Fair enough; I still wouldn't trust everything I read though :)
  • I just wanted to say I regularly send items via MyHermes and they have all got there.

One did arrive damaged and they asked all the usual questions couriers ask and paid out the full amount of the claim. Again this was one of of MANY parcels sent.

They quote 3-5 days delivery, most arrive in 3 days, some more far flung items arrive in 5 but the majority get there quicker.

I have no trouble in recommending them and in fact they are coming on Monday to collect another package.
  • ive used this service 5 times and 4 of my parcels was over 5 working days im still waiting for my last one which is now 9 working days late 2 WEEKS IS A LONG TIME TO WAIT FOR ONE PARCEL JUST FOR THE SAKE OF SAVING 1.00 I WOULD HAVE JUST GONE WITH PARCEL2GO WHO ARE ALWAYS ON TIME AND FAB SERVICE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM.

MYHERMERS dont even have a contact number to call and speak to someone you have to write an email that they dont even reply my tracking info says its delayed at depot !! what the hell can be delaying it its not customs lol sooooooooo annoying my last parcel arrived and it was shredded to bits and all the screws had fallen out leaving me to buy new ones to put my item together

if 5 times isnt giving them the benefit of the doubt then i dont know what is NEVER AGAIN im using this service its appalling and shouldnt be allowed its wrong i didnt even know they was this bad didnt read any reviews beforehand WISH I DID NOW THO thought they were a new buisness.........

LOOSERS indeed anyone who works for them have some high praise and it baffles me if it were me id be ahsamed of this complete joke of a buisness thats creating problems for innocent customers who payed for a service their not getting

Oh dear. I have just sold 2 things on ebay and I've put them inside a shed to be collected (as I will be out) and used myhermes for the first time. My house is notoriously difficult to find to boot. I'll report back on the service. I hope it goes OK as I am very nervous about selling anything on ebay to start with, let alone to have problems with delivery. Will have a look at the other couriers mentioned here. I very much like the idea of leaving the parcel in the shed if I am out, and would want to do this with others as the post office is a real trek. Do people think it one courier covers an area - if so I might start to feel happier once me/the courier know where my house is, and know where to go when I am out ? I'd probably be posting 2-3 parcels a week, and I quite liked that myhermes in that I only started the transaction at 9pm tonight, and the pick up is tomorrow. Bit worried ! sal x
  • I notice that the there are many comments in relation to myhermes!

Well, I had the misfortune to book them to bring a package from a friend to me. Easy, or so I thought!!

Firstly, my friend's printer wouldn't print the barcode. When the guy arrived to pick it up, he refused point blank to take this which was fair enough, but the manner in which my friend was spoken to was apparently very frightening.

I called 'myhermes' and advised them what happened and asked them what they were going to do about it. The girl I spoke to was very pleasant and suggested she rearrange for the collection of the package to be rearranged. I told her that I had already paid and that I was not paying again!

We arranged the re-collection for the following Tuesday. Guess what, they turned up on Monday to collect the package! Now as I booked a 24/48hr delivery therefore, I expected the package to arrive Tuesday at the earliest, Wednesday at the latest!

Nothing Tuesday, nothing Wednesday, NOTHING THURSDAY and at 2pm on FRIDAY afternoon, the door bell went. I answered the door. This guy, with no form of ID, asked me if I was Mr X, I confirmed that I was indeed Mr X. He said he had a large package for me. I wondered what this was and when I saw the HUGE box, I thought to myself, 'I haven't ordered anything from anywhere'!

He went back to his vehicle collected which was a big box, dumped it on the floor (no care as to whether or not it was fragile), asked me to sign the computerised thingy they all use these days. I did so, he turned and just walked away.

When I looked at the top of the parcel, it was from 'myhermes', 2 days later than it should have been!

I normally use a Company called interparcel.com and they were superb, a bit more expesive, but EXCELLENT!. I never had a problem and guess what, 'myhermes' may be cheaper but as the old adage goes, 'you only get what you pay for'! Yes 'myhermes' was cheaper but in all honesty, not worth the saving.

I for one will not use 'myhermes' EVER again!

Further to the above, they picked both parcels from the shed, and put a card through. No complaints from the buyers (yet) so I am assuming all is well. So far I am quite impressed. sal x

I've just yesterday had experience with this courier and am really not pleased. Ordered some stuff from Next, to be delivered yesterday (Monday 16th). When I ordered I asked could a note be put in with it to leave with my neighbour if I wasn't in. She's always in and has no problem taking in parcels for me. Was told this wasn't a problem.

I then came home yesterday to a note through the door it was taken back to the depot with no name/number on it to re-arrange delivery. So I phoned the main courier number on it. Got a recorded message saying I had to go to their website to contact a courier.

I went on the website - getting irritated at this point. Filled in the form and asked for the courier to contact me. Also spoke to the neighbour just in case the parcel was left and the form not filled in right. She said they hadn't even tried her door to delivery anything - so hadn't read the instruction left when I ordered it.

Back in the house to an email from them saying they couldn't discuss the parcel and to contact Next. So I phoned Next..by now pretty annoyed. Next said they will leave another note to leave with the neighbour but that's all they can do. which has been done.

I'm quite annoyed that they didn't read the note to leave with the neighbour and that I can't even phone and say when will you be redelivering so I can make sure to stay in/get the neighbour to sit in my house instead of hers etc.

I took in a parcel for my next door neighbour who when he came home claimed the parcel was not for him.I e:mailed Myhermes and was told i would be contacted within two days. Two weeks on still no contact.
  • Sending stuff back to a catalogue (at their cost) - the catalogue people arranged for this lot to collect it and told me it would be within a couple of days (but not to worry if I wasn't in as they'd leave a card and rearrange collection). Had to go out the next day, got home to find card with a note to say would call again the next day. I called the number on the card (courier) and left a message asking roughly what time they would arrive - no one bothered to call back.
Got up early next day and just mooched about all morning, went upstairs to check emails and heard someone put something in letterbox, assumed it was the postman, when I went downstairs 20 mins later I found it was another card from MyHermes (THEY HADN'T KNOCKED OR RUNG THE DOORBELL!!!!!), I called the number again and left a few choice words on the answer phone. I then emailed the company suggesting they paid me the money I'd lost through not being at work - NO REPLY.
The bloke eventually turned up today (he looked about 90), no apology for the hassle, just a complaint about how heavy the parcel was.
MY first experience of them and I am not at all impressed, I certainly wouldn't use them myself.
