I use Hermes for heavy E-Bay parcels. My courier lives in a small village nearby and gave me his business card the 1st time he came. Now if I have a parcel to be collected I book it online and then call him to arrange a time. He is brilliant and I even gave him some wine and chocolates at Xmas. Regarding the little sticker receipt I always copy my despatch or return papers and stick it on the copy for my records.
Cant fault them. You get what you pay for and they are cheap.0 -
My mother had a parcel from a home shopping catalogue delivered by Hermes, we found the parcel lying in the back garden, it had been tossed over a 6 foot fence. No note had been left, of course.
At least she got it, which is more than I can say for my experience with them.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
I sent an iphone through these after selling it on auction site, sent insured and signed for. Never got there. They would not let me claim for 28 days then apparently it takes 28 days to 'investigate' claim. The time is now up, heard nothing, sent two emails also in last two weeks and had no reply. It's looking like a massive con, in the meantime I have no phone and had to refund buyer a month ago. Couple of hundred pound out of pocket.
Please note I have also reviewed them on their own website weeks ago and it never appeared, the positive comments clearly sifted for public consumption.
Does anyone know where I can elevate a complaint too?0 -

I didn't think MyHermes covered any electronic devices?0 -

I have to ask
why would you go for myhermes on such a light item?
looking at their price list
0-1kg £3.30
£250 compensation £2.40
signature £1.02
£6.72
RM SD is £6.35 on 500g, which is about the weight of a boxed iphonetheonlywayisup wrote: »I didn't think MyHermes covered any electronic devices?
well it says for damage. no idea how they are for lossGOODS THAT ARE EXCLUDED FROM COMPENSATION FOR DAMAGE AND GOODS THAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT FOR CARRIAGE
reads to me like an easy claim to dismiss on that0 -
Not that it helps the person who lost the iphone but Hermes lost a toy I sent before Christmas. After a week I asked them what was going on and was emailed the compensation form. Filled that in and they emailed to say would take four weeks to process claim. After four weeks item still lost, so they refunded me the value of the item and the postage via BACS. All couriers lose things, none of them are perfect. For me, Hermes paid up.0

Nothing but praise for the Hermes courier in my area, he is a star. Had someone win a wiifit board off me and ordered hermes to collect, I completely forgot come the dat and the kind guy came back to collect after I opened the door with a blank face in the peeing rain and then the buyer hadnt included a certain code and he went out of his way to find it. Great guy, always pleasent!0

Been a customer of theirs for a couple of years now and they haven't been so bad until recently (ofcourse they smashed a few of my parcels and ofcourse I didn't hesitate getting the claim form in there and getting my money back although they were very slow to respond and I've had to threaten them with legal action on a couple of occasions as they were taking far too long). I buy and sell quiet a lot on ebay and often arrange collection of parcels from my end as well as arranging collection of my own parcels. one of the parcels I arranged collection for was collected on 16th January, 20th January got as far as the local dept (if there is such thing) 21st out for delivery then 21st NOT RECEIVED BY COURIER. despite numerous emails and phone calls finally on 8th February I got their email saying they have no idea what happened to my parcel so therefore I need to put a claim form in. very bad customer service but what else would you expect from a cheap delivery company. they're ok until something goes wrong! {a bit like BT}0

myhermes delivered my package yesterday but they just dumped a £150 pair of shoes in my porch without trying to make any contact with me what so ever!! my nan who is very elderly and sits watching the world go by out the window observed the driver just dump the package and scoot. He didn't knock or ring the bell. If I were that way inclined I could phone the company and say I never received the goods and have myself a free pair of shoes lucky for them im not!!0
