    Thanks Twink.

Near the end of the test i was thinking "ah well, at least i know what to expect next time"
    It was still disappointing tho'

  • Can't remember exactly what I failed my first test on but it was something really petty to do with position at a junction. I'm convinced I never did it!

Second time I !!!!!!ed up totally on a roundabout which was really down to nerves as I'd been doing the same roundabout perfectly in all my lessons! Fair cop on that one.

    I failed my test today.

7 minor points but 3 serious.

1st serious was I took too long between doing observations and moving off on hill start and didn't notice white van attempting to overtake!!!!

Other 2 were for observations after that. (I knew I had failed and just fell to pieces I think :o )

Ah well Hopefully next time :o

:( just look at it as a practice run for the next time

put in for another test ASAP ,i found that helped hugely rather than having a big gap in between :)

dust yourself off and get back out there and go for it :)

    good luck

    :)

I failed my first test, i was just a bundle of nerves and did everything wrong.
I thought my second driving test was going really well, until the examiner said 'we're going to do an emergency stop', I looked down and realised i had'nt got my seat belt on, there was no way i was going to do an emergency stop without it, so i had to tell the examiner and stop and put it on, he had'nt noticed. After that everything went wrong and i failed.
I gave up after that, because i really did'nt need to drive and could'nt afford to run a car anyway.

Good luck on your next test

I've already put in for a re-test. I'm quite lucky as my test (and resit :o ) are paid for. My credit for lessons has expired although I'm on a discounted rate now. Don't know new date. BSM sorting it all out for me. To phone tomoro'

When driving on your test - think to yourselve that the tester isn't there. You might/will get minors but he/she may pass you basicly on how well you drive. They tend to dismiss little mistakes. If you make a mistake, don't freat, just forgot about it and carry on as normal.

One tip - should a car/lorry stop in front on you and flash their headlights. Say to the tester. She/He has "stopped" to let me though - don't say flashed their headlights as you will fail! Very good tip from my LGV instructor and I used it at my test on Monday (passed :) )

Aaaaggghhh, just failed cos some w****r in a fiesta tried to undercut me down a bus lane, just as I was moving into it, oh, and he was speeding as well. Gutted. Retake in a couple of weeks.

I've failed twice from my own faults.

    Attempts:

1st) On the hazard perception I was told to click when I see a hazard. Incorrect advice. You need to click on every change in speed or direction.

2nd) My instructor told me to take a test after 15 lessons. I was so badly taught I was looking down at the gear shift and distracted by drivers on my RIGHT at roundabouts! That instructor was a total idiot but I didn't know it because I never knew anything else.

3rd) I got in the wrong lane out of the test centre and the examiner grabbed the wheel making me a total mess.

4th) In Plymouth I was forced to overtake a tractor on a dual carriageway. After overtaking I left the indicator on because we were pulling off. That counts as a instant fail apparently. For the first time though it was my fault - progress!

5th) !!!!!! off, I moved to Bournemouth. Everything was easier. This time I failed in torrential rain that drowned out my indicator and being used to auto cancel I left it on for too long

6th) Passed with 2 minors. I actually found it very easy this time. I think it's because I just gave up hope. You just need someone like me to tell you all the stuff they don't.
Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker
  • I failed twice, and still can't believe I passed the third one
    1) What didn't go wrong? I went through a red light (was turning amber as I approached it, and I'd spent too long in the car with my dad!) Then I nearly hit a van, and then I rolled backwards down the hill while doing a hill start. Plus the 20 or so minors, I think I had something for every category
    2) Went surprisingly well, but I failed for going over a speed bump too fast, poor examiner nearly hit the windscreen, not sure about that one, cos I wasn't speeding, only doing about 28mph...
    3) Same examiner as before, and this time he took me down a road with speedbumps, turn right onto another road of bumps, do a turn in the road and go back down the same road, I took them all at 10mph. I also distracted him with talk of goldfish so he didn't notice when I cut someone up...
