I checked over the phone that the 999 extra points offer was still available and they said yes. However, when I went in to collect it they said the points offer is only valid on a different model with a smaller memory. How come? Can anyone help?
Hope this helps.

Does anybody have an email for Tesco head office?
Im a bit !!!!!! off really, because i would really like an iPod at that price, but none of my 2 local Tesco extra stores have them, or a store 30 miles away. The closest store that does have it is 60 miles away (Norwich) so thats a good hour away. It would cost around £15 to get there and back so it doesn't seem worth travelling all that way for it. I called them earlier and asked these questions- Would you be able to send the item to another Tesco store? Their answer No.
- Ok, how about if i paid postage? Their answer, No
- Would you be able to post to my home address then and i pay postage? Nope
- Ok could you hold one for me, so i dont travel all that way to find that you sold the last one 5 minutes before i get there? No yet again
I think thats poor customer service, not even holding some goods to save me going up there for nothing. My local bookstore would hold something back for me, so why for such a large company will they not do this??
They say they have deliveries every day, but that doesn't really help, the stock could be there anytime, or never at all before the offer finishes. Nobody seems to know
Tesco are always saying what good customer service they have, but i believe holding stock for someone is one of the most basic things you can do.
I hope somebody has an email for their Head Office, the girl i spoke to on the phone was rude and had no knowledge of their policies.
Cheers,
Matt0 -

I was thinking more of a personal email, as people have them for some companies0 -
Do you have the name of the person who was so unhelpful? The email address for Terry Leahy is terry.leahy@tesco.com but generally they would just forward your email to customer services anywayThanks to all who post constructively.

MattOsprey wrote:Just so you are aware. The double points will work for the ipod, but not for the bonus 999 points.
Matt
Oh yes I knew that... sorry to confuse people... I spent £54 altogether and got my 999 points plus another 108.....0 -
Picked one up from the big store in Blackpool.
Extra points should come in useful as we recently cashed in some previous ones to go towards a stay in London.
Read some poor reviews of the iPod on Amazon which put me off a bit but so far so good.0 -
My understanding is that that iPod products are OK but overpriced, and they tend to receive all the media attention, so Creative Zen (for example) may well offer better value-for-money
Reminds me of all the people that insist that they must have a TomTomGo, whereas many would argue that the Garmin i3 is much better value for moneyThanks to all who post constructively.

I went to the big tescos extra just south of Doncaster at lunchtime, they had no 512mb shuffles in.
I nipped into York askham bar on the way home with the intention of getting a 1gig shuffle but they don't do them, didn't have any 512mb ones so I got a 1gig nano instead. Got the 999 points plus 108 for buying the ipod so if I use the points wisely the nano will have cost me about £62. Cheaper than the 1gig shuffle I was thinking of getting.0
