is it really cheaper?? i might have to try that. why is it cheaper?
It is indeed. :) I have no idea why- it seems you get charged a standard auction price and then a price for the buy it now on top. We used to do it quite a bit.... but it does look a bit dim if your buyers don't realise why you're doing it so we stopped. :o
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

my favourite with cars for sale is

this is broke but it is an easy fix.

if it's an easy fix why haven't you done it?
You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.

Ooops...I just listed a load of stuff that with this on it. I just wanted to explain why I had so much stuff never or hardly worn to get rid of at once. Hope it doesn't put people off?

It may be just me - is just one of my hates. I find it much better if the seller just says it no longer fits - that way I can imagine that there is no one smaller then me in the world! :p

I'll bear it in mind for the other stuff I have to list over the next few weeks.

Thinking about it, it would probably annoy me too! :D

Oh yes, that reminds me, I absolutely hate photos of things laid out on the floor and the photo has got the taker's feet in the bottom! For the love of all that is holy please crop them out, I don't need to know that you're in desperate need of Curanail, especially if you're selling shoes

Your going to find this guys quick growing single central toe rather disturbing then (pic 4). I think he's using the 20p piece to give a sense of scale to his abnormality

Just thought of another one..people that don;t know how to use ebay and so have a start price and BIN price that are exactly the same. You see a lot of them, start price £4.99 BIN £4.99...why!!

It maximises exposure - many people search for auctions, many search for BINs - this captures both markets, as well as improving placement on Best match.

It's a decent strategy, but requires lots of research. I do suspect though that many of the sellers who do this are just clicking buttons regardless of cost.

I never buy anything if it has a stock photo - I want to see the actual item not a catalogue pic.

Don't like multi coloured text - wouldn't put me off buying if I really wanted it but I do find it very hard to read.

Endless lines of terms and conditions.

Text talk is a no no no for me - if they can't be bothered to advertise properly it makes me wonder if they can be bothered to post it,help with problems etc.

This has been a quite interesting thread. There has been quite a few things that the majority seem to hate like the reams of Terms and Conditions ans Text speak, poor Grammer, Stock photos.

The centering of text is quite controversial though

I agree that this thread has been very enlightening. I always thought stock photos were better than my shaky efforts but I can see I will just have to work on my camera technique instead.
