Happy Easter everyone. Its a beautiful sunny day here.
Bargainrzl - I will remember your Gran in my prayers.
Snowyowl - I am going to face just the same problems with reduced Easter eggs. I think I will try and stay out of the shops for a few days.
PP - welcome back. I love going away- but its always nice to come home.
DD came back from her break with a bad stomach bug, so we will stay in this morning. Seems strange not to be going to church, especially on Easter Sunday.

Morning everyone and Happy Easter :easter_os
PP - glad to hear you had a lovely time - I know what you mean about ciggie smoke - that is one of my pet hates - I am so glad that smoking has been banned in public places now in Scotland (not that I go out much anyway) - got 14 -18 of PB - will send to you this week
Bargain Rzl - hope you grandma is okay - thoughts with you and your family
Skipkoo - enjoy the Gnome Reserve
hugs to everyone
Well there is no chocolate in our house so far  When I went to bed last night I put a chocolate love heart on his pillow (from a bag of favours from one of my work colleagues wedding).
It is a lovely day here today - not got much planned - footie is on today - our team won the league and are being presented with the trophy after the match so that covers part of the afternoon - my dad will probably come down to watch it.
Laminate floors will be swept and washed using Stardops and kitchen will be straightened.
b/l - scrambled eggs and toast
d - steak stir fried with veg and noodles (has been in freezer for a while so I am using everything up over the next 2 weeks)
Have a lovely day all
Take care

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONEMorning all, its a bright morning, not exactly sunny but hopefully getting there.
A completely relaxing day for us, I am cooking a turkey roast tonight for supper, but thats all I intend to do. We have someone coming later to collect some wine making stuff we ave from freecycle, I have had a couple of things from them so decided it was time I gave something back, a plea for wine making stuff is the answer.
My neighbour is out clinging for dear life to a ladder painting his fence, hope he does not fall off, I am past giving the kiss of life LOL........OH in the garage sorting out the aforementioned wine making stuff, me just got up after brekkie in bed, shredded wheat, toast and marmalade and coffee......
No Easter eggs in this house, but yesterday was treated to a box of Terryt's All Gold, half of them went last night, guess the rest might go toninght.....
Good to have you back PP we missd you, glad you ad a good time, even if you do have the horrid nurse coming this morning. BR thoughts are with your Garndma.........
Jimmys Farm, its still going them, the TV series left us a bit up in the air, wondered what happened to them, bring us up to date pppppppplllllllllleeeeeeaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeee................
Right off to sort some washing for the WM tonight, the lid on the laundry basket indicates that I need to take something out rather than put it in.........
Have a great day............................

Happy Easter to everyone!
Bargainrzl - my thoughts are with you and your grandma.
Skipoo - love the sound of the gnome reserve, will be googling it in a mo, we live in Somerset and it sounds like a fun day - mainly I want pics of dh and ds in silly hats!
No choc eggs here today! ds and dd3 aren't good with choc, but they did get a couple of mini choc hearts each, and some pressies! Going to Barrington Court (NT place) leter to do an Easter trails, and they usually give a bar of choc or mini eggs at the end. We have a big village egg hunt tomorrow, so will need to ration all the choc that they end up with then!
This morning I'm hoping to go and collect some pallets we found on freecycle, we are going to use them to make some raised veg beds around the patio, and to enlose an area that we are going to gravel over so that I can put grow bags on it, and also move the animals' hutches onto it too. Just waiting for dh to come back from his run - half marathon is getting ever closer!
Will be roasting the last chicken that was in the freezer later for dinner, think that if the children have a really good big meal with lots of veggies tonight, it may offset some of the choc tomorrow - I hope so anyway, as I hate not letting ds and dd3 eat more than a couple of bits!
Other than that I shall be continuing to plough my way through the washing - I love my new WM! Have just found the recipe for HM washing powder, so will be trying it out when I get some Borax! I can't believe I'm getting excited about washing powder, first it was microfibre cloths and stardrops (the woodwork has never looked so clean in our house!) and now this!
Anyway have a good day all, and don't eat too much choccy!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Skipkoo - enjoy the Gnome reserve!!!!
Funky Fairy - enjoy Jimmys Farm!!!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day, full of easter cheer!!!(and maybe chocolate too!!!:EasterBun )
Well, DS and DD let me have a lie in till 9 this morning, then brought me up a cup of tea and tea cake in bed!!! My sister had got them a pack of 3 galaxy easter eggs to give me, so we all sat in bed, having tea, toast and chocolate!!!! lovely!!!! The Easter Bunny hasnt visited here yet, he always comes mid morning (i know, its almost that now) and this year i found an easter egg hunt pack (reduced) in a card shop, so once im dressed, will sneak around the house leading them to the HUGE pile of eggs they have this year (the parents of the children i look after always buy for my two, which is really kind of them , and actually, one of them bought me an egg this year too, i dont normally get any!!!) at the moment they have 8 each, and i know there are 2 more each coming next week!!!! Bit to much chocolate, me thinks!!!! And they havnt seen their dad yet, more then!!! goodness, prob good that i dont get any really!!!!
Well, must go and put the duck on, we love roast duck here, but only have it on special occasions, and im doing all the trimmings too (sausages in bacon, M & S posh stuffing, yorkies, loads of veg and roasties, yum!)
WM is on, BM will go on this afternoon, but thats all, as i made sure everything else was done yesterday, we will then spend a relaxing afternoon watching telly, i have a nice bottle of wine and the children have more than enough chocolate to keep them happy!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning! Its lovely to have a nice lie in and know that I dont have to go to work tomorrow!
Im feeling quite relaxed this morning, I slept really well and I spent a lot of yesterday shopping on the internet - which I found quite fun. Ive found a lamp that I want for the bedroom, its £38 but its so pretty, so I might buy it for myself as a present. Everytime I buy something frivolous I have to tell myself that I have to do something I dont really want to do, like study!
Ive just had my first tea of the day, the cat is happily muttering to herself in the window basking in the sun, while I contemplate bidding for a sewing machine on ebay. Its a fairly basic model, but I only want to be able to do easy things, like hemming, and making cushions. Which reminds me - Yesterday I bought some of those bolster cushions and now I need to make covers for them - anyone know if its easy or not??
This afternoon I am on my own - boyf is at work and im probably going to do a little cleaning, I need to do the floors and the bathroom. I also need to find the boxes for a few things that need returning to the shop of origin, as they are broken and im not too pleased!
Dinner this evening will be steak and something potato, along with lots of salad and fresh greens. Im really looking forward to it! Tomorrow, im having my hair done in the AM, and then I think we are going to drive to a beach somewhere if its sunny and have a walk. I also need to fit in a stop to a bed selling place as I need to choose a mattress, ive seen a couple online but Im not going to buy one by sight alone! The one I particularly liked was a silentnight one, and it seems as though every seller has a million different named ones which is making it really hard to price shop too! Anyone got any handy hints??
Anyway - im off, I need another tea and I really need to see whether a sewing machine is worth it - im guessing it will cost a lot more to pay someone else to make cushions covers for me - so i think I might have just answered my own question!
