Just a bit of research. As a buyer and seller always interested in what people's opinions of listings.
As a buyer what puts you off a listing?
One of mine is reams of T&Cs this makes me not even read the listing most of the time.
So what are yours?

Badly spelled or punctuated listings, reams of terms and conditions, agressive 'non payers will be hunted down and killed' empty threats, and excessive postage charges.0

Text speak. Although there is a a very profitable product that is often badly listed by the inarticulate dingles that can be relisted very successfully.
And seeing more T&C's/rants/excuses/guff than actual description. I want top know about the item, not how uptight and bitter the seller is about a long past run in with an idiot.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

The biggest turn-off for me is a listing without a proper picture of the item on sale. Pictures stripped from the web are not acceptable to me - I want to see what it is I'm paying for. I agree with you about the reams of T&Cs in some listings, but the only T&Cs that matter are ones from eBay and Paypal. A seller can't enforce any of his own T&Cs if they conflict with the the ones from eBay/Paypal.
I also avoid sellers from Germany and Austria.0 -
One of the most annoying thing to me is when they say they will not be held responsible for items lost in the post.
I've only had one item I was expecting go missing and the seller had this written as part of their T&Cs. The transaction was a complete nightmare. It really put me off buying anything from someone else that has it as part of their auction terms.0 -

That annoys me too, but it does not overly worry me as I know that I'll be protected by paypal.
What worries me more is what type of attitiude the seller has to have to put that in a listing. What other problems will they have up their sleeve?<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

I totally agree about stock pictures also poorly taken pictures. Although I did take a risk a while ago on an item with no picture. I got it for a third the price of similar ones and it was in excellent condition. I wouldnt do this for expensive items though0 -
Descriptions clearly written my morons and poor pictures.
I'm indifferent about T&Cs (although I have mine included regarding combined postage etc).Terms & Conditions Apply0 -
Poor feedback % always puts me off
agressive T and Cs
too high p and p0 -
Huge, multicoloured writing.. I don't know why, it just bugs me.
People who say they will take you "100% to court if you don't pay" - They can take 45% of me to court or nothing at all.
As pp have said, endless t&cs that are largely pointless.0 -

See that doesn't always with me it makes me cautious but its always worth investigation as to why they have a low %.
Sellers with low turnover it can look really low when they have only sold a few items whereas powersellers can have 99.9% but when you look into it they can have loads of negs but because of high turnover it doesnt really show in the %0
