    Morning everyone:hello:

Isn't it wonderful that it's Saturday and that it's a long weekend!

So far today I've been a right lazy moo - still in my jammies and have had brekkie, but that's about it. Really need to get showered and dressed and go off into town. I have to open an account with the local credit union as they have those secure deposit box thingies - I need to keep some documents safe but not in the house in case of damage or burglary (oh God forbid...). There is literally nowhere else that I can find that provides this service so I have to open an account with them.

OS today I shall be making some nice soup out of a head of celery, and maybe I'll make some bran muffins to refresh my supply in the freezer. They are v.good as they are so filling. I'm expecting a parental visit at some point too, so I'll make some scones - my mother has never been able to make them, while mine are, generally speaking, a success...so I'll give her a batch to take away. Of course I have to do some major cleaning, especially ensuring that all embarrassing items eg credit card statements and so on are tidied away, and that all cat hairs have been removed from my sofas.

Later on I'll go for a walk if it's not raining (so far just a bit grey here), thenI simply must settle down and do some homework for college - I've an essay about the Irish famine to write, and one to write about James Joyce's book Dubliners. It's v.peaceful here especially since the rowdy child from across the way has gone on his holidays, so I shouldn't be disturbed, all I need is a bit of discipline to keep at it.

That's about it - Arkonite_Babe have a fab Easter break, it's always lovely to get away even just for a night. VickyA have a fab time away with Dillbert.

    Cheerio everyone

    :D Hello to all,
Well have been a very busy bunny today, house is immaculate from top to bottom as we had a viewing today. They made all the right noises but I am not getting excited until I see the colour of thier money.

Had a great day yesterday at the open farm with the two little Ron's, and despite it raining as we left the house in the morning we all came home with rosy cheeks where we had caught too much sun. So time for the suncream to become part of the automatic bag pack i think.

Well I dont know what to do with myself now, house tidy, DH at w**k, lunch over and done with, maybe spend some time pottering in the garden. Could easily spend the afternoon on here but always feel guilty! Wish we were seeing someone over easter but with DH work we never have normal hiolidays and i always struggle and feel lonely at these times, :( but hey life could be a lot worse and once we move we will be closer to my family:D

Oh gotta go, littlest Ron has just woken up from his nap and dosent sound too impressed!
Happy Easter to one and all, make the most of seeing your families!
Wish this was me!! He he:EasterBun :EasterBun

    Happy Easter Saturday all,

I have a load of washing to hang inside today. Have popped into town today and treated myself to a couple of nice tops from Primark, £3 each.

Went to Sainsburys and got some pork loins on BOGOF. Will do them in the slow cooker in apple juice tomorrow and have invited mum and sisters over for dinner too. Need to look up a recipe on the index....

OH has gone to get his parents steam cleaner and then I will use it to defrost the freezer. It has gone mega icy in there and chunks of ice fly everywhere when I've taken things out lately. While I'm doing it I will make a food inventory of the freezer.

I still need to sort out my wardrobe and give some clothes to charity, hope to get around to it today.

    afternoon everyone and happy easter!

busy morning doing ironing and complete clearout of DD's bedroom, got rid of loads of stuff all broken andbits missing and a few really babyish toys. also had another turnout in her wardrobe and now have another few things to list on ebay.

breakfast was toast, lunch was cold pizza and chocolate (what a suprise) i think dinner will be something easy and light as everyone has pigged out on easter eggs, maybe scrambley eggs and toast.

house is back to normal today after having man here yesterday to fix all the bits DS3 has destroyed lately and our tv is now bracketed to the wall too high for any of the children to reach (thank goodness) so hopefully no more tv disasters!

will be chilling out this evening with a glass of rose and putting my feet up!

have a wonderful bank holiday weekend evryone!!!

    Afternoon all

Hugs to all - my brain is not fully functioning yet.

Well after my late night last night I gave myself a long lie - woke up at 1130am - OH made coffee and we had a nice long lounge in bed reading the Saturday papers ;)

Just had a lovely brekkie of sausage, bacon and egg - just what was needed
DW is on and WM is on - both should be finished in about 10-15mins - it is a dry day here so will hang out washing when finished.

going to relax this afternoon - now I have got the router for the laptop I will be able to pop on and off all day now - yay

Have a lovely Easter Saturday all

    Take care

Good afternoon everyone :) and a Happy Easter to one and all
A lazy day here today. I dont get to the main computer much when OH is home from work, so I have set up his laptop. Did some ironing first thing this morning, when all the others were still in the Land of Nod, cooked bacon and scrambled eggs for b'fast mid morning. Popped out to a nearby shop to get some eggs and have just taken out of the oven 2 banana and date loaves :D I got the recipe from the index so I have high hopes!
Off to a local attraction tomorrow...The Gnome Reserve!! My husband loves walking around with a Gnome hat on, so we are borrowing a niece and nephew as his excuse to go there :o We are taking my mum too, and are going out for lunch first, not very OS I know but very enjoyable ;)
Not had any lunch but will have a piece of cake when it has cooled a little more, and then Pizza's for tea, reduced from Sainsburys :)
Have a good rest of the day

  • Afternoon all,

2 loads of washing have been done and hung on the line, house tidied and just spent 2 and a half hours cleaning and polishing my mini, classic mini not BMW.

We are off on a charity easter egg run tomorrow, delivering eggs round the town to disabled childrens homes. Last year there were 10 cars from our club, 300 motorbikes and about 20 scooters. Fantastic day, driving through red lights watching the speed cameras flashing away!!! and seeing the kids faces.

Out tonight with a load of friends, so must go and finish some odd jobs.

Just got back from town - I know it's nowhere near shop closing time but I did manage to get a pretty good haul of reduced meat from the co-op for the grand total of £6.56:

    2 x 500g mince, each reduced from £1.19 to 59p
2 x packs of 4 peppered smoked mackerel fillets, one 71p, the other 75p (both 75% off)
1 pack cubed casserole steak, down from £3.89 to £1.94
1 pack pork chops down from £1.99 to 99p
1 pack chicken breast goujons down from £2.99 to 99p

Freezer is now so well stocked I had to take a big box of sausage casserole out to defrost, just to get everything in. So I suppose I know what I'm having for tomorrow's lunch AND dinner...

Also popped into Tesco and Lidl for mushrooms, spring onions, tomato sauce in a jar (sorry!) and mozzarella - the final ingredients for a chicken pasta bake I'll be making on Monday. Tesco also had a nice stack of manky bananas so a banana loaf will definitely be in order.

Have to go out again in an hour or so to choir rehearsal and Mass - the first Mass of Easter, which means that after that I will quite happily be able to square it with my conscience to do this :EasterBun after 40 days without chocolate.
