DazzleSmile ($14.90 & $87.62 charge). I have managed to cancel the DazzleSmile (they also signed me up to World Club Fitness who I had to cancel as well!). What I really need to know is how to cancel the AltaWhite as I have not seen it mentioned on here - only AltiWhite.
Do I call my c/c company with the cancellation numbers after I have all 3?
thanks

Okay here we go. Now I'm not that sure as I have loads of numbers relating to this teeth whitening scam, but I think you should call 001204 928 9003(usa no) this is the number I have for them but it does become a bit confusing if like me you ordered from 2 websites, (god there are going to be loads of us) the female I spoke to was very nice but that might just go with the package. She said she would request a refund but it wasn't up to her. So my reckoning is that I will have to bite the bullet on this occation and pay my dues for being so bloody stupid BUT you can be rest assured that I will never be caught out like this again. From now on I will always read the small print and if I can't be bothered I will just log off!
I think like me you have probably been conned in the same way I was.
CC companies are no help at all etc etc. good luck and I wish you well

In slight disbelief that so many of us have fallen for this.

I did everything i was supossed to.
Cancelled with dazzlewhite.
Cancelled with World Club Fitness.
Sent pen back recorded delivary.
Stupidly thought that was it.
Checked my account and have just had £54 taken off by pristinehlth.

The payment is now in dispute with cc company and my card has been blocked.

Just wanted to share the conversation i had with Falon. Im sure that name will be familier to a lot of you lol.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Falon'
Falon: Hello and welcome to PremiumWhite. I'll be your live operator today. May I know, whom am I chatting with?
you: Hello. I cancelled my free trial and the pen was returned to you on 10th Nov. I cancelled my membership to world club fitness and was told that no more money would be taken off me. Why has £54.26 been taken off me by pristine health?
Falon: Could you please provide me with your full name, email address and postal/zip code, so that I can pull up your details?
you: ******
Falon: One moment please while I locate your account information.
you: Hello? (after waiting 5 mins )
Falon: One moment please.
Falon: We have charged $12.90 on Oct 23, 2009, for the shipping and handling.
Falon: $87.62 on Nov 13, 2009 for the product, you already received as trial.
you: I returned the trial on the 19th Nov. I have proof of delivary and i want the money returned to my account immediately. You had no reason to take that money from my account!!!
you: Sorry meant to say 10th Nov.
you: I received the pen on the 6th of Nov. Have proof that it was received by yourselves on the 10th I should not have been charged for anything else !!!
Falon: We are unable to process return requests via live chat because of privacy and security reasons.
Falon: Please contact our member support staff at our toll-free number for all return information:

you: I will be contacting my credit card for a charge back. You have taken this money illegally from my account.
Falon: You will have to make your call for return information.
Falon: Please make your call at above number for return information.
Falon: I hope I was of assistance to you. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
you: One moment please.

you:
Angel: The first tube is a full month supply with a 14-day trial period. If you choose not to return your package before the end of the trial period, you're charged just $87.62 for the package after 14 days.
you: I will send the back pen unopened before 14 days so will any more money be taken from my account?
Angel: NO

you: Above is part of a conversation i had with one of your collegues. So do you all lie to customers?
you: What your company is doing is against the law. You are not allowed to just take money from my account when you feel like it.
Falon: We should have received it after the completion of the 14 days trial period. But as you send it on 10th it takes longer to received it. That's why you have been charged.
Falon: I’m sorry. I am only authorized to process cancellation and product related questions.
Falon: Please contact our support department, You will be assisted further.
you: I didnt send it on the 10th.
you: I received the pen on the 6th Nov. Sent it on the 7th and your company signed for delivary of the pen on the 10th.
Falon: We sincerely do apologize for any inconvenience.
you: Its not an incovenience. Your company has stolen money from me!!!
Falon: AS you told that you send it on the 19th Nov. You have been charged after the completion of the 14 days trial period.
Falon: that is on 13 nov.
Falon: If you wish to be refunded. You need to call our phone support.
Falon: You will have to make your call for return information.
Falon: Please make your call at above number for return information.
you: It was typing error if you read the next sentance you would see that. I received my pen on the the 6th. Sent it by trackable post the 7th and your company signed for receipt of the pen on the 10th. So how can the 6th to the 10th be 13 days?
Falon: Kindly make a call to them. You will be assisted further in this regard.
Falon: Good Bye.
Falon: I’m sorry. I am only authorized to process cancellation and product related questions. Please contact our support department.
you: Your company and customer service is an absolute joke. How you can work for someone who steals money is beyond my understanding. Thank you for being no help at all.
Falon: We sincerely do apologize for any inconvenience. But, you have been charged as per terms and conditions.
Falon: Thank you very much for chatting with us today. We hope the rest of your day is an excellent one.
Falon: Please feel free to come back for any further assistance.

After spending a whole day! sorting this mess I got myself into out. I had cancelled dazzelwhite, ultrafresh and the world club fitness (my fingers and voice was well an truly exercised out to say nothing about my brain cell!) spoke with my bank (LLOYDS TSB) who assured me nothing was coming out of my account again and it would do no good changing my card or bank account.

Yes you quessed it another amount of money was taken out on Weds, 2 days afterwards - I am sick to the cut with this (This is O/D money).

I have cancelled my card and requested a new one. waited a week to get the first letter from bank to claim one of my payments back, got to wait for the next one, but they say the first amount i wont get back as the subscription was not cancelled. the banks know this is a scam, so why do they not do something about it, like a blanket block on payments out.

I know I was stupide to fall for this but on researching this week, this has been going on for months (that I know off) so the banks have known about it all ths time, they could have done something by now surely.

The other thing I want to know about is why if a DD is to go out of your account and you are short of funds to honor it, it is not paid? Am I missing something here? How comes these payments can be paid out from an account with no funds in?

These are the banks that have illigally taken money from us for bank charges, nearly brought the country/world to its knees putting millions out of work, ruining companies (some long established) and pays themselves massive bonuses.

I need and so many people are like me, need some sign of goodness and goodwill to carry on. It would be more usefull to go back to the old ways - I mean the days with no technology an batering for goodsand living the simple llife.

It does seem ridiculous doesn't it!? And why has this company not had their merchant account shut down due to the high volume of complaints and chargebacks? Perhaps that is why they are using shell companies in Cyprus?

Perhaps everyone should contact their MP and ask why banks (some of which are owned by us [taxpayers]) are allowing fraudsters/scammers to withdraw our money even when the bank knows that is a scam! If there is a loophole in the law then surely that needs to be closed! If you want to open a bank account you have to provide all sorts of id becasue of money laundering regulations and yet some dodgy company can steal money from your account whenever they like?

How to contact your MP:
http://www.writetothem.com/

Maybe Martin will take up this issue with the banks as well if enough people email him?

Kiggy, I cannot understand why your bank would suggest it's no good to change your card or bank account?

I found Lloyds TSB to be most helpful after a slightly bumpy start. I closed my original account/cancelled Debit Card and immediately opened a new account with same branch. Any DD's & SO's were reset up (even my original overdraft facility and online banking was sorted out) I have had NO charges from Dazzlewhite or any of their other connected 'sharks' since. I would imagine it would be totally impossible for them to draw funds from an account for which they had no detail. I too sent the sample back asap (it couldn't have been sent back within 14 days of it being sent without a miracle, so this way they cannot have any hold over MY money!) I wish you luck

Clearlift Ultra is also running the same scam. I ordered from this site and they originaly took shipping costs from my CC immediately as I ordered the trial size. Within 10 minutes of me ordering the goods I rang my CC but they said they could not cancel the transaction and if I cancelled my CC this company could still obtain funds. I rang Clearlift Ultra the following day and cancelled my membership. I ordered from this site on 26th October and have today received the sample. £54 has been taken from my CC today. I will post the goods back to them on Monday (same returns address as Dazzlewhite) I have wrote to my CC Company asking them not to allow any further payments as this is a well known scam, I will ring my CC Company on Monday and ask for a Credit Card Chargeback. I am at my wits end. All Email adresses dont exist for this company and they do not have a live chat site. I am so annoyed I got into this and am so worried.
