Got my third tomorrow! Would of had it yesterday but they had to cancel as examiner not available!!!

    1) 1 Major 4 Minors, failed coming out of test centre, big white van parked on the left of the centre exit on a narrow road, instructor told me to turn left, turned left noticed a car approaching before I could break to stop myself coming out more forward examiner slammed brakes and I knew it I failed! End of test he was like you drove well apart from the beginning GRR!!!

    2) 2 Majors 3 Minors, 1 major for being too wide on my parallel parking, not enough space for car waiting behind to squeeze by! My mistake, she let me re do it as on my first go I got it perfect but didn't leave a 2 car width gap (grr my fault!!), 2nd major when I was told to pull over to the left I indicated too early, driver behind thinking I was probably pulling in but I was going straight and overtook me. However instructor was a nightmare on 2 occasions she gave me wrong directions or changed directions at the last second! She was known for being a strict one to give passes.

Ahh well hoping tomorrow goes fine, just want to pass before the new ones roll in.

  • :(I had 6 serious which is quite bad

I had 1 serious resulting from 5 minors for going too slow

1 Serious for overtaking a road sweeper - apparently I should have stayed behind it

1 Serious for driving uo over the curb when turning left with a van parked opposite the junction

1 Serious for positioning not moving back into correct position after parked cars

1 Serious for positioning to turn left in a one way street

I cant remember the other one and my test was only yesterday so all in all not a good result - but I did the independant driving which was fine and also a perfect reverse around the corner

I have to post this as I feel for the younger kids now taking a test. Mine were about 40 years ago. Bike test 1st, followed by car test.

No issues, both passed 1st time, but faultless, oh no, I still recall the issues, but the ability to drive correctly and with confidence seemed to overide all else.

Edited to add I nearly hit a dog and skidded on the bike test, got the emergncy stop in the exact same position, (did better). On the car test I had a learner examiner in the back of the car, could see him shaling his head, but still passed.

    Don't worry, it's just reality, ;););) :T:T:T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

My daughter who I might add is a very good driver but cannot deal with her test day nerves, failed the test 8 times. The best fail was she was asked to pull up at the side of the road and to do a three point turn. She did everything brilliantly, checked her mirrors, good clutch control, didn't hit the kerb.

The problem was when she completed the manoeuvre, the examiner said "Do you realise what you have doe?" daughter replied "No", examiner couldn't stop grinning but didn't laugh and said "well done, the only problem is we are facing back the way we started ?"

Poor girl, but he failed her.
