I don't have a tracking number, unfortunately. I presume the seller's got it. Oh well, hey ho, I'll see if it turns up next week. I doubt they'll show up now, it being Saturday afternoon.

I just wonder what they're doing with it, - if the seller dispatched it on the 7th they've had the parcel for 9 days!

(ETA can't see a tracking number or details about the courier on PayPal, either. It just says on the EBay item listing: Hermes tracked.)

if the seller hasn't entered the tracking number into ebay then message them and ask for it.

  • Well, Hermes are now claiming it's been delivered. Who knows where to, certainly not here!! I was joking when I said perhaps they'd lobbed it in the bushes outside. Maybe I'd better go check

Oh well, I guess me or the seller will have to try and ascertain where Hermes have delivered it to. I suspect there'll be an illegible signature and they'll just wash their hands of it, saying it's been delivered :(

I've decided I'm not going to bid on items again where the seller uses Hermes. My advice to anyone is AVOID this company, they are a wind-up!!

Bad advice, especially as you are going on assumptions not facts. I and many others have used Hermes quite a lot and never had a problem.

sent around 2000 parcels this year with hermes, around 5 lost, 5 delayed. I find they are cheap and the service is good. Drop them off at parcelshop which is handy as don't have to stay in

Never had problems with Hermes and my Wife uses them most weeks for her Next deliveries and returns. Unfortunately the problem I find with their parcel shops in my area is that the nearest is a round trip of 24 miles which makes the cost uncompetitive with other company's who's parcel shops are only a mile or so away.

Hermes delivered 190 million items in UK last year.
All carriers have a loss rate. I suspect they may lose a few more than some carriers but they are very cheap.

They lost one of mine - they paid out - that is how it goes.

When sending something not too valuable they are an OK choice if the budget is limited.
  • To let those in the Saltersgill/Beechwood area of Middlesbrough know, received items fine by 3.30pm next day, courier very pleasant.
