Good morning everyone,
HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY
Well, first of my 4 days off today (hurrah) and my sister is coming down with her family for the day, which we are really looking forward too. DS and DD are upstairs tidying their rooms (well, should be) and im having a quick look on MSE before they get here.
House all tidy, did a lot of cleaning last night, once all the childminding children went, as i dont like doing it while we have visitors.
So, nothing OS happening today, but hopefully will be having a really nice day.
((((((((HUGS))))))))) to everyone today, hope your mum will be ok Scruffy, and everyone has good weekends away.
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
morning, today im going back to peterborough having spent the last 2 weeks in aylesbury, thought my move was on track but seems the buyer of my house is playing silly !!!!!!s and keeps wanting to reduce the price, he has got it as low as we willing to go so if he threatens one more to time to pull out he can go and jump in the river..
Im moving to aylesbury in july weather the house is sold or not so if he doesnt want it will go back on the market and will sell empty if need be.
vicky A:: enjoy your camping lol as its all back to normal next week with your little darlings hee hee
shouldnt have to spend much more time in aylesbury untill the move apart from when i have to go through the appeal processes for secondary schools.. That part is so annoying but hey it will all work out in the end.
right off now to enjoy my good friday as will be driving home later in the evening when all the traffic has died down lol well one can only hope
have a nice day everyoneThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,

Morning!
it is lovely to have a free day off! I went out for a work leaving do last night which was quite fun, if a little depressing because everyone else has got major plans for this year and next and im feeling a little left out! Ive decided that i have to change that however, so im formulating my own plans!
Anyway - im off out - ive got £20 of boots vouchers ive had for two weeks burning a hole in my wallet so i need to spend them! Im thinking some new make up will do the trick!
Hope you all have a lovely day, and those who are going away for the weekend have a lovely time!

Hello everybody
Hope you're all having a wonderful Good Friday. I'm stuck in the office at w*** boo hoo!! However Tuesday next week is a bank holiday in N.Ireland so that makes up for it.
Scruffy, sorry to hear about your mum. She is very fortunate to have neighbours who will actually do something when they think something is amiss. Perhaps you should just put your foot down and insist that your mum comes to stay with you for a while. If she's anything like my mother she's possibly hoping underneath that you will take charge while she's also hoping that she's not turning into a burden. It must be quite a shock for her to feel that her independence is starting erode - and who can blame her for wanting to hang onto it.
ChaMichelle - hope you and your kitties enjoy your holidays.
I'm expecting a parental visit this weekend, so that means I have lots of industrial strength cleaning and cat hair removal to do this evening. One of my kitties is long-haired, and boy does his hair get around! I think I should start letting them outside soon - Dylan is nearly six months old and Ted is around 1 and a half, to two years old. I had a cat killed on the road last year, and it really scares me to think of something happening to these two, but I can see that they really, really want to go outside. I shall have to be brave and maybe let them out on Easter Sunday when it'll be extra quiet.
The big shops will be closed on Sunday (it's the law!) so as Bargain Rzl mentioned before Saturday will be a good day for getting reduced bargains. I'm going to go prepared with lots of cash and hopefully pick up lots of things and fill the freezer.
The best thing to have happened recently occurred last night - horrible little boy and his family disappeared into the sunset with a caravan on tow, so looks like they are away for Easter...YIPPEE!!!!:j :j :j
Well, suppose I should go and do some w*** considering I am in the office!
Bye everyone

Snowyowl - I had a cat killed last year too on the road. He was one that had a very special place in my heart. I now have two -one was his companion. She is very shy and doesn't go near the road. The other is a 5 month old male and he bounds across the road. It is such a hard dilemma. I worry the whole time they are out. I go and inspect the road if they don't come as soon as I call. But both cats love the outdoors and I feel heartless watching them sit at the back door trying to get out.
Must go -said I would stay off mse until jobs done and of course they aren't.0 -
Morning :hello:
Was a bit worried what I'd find on MSE this morning because I tried to log on at midnight last night and the site was down  and I was thinking - is this it for the entire Bank Holiday weekend?
Just a quick one from me this morning. I only woke up a little while ago, after 8 solid hours' sleep (didn't go to bed until 1:30am). Need to go and jump in the shower in a mo, then get dressed and have an early lunch. Need to leave the house around 12:15 because to be on the safe side I ought to be on the 12:31 train (they're running a Sunday train timetable so trains are only half-hourly - 13:01 is cutting it fine so it's a disaster if the 13:01 is late or cancelled) to get to my church across the opposite side of Central London for a choir practice at 2pm and Good Friday Solemn Liturgy at 3. We sing some beautiful music on Good Friday and there are always a couple of buttered hot cross buns to be had after the service. I might hang around for a while after that to help with the annual church spring-clean - Good Friday is the best time for this for practical reasons because the church is as bare as it gets, stripped of all its icons and ornaments so it's easy to get into all the nooks and crannies with a mop and bucket/vinegar on a microfibre cloth, or to attack the various brass crosses with brass polish
It will be quite odd to be at home this evening - every Good Friday evening since I've lived in London has been spent at the Barbican listening to one of the Bach Passions, but for some reason this year nobody's doing one (anywhere in London!) - there are a couple on during the afternoon in other venues, but obviously this clashes with my church service.
Lunch: sausage casserole & rice (meant for last night but didn't get round to it)
Dinner: smoked mackerel, spuds if I remember to buy them, and broccoli.
scruffy - hope your mum is better soon, don't feel bad :grouphug:
PP and VickyA - have a lovely weekend away
What was that I was saying about making this a short post? :rotfl:
Gotta go

hello to everyone, the sun is shining today but its still a cold wind, have grandsons first birthday today so have made some chocolate crispies to take over, think i will probably make thriftladys anzac biscuits too.
scruffy dont feel you have let your mam down, no one knows when these things are going to happen, we older ones on our own get very independent, no bad thing, and dont like to bother our family too much, but when i cleaned for my granda i soon learned to tell him what i was going to do and not ask.
prudent and snowy owl i can sympathise with you about the cats, dds cat was run down and killed and i had to fetch him home. thank goodness mine are okay on the road, i have seen them from the window with baited breath, but they wait for the traffic to quieten then dart across.
hope everyone has a lovely easter0
