Update Note 16 May: The deal is still on. Do make sure you ring first if you're making a specific trip though as the extra points aren't available in all stores.
Insert By Martin....
What's the deal?
Buy a 512 Mb iPod shuffle at Tesco's (for £48.97) and get an extra 999 clubcard points plus the 48 you would normally get for the purchase.
Spend these points in store and they're worth £10.48, effectively making the player's cost £38.49... not bad...
However as I always say, don't spend Tesco Vouchers instore. Instead use them on Tesco Clubcard Deals. These are things like days out, RAC subscriptions, gifts, etc... Do this and they're worth roughly four times as much, so the 1048 points becomes £42 worth of vouchers. This means, if you're spending the vouchers on things you'd use anyway (of which there should be many) you're effectively only paying £7 for the shuffle.
For more details on Tesco Clubcard Deals see 'Never Spend Tesco clubcard vouchers in-store!'
The cheapest iPod around is about £43 so you'll definitely be quids in.
Where can I find one?
165 stores have the offer on; all extra stores plus some superstores. If you're not sure if your superstore stocks them use the store locator to find its number and give it a quick ring, in case it's a wasted effort going there. Unfortunately this is an in-store deal only.
What can I use my deals vouchers on?
Some examples:
£7.37 in clubcard vouchers/£32 in deals vouchers = day entrance ticket to Alton Towers.
£2.50 in clubcard vouchers/£10 in deals vouchers = toward Purple Parking (Park & Ride airport service)
£11.85 in clubcard vouchers/£47.40 in deals vouchers = 12 blockbuster rental tokens
£13.75 in clubcard deals/£55 in deals vouchers = RAC roadside cover

Just to let you all know.
You can get a 512mb Ipod shuffle from tesco for £48.97.
This comes with 999 bonus points.
These points finish in a few days I think.
Making 1047 points.
The points are on your reciept, so no waiting to see if Mr T obliges.
Or £41.88 in x4 vouchers.
£7.09 for a shuffle!
This is great if like me you use the vouchers.
I buy a lot from MFI with them.
My mum buys her car recovery.
I hope this helps you.

Personally speaking, I'd go for the !gb refurb Logik that Currys are selling for £25 over this. You've twice the storage space, a LCD display, better navigation between songs. The Ipod Shuffle is a very basic mp3 player, and you're only really paying for the name.
That said, if you've got a use for the vouchers, it's an unbeatable price for the Shuffle.::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::0 -
hi
any idea when the extra 999 points finish I rang the store but were no help0 -
is it just the ipod shuffle this offer is on?0
-
Offer is on any apple ipod and I *think* the SEL about it said expires 18/04.
Not really wanting to get into a debate about there being better alternatives to this as an MP3 player, but for the job it's intended to do this is a fantastic player for the gym etc - it's as light as anything and with no screen there really is very little to worry about damaging.0
