Thanks for updating me!
Can I transfer gramaphone records onto it?
(only joking - but I really do feel that old at the moment. I had to explain to a colleague who Gene Pitney was today...)when they were giving out brains, I thought they said 'trains', so I asked for a slow one...0 -
what is an Ipod shuffleYou don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Do you think they will have them in before the offer ends on the 18th...hope they do. They were out of stock on monday and went back today(they said instore they was a delivery today if they had any). But "temporary unaviliable"...im going to phone them up and ask when they think they'll be back in store.0 -
Get to a branch of Tesco where they have sold out, take the box to the checkout, pay your £48.99, get your 1047 points, go with your receipt to the electronics desk to collect your iPod, receive an apology and your money back, and get £41.92 worth of tokens for 5 minutes work!
It worked for me anyway: I wonder how many more tiimes I can do that before they restock...0 -
Doubt that would work but could try...The box for the shuffle says temporary un availiable....what did your box say???0
-
The box at my store also says temporarily unavailable...
:idea:0 -
There was no box saying anything. I took one of the CD boxes to the checkout, the computer there indicated nothing about them being out of stock (so why do they keep us in queues while they do their stocktaking at the tillls if it doesn't work?) so I was sent with my receipt to the electronics counter to collect my goods, and that is where I got my rebate. :rotfl:0

and Martin reckons the airmiles are worth 9.21p, which is moire than my calculations on the basis of London-Bangkok (which values them about 5.8p). Assuming they are, that makes the 60 airmiles worth £5.53, compared with £10 of deals. £10 of deals is definitely worth more than £5.53, so it seems clear that converting your tesco points to airmiles is a bad idea.
Wrong, wrong, wrong...With the airmiles you're getting in the end something that has a clear, full cash value & which can therefore be used against the purchase of anything travel-wise - even if it's on say a 50% off sale.
With Clubcard Deals tokens you've only got access to ridiculously over-priced meals, or full brochure prices, ie. I get 50% off a restaurant in Kensington whenever I go there (through toptable.co.uk), & it's available for Clubcard Deals tokens - but only at the full price. Hence the Deals tokens, in this instance - are only worth double the cash. I tried several travel agents within deals, looking for cruises & holiday villages...yet they all refused to offer me the sale weeks avail. at the sale prices, &insisted had to convert the vouchers to the full brochure price...nearly triple the sale price.
MFI? Not knowing anything about fittings & furniture, I'll stick to appliances - look at your Smeg 60/40 - £1,200 at MFI & they don't even provide a model number, so no idea what year it is from & can't compare easily. But a quick check a pricerunner reveals latest models selling between £600 & £700 - how's that worth 4x then?
Same goes for virtually everything else available - and hence why I cringe when people say things like 'free food' or '£8 for an ipod', as is a mug's calculation.Bob_Snephew wrote:I wonder how many more tiimes I can do that before they restock...
Or before they suss you (not very difficult these days with I.T.) - remove all your points, confiscate you from clubcard & hopefully make an example of you, by taking you to court for theft & deception? Always amazes me as to why just because people find that they can do something, through another's error, that makes it ok. When the bank deposits a £100,000 cheque in error to your account, and you spend it all before they notice - do you go to jail or not? Answer is, many have when didn't pay up.0 -
How long does it take to sign up for a Clubcard? Can I do it instore? Is it activated straight away?
Sorry for the stupid questions!0 -
Just picked mine up this morning...had a few left - Portsmouth, North Harbour store.
Thanks to the OP :T0
