They are busy competing with each other that they have forgotten that it is their job to make the world blossom into springtime. Can mother earth soothe her daughters and stop their squabbling?
Will spring ever arive? YES IT HAS...

Morning All:hello: & :easter: (didn't see the new smilies yesterday:o)

Had a fab day yesterday, not only did my parents come to visit with a HUGE choccy easter bunny for me (when does my choccy-free lent finish? Oh,not until Sunday then it's :EasterBuntime:D) but also got a suprise trip over to a country park with Hubby to take Spud to see some big shaggy cows, although he was more interested in watching the shadows on the ground than the cows to be honest:rolleyes:

Today a walk to the local shops is on the cards as I seem to have been on another planet when I did my shopping earlier in the week, out of sugar & cotton wool:doh:. Then an afternoon playing with Spud & reading my new P J Tracy book & this eveing dyeing my hair ready for my hairdressers appointment on Tuesday.

    Have a good day everyone:wave:

    Morning everyone :hello:

Did try posting at 7am but DS2 commandeered the PC before I finished :D

It's a 'sort of' bright day atm, but I fear the showers will be here soon. I currently have a couple of beefy men wandering around on my roof, fitting bird guards to mine and my neighbours chimney pots. There are going to be some unhappy Jackdaws later - but all my other neighbours have lovely open chimneys :)

Want to go into town later - pick up a few bits and may even go home via Tesco to see if they have any yellow stickered goodies :D I'll brave B&Q and look for inspiration for decorating the bathroom. I was going to just freshen up the paintwork and have new flooring laid, but if I change the wallpaper, then I can have any colour I want :D I was going to take the boys for a walk up the hill, but I'll leave it till tomorrow as the weather forecast looks better.

Thanks MrsMW - I have 1 lamb shank in the freezer wich I shall go and defrost now and put in SC, as Mr TM is away. There will be enough for DS1 on it and DS2 doesn't like lamb anyway

    So, B: cereals
    L: soup and toast
D: LAmb shank, mash and veg - yum

Have a great day everyone. Happy birthday to Miss RonanKfan and ((hugs)) to all who need them.

    Morning :hello:

It's a slightly grey and dull day here and I need to get a couple of loads of laundry done, so it looks like I'll be having the TD on

Haven't got anything done this morning at all :o Didn't get to bed until well after midnight thanks to a couple of fellow oldstylers keeping me chatting on MSN Messenger - you know who you are :naughty:

Will be getting up and sorted out v.shortly if I can tear myself away from Saturday Kitchen! Want to have a nose around some local charity shops if they're open - still in search of that elusive coat I need - and a little later in the afternoon I need to do a quick search of the local supermarkets for reduced meat. I'm time-limited in all of this because I need to leave the house again at 4:30 to go to a choir rehearsal. This one isn't at my usual church, but is a professional engagement paying more than my usual fee :j :j so this evening you should see my savings value in my signature hop up by a few £££££ :j :j

Right, I just heard the postman so off to check out what he's left me. See ya later

    morning all

Smokey that's great news about your friends dad :)

We're off in a minute to the local fete in the park. Thanks to Mum and Dad I ended up with £60 in my pocket yesterday so I can let the kids spend some money completely guilt free. I should be saving it for next week when I know I'm not getting any money from XDH but there is plenty of food in the house so we won't starve :D

I managed to get some of those remote control sockets from Lidl yesterday so I can go round the house zapping after the kids go to sleep and leave all their tellys on :D Should save the electric quite a bit!

This afternoon I have to finish the planting or there won't be many veggies grown this year. I managed to pick up some Swiss Chard and Melon seeds in Lidl for 29p each. I know Swiss Chard is easy but the Melons are going to be a challenge.

Have a good day everyone, it's very warm here but overcast, we're supposed to be getting some sun later.

I fancy getting out of the house tomorrow but I really need to grab DH whilst he is around and get the greenhouse up. We'll see what the day is like tomorrow :)

Edited to add Play.com sent us King Kong even after DH had cancelled the order and they had refunded us the money so a nice free present for someone and DH won a Sonic X DVD in McDonalds Club monthly competition so that's gone away for DS for christmas :D

    Morning all!!

I'm up this morning , have been to work on overtime and am now just starting to waken up after my 3rd coffee

DD2 gathering laundry up for me, and I'm going to try and tidy the kitchen out today. We hopefully set off on our easter hols tomorrow, just an overnight stay but should be a nice break.

Hope you all have a lovely easter and hugs to those who need them :)

  • Hello again :easter_ba

Well DH went fishing at silly hour this morning  and FIL has just come round to take DD away for the day (lovely surprise ;) ) so now I have an entire Saturday to myself :D

Shopping has just been delivered and put away, bed linen is washed and drying (slowly) on the line and I'm just about to iron DH's new shirts (washed them yesterday - you know how crunchy they are when they're brand new).

I'm toying with doing a major clean (it's amazing how when I'm ill nothing get's done  ) or just kicking my feet up and relaxing for the day - decisions decisions

    Bye for now
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
