The Shuffle is £48.97 and gives 999 bonus clubcard points making a total of 1047 clubcard points.

This is worth £10.47 in Tesco vouchers. These can be converted into Clubcard Deals Vouchers for specific retailers worth 4 times as much making £41.88. So, you paid £48.97 for the ipod plus £41.88 of vouchers you can spend, so you effectively paid £7.09 for the ipod shuffle.

If you can use one of the Clubcard Deals retailers (see this site and Tescos for the best offers) it's a great deal. Thanks to the O.P. - I picked one up for my sister and will use the vouchers for my next car service.

Best thing to do with this offer is buy one for £49, sell it for about £40 if you can, then you get £40 of deals vouchers for about £9! Much more expensive if you try doing this on Ebay, but if you can find someone at work or advertise it locally it could work.

If I bought one and got the 999 bonus points, then took it back for a refund, would the points be deducted from my clubcard? I've taken stuff back before and I've never been asked to give them my clubcard but I don't know if the points have stayed as it's only been small points anyway.

I'd be very surprised if they weren't!

  • I have all my Tesco points changed automatically into air miles. Is it better to use them for Tesco deals / days out etc? Can anyone tell me?

  • No one ever mentions converting your Tesco points as Air Miles. Tesco's will do this for you. You get 80 miles for 250 points. If you use your Tesco Visa in conjunction they double your points. We pay as many bills as possibble with Tesco Visa and have been to the USA and Thailand with the proceeds. This represents real value.
