As a buyer what puts you off a listing?

I do love the 'negative feedback will be left for buyers' really shows how much they understand ebay doesn't it.
I always think one of the problems ebay has caused is that everyone thinks that they can be a good seller. So they just put there items up with no thought to marketing or there customers expecting to earn a fortune.
Where as in fact to be a good seller on ebay is just as much hard work as selling on the high street but with a few slightly different skills. Successful traders work hard at it. Its not an easyway to earn money.
If more people actually did a little research and understood the rules not only would they be more successful but they would have less problems.
Though if that happened it wouldnt be as entertaining reading some of the listings0 -
Don't think so, I think it's just the sheets they use to make it. Although it is very expensive paper. :rotfl:Ummm.... is that LSD?!?This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

We always put "Buyers who do not pay within 7 days will recieve an unpaid item strike, and the item will be either relisted, or offered to the second-highest bidder". Only problem is... the buyer can decide to pay on day 7 of the unpaid item dispute (so 14 days after they bought the item) just to avoid the strike. We then have to refund (we only hold the item for the buyer for the 7 days), leaving us wide open to a neg for non-performance .Payment must be made within 3 (or X amount of) Days of Auction end or item will be relisted
Its rubbish as ebay gives you 7 daysBack on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

anyone want an aiming thingy ? :rotfl:
At least they can't get accused of keyword spamming.
One thing that always gets me is people who blank out the registration number of a car they are selling. It's not like no-one has ever seen it before.

Just found this listing- surely it would be quicker to take a photo of the item than to get a five year old to draw it?This is my opinion. I fear this seller may not be around much longer as they have posted on the community boards with a real ID. Its a new seller too. Why dont they check the T&Cs before selling?0

I won't buy something that looks like it was written by someone illiterate. I mean honestly, if spelling (or indeed, writing at at all) is not your forte, ask for help!

it just says that they've put no effort into the listing and are probably junk.
I have good friends with dyslexia etc. and they would get their listing checked first!
i have been known to cut/paste the main text of the listing into the 'ask a question' box and send it back with the spellings corrected. :TMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession
