Oh and people who write about their rules on feedback, ie you better leave it for me and I'll think about giving you some0

Reams of T+Cs - on the odd occasion I read them, I'll only buy if they actually make sense and aren't in contradiction to ebay rules.
Music , hideous colour choices - ie pink text on a black background. What you think looks pretty looks hideous and unprofessional to me.
Badly taken photos / stock photos that have been enlarged way more than they should have been.
Bad spelling and text speak (use a spell check if you can't spell  )
Lack of description - I don't want to buy 'trousers, size 18', I want to buy 'black bootcut trousers, size 18, 30" inside leg, worn once, brand name, waist in inches'.0 -
I agree with you, especially about the 'last one left' type of statement in bold huge letters where the item is on a BIN with 99 others! (yes I found one like that last week).
Or how about, 'unique hand made item, you'll never find another one like this as it is 100% handmade' then see the seller has 10 others absolutely identical listed on a BIN (seen that one as well!).
Yea, not only is it an insult to a buyers intelligence it's a subtle as a brick.
I used to sell mostly by auction when i was running a business on ebay and i achieved alot better average price than most of my competitors but my call to action was always alot more subtle, theirs would be "DONT MISS OUT" well, their not likely to when you have 100 listed and 2,000 feedback for selling the same item,
My descriptions were more sleek, informative and to the point, my only call to action would be, "thank your visiting us today and good luck"
The call to action in that statement is "good luck" it's There but it's subtle enough not to offend, it's just a subtle assumption that they will bid and it works,
If i had left it at "thanks for visiting us today" that is a "closing statement" that is akin to a "goodbye" and the viewer is more likey to hit the back button and leave the listing, by ending on "good luck" i'm encouraging them to bid without shouting at them as they will know i mean "good luck in the auction" even though i didn't say that and it Means i have steered their final thoughts onto the "bidding process" not on leaving the listing

Sellers threatening negative feedback if the buyer does not follow their mountain of T&C's.
Always makes me laugh!:D0 -
On a technical note, I get really irritated with auction descriptions that are really wide and don't fit properly in my browser (even when maximised) and I have to scroll horizontally to read them. This usually happens with Auctiva templates.
"Lazy" listings (ie no info, just two or three words and a fuzzy photo)
Listings without photos.
Listings in "free postage" categories that include a note to the effect that there will, in fact, be an additional charge for postage
Also not keen on the "items lost in the post are not my responsibility" mallarkey. I won't bid on those, full stop.
Notes like "Contact me for postage costs to ....." and, in the case of clothes: "Contact me if you want to know the measurements." Just put the bleeding info in the listing and be done with it! OK it will take a bit more time and effort to list your item, but then the chances are you'll get more bids! (I recently auctioned an old minidisc player which I thought would interest nobody, well I had bids from 5 different countries! I can't imagine each one of these foreign bidders would have contacted me for postage costs if I had not gone through the efforts of including them in the listing!)
And finally, individual sellers who refer to themselves in the plural ie "We pride ourselves on the good quality of our products" "We aim to dispatch our products within 5 working days" etc, making it sound like they are some huge outfit when in fact they are one guy in his garage.0 -
