    Good evening;)
Finished off oh's gooseberry wine (so i thought he just said there are several more...)
Took ds's to an easter bonnet contest, then went to the market for veg and flowers for my neighbour.
Ds's voluntarily cleared the front garden of dead leaves, whilst I mopped everywhere moppable, broke the mop and got a new mop head for £1. OH planted ds2's beans in the garden and made a huge cane pyramid for them to climb up.
Went to co op with ds2 but there werent many bargains, except belly pork and some mince that had been reduced.
Went to charity shop and got a 'fat face' denim jacket for £1, havent tried it on yet, if i like it i will keep it otherwise it's ebay for that one (bound to go for a decent price if i do sell it)
Cooked sprats for a starter (classic OS food and SO cheap) and smoked haddock with mashed spuds and asparagus (3 bunches for £1:) and then watched dr who. Made soup for tomorrow out of leftover potato and asparagus.
*had* to try some mini eggs and marshmallow ducks i got the kids for their easter baskets, just to see what they were like. They made a nest each out of paper from my shredder and have put them outside their bedrooms. AAH! cute;)

Hello everyone and Happy Easter to you all!!!

It's all quiet in the land of SnowyOwl...just the usual annoyance of being unable to sleep. This isn't being helped by next door who seem to be having some sort of stomping and door slamming contest though there has been no shouting. Who knows what goes on in other peoples houses...just wish it was a bit quieter!

I have no Easter eggs. Please don't feel sorry for me, I need an Easter egg like I need a hole in the head. Though the chances of me ignoring any reduced eggs which might appear in the shops over the next few days are pretty minimal - I really really must join a gym...

OS today will consist of a bit of tidying up and a bit of filing. Did lots of washing yesterday, and I'll do some cleaning once I've tidied. Then it's definitely time to get my nose buried in a book or two for college, the exams aren't so terribly far away now.

Have a lovely Easter Sunday everyone

    All the best

  • Morning Snowy & Happy Easter Everyone!!

Got back last night and had a lovely time, needed to get back for the nurse this morning and didnt want to travel early. Had a bad couple of nights but was lovely seeing my family, nephew and niece:D DD received another 3 eggs and £20, so she is very happy. My mum had bought me my fav Lindt egg too-but havent opened it yet!

Have tons of washing to do as bedding has been changed and clothes from my sisters as she has a smelly dog and smokes-so everything will need to be washed. When I got in last night, I had to have a shower as I just felt yucky!

Came back to a lovely clean house as cleaner had been here friday.

Sister had done a huge roast yesterday at 3pm, so when we got in, DD & I had some crumpets and butter-whilst OH had a frozen curry and rice reduced to 50p. Then had a shower and went to bed...was totally knackered!!

Weather has been miserable and raining constantly, so it looks like the airer and possibly the TD as I have so much to get through.

Anyway, Im going to go but hope everyone has a great Easter Sunday and dont scoff too much chocolate. May be treating ourselves to a lovely chineese later:eek:

    Breakie:Scrambled Egg & Toast
    Lunch:Jacket Spud, Salad and Tuna
    Dinner:Chineese treat possibly

    PP
    xx

Morning SnowyOwl, Morning Penny Pincher, Morning everyone :hello:

Hope everyone is having a lovely OS Easter Sunday :easter:

No Easter eggs or chocolate bunnies for the apple_mint household ... we are all busy trying to loose weight, but I do plan to have a nice bar of Green & Black's as a treat some time ;) Probably a piece a day ....

Planning to go to a local car boot today along with some batch soup making. OH and I are hoping to get out into the garden later on to tidy it up. I got some viola's yesterday to pop in.

Dried some apple slices in the dehydrator yesterday so will have some sprinkled over my breakfast.

Just taken yoghurt out of the yoghurt maker. I also need to get the washing machine on.

Breakfast: shredded wheat, dried apple & milk, plus a glass of orange juice
Lunch: HM bread roll and HM soup
Dinner: still thinking about this but it will involve the gammon I put in the slow cooker yesterday

Have a lovely OS day everyone
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

Good morning and Happy Easter to everyone :)

Not going to have a very OS day here today but....well it is easter!
We are going to pick up neice and nephew and my mum and take them out for lunch before going on the the main attraction of the day ......The Gnome Reserve :rotfl: About 30 miles away,, in the middle of nowhere there lives a lady and she spends her life making Gnomes and Pixies and they live in her garden!! You have to wear a red hat, sometimes with a bell on the end, and then go exploring to see if you can find them......my OH says it is his favouritest place in the whole wide world .... and I chose to mary him??

I got up early as I have some ironing to do, so I had better make a start I suppose instead of being here!

    Have a lovely day

    Morning everyone. Happy Easter.

Had a ridicously quiet day at work yesterday. As its a bank I think everyone just assumes we are closed over a bank holiday weekend. It was nice having it quiet to start with but the boredom set in a bit.

When I was at work hubby was at my mum and dad's helping build a new fence so when I finished I went there too. My mum had made us all bacon, sausage, egg and beans and it was great!!

When the fence builders had finished we all went to our local for a drink. By 7 o'clock I was a bit worse for wear shall we say and tucked up in bed by 9 last night!

Todays plans include tidying the kitchen, ironing work clothes, and possibly changing bed cover and cleaning bedroom windows (thats only if I can be bothered and if a better offer doesn't come along)!!

Might pop to Asda as I got a pair of trousers there the other week that don't fit and really need to return them. However its always extremely busy at the weekend. Not just normal busy but the kinda busy where you want to abandon the trolly/basket in middle of shop coz you just can't cope!!

Hope everyone has a great day whatever you are up to.

Morning everybody and Happy Easter to anybody who didn't see me say so at the end of yesterday's thread :D

Can't stay here long, got to leave for church in 5 mins (3 services down, 2 to go - LOL)

Unfortunately my mum has just sent me a text to say that my grandma is very ill, so please spare a thought/prayer for her. She is 89 and very frail to begin with.

    Catch you later
