    Good Morning all
Hugs to scruffy, try not to feel bad. Hope you have a good time PP.
I'm at a loose end today, I was expecting hubby to be around & he decided to work. Still there is always lots of housework to do!!
Hope everyone has a lovely Easter.

    Morning All,

Scruffy: How awful for you, and your Mum. Could you not convince her to come to you under the guise of an easter break? Do Drs have any idea why she is falling? Remember to look after yourself and rest as well as you can or you wont be able to help your mum much, Hugs.

PP: Enjoy your break, esp from the needle nurse. You deserve it.

Prudent: I know exactly what you mean by needing to remove yourself from computer, in fact I am waiting for Paul Mc Kenna to announce a new hypnotherapy treatment esp for MSE addicts! :D

Skipkoo: Hope your bread tastes lovely, I would love to invest in a breadmaker but I will have to wait a while before I can justify it in the finances!:(

Skystar & Elona: Enjoy your shopping, I daren't go into town as I would spend on things I didnt know i "needed".

Michelle: Hope cats settle ok at cattery..

VickyA: Bet you'll have so much fun camping you wont even miss your family.

Well I am sooooo excited this am. Myself and a friend are taking the two little Ron's to an open farm for a day out. This is such a treat for us as we have been watching the money, and myself and DH work opposite each other for childcare reasons. I have a LARGE picnic packed, OS of course, I went to tescos last night for picnic food and in the end I couldn't justify the prices so i have done it all myself (Where is the smug smilie when you need one?) Will taste better too!
Only shame is it is raining but it's Ok cos we have wellies and umbrella's, will not let anything dampen spirits today....
So I really should go and finish organising bags etc and try to leave the house reasonable for any estate agent viewings, just in case!

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning, all

Today seems to be starting out quite well .. the toilet is cleaned (always a good starting point!), porridge has been made and consumed, I've a coffee in my hand and DS is splooshing happily in the bath. I've just converted some leftover cream which DH used for a curry, into a nice pat of butter which is cooling in the fridge. :D I can see it coming in very handy around elevenses when the BM finishes!

Next job is to get today's culinary experiment - a duck - into the slow cooker, accompanied by several oranges, some rosemary and some crossed fingers.

Can't do much in the way of housework at the moment, as "Kevin-the-computer" is still spread all over the dining table and the effects of his arrival have thrown the house into disarray. DH has "tidied" his computer table, which basically means moving everything that was on it, onto other surfaces nearby. DS's computer has, with amazing timing, decided to die a death and so is taking up space in the utility room. There's a broken chest of drawers waiting to go to the dump in the dining room, plus several items which are destined for Ebay, sitting in various corners. I guess this is a case of having to break a few eggs, in order to make an omelette. Hopefully we can go to the dump on the way to collect the box of computer cables from a Freecycler, today.

Other than that, I really MUST tackle DS's ironing, or it will be back to school day and I'll be all unprepared. Definitely not in the spirit of OS!

    Have a good, Good Friday!

B : Porridge with linseed and honey
    L : Sandwiches
D : Duck, roast potatoes, veg. Fruit cobbler for pud.
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

Morning all. It's so nice to have an extra day off!

I have been reading downstairs for the past hour, OH is still lazing in bed. Have just put a load on in the WM, and if its still fairly sunny when its done I will hang it outside on the line, otherwise will hang on the airer.

Plan is to hoover the house today, and to mop kitchen and bathroom floors. I want to prune a plant on the front garden as its getting a bit unruly. Also, both me and OH need to clear out our wardrobes as they're too full and have a charity bag waiting to be filled.

As I have so little time off I'm determined to do something nice today like go for a walk by the coast. We have a season ticket for the zoo too so might go there even.

    Have a lovely day all,
    Sarahx

PP, Mr PP and Mini PP - enjoy your well deserved break

Scruffy - sorry to hear about you mum - I think you should persuade her gently to come to you for a while - my dad stayed with us for a month about 4 yrs ago - he fell and had severed tendons in his hand so couldnt do much for himself - he enjoyed the pampering (esp when OH made him sandwiches and parma ham  ) but was glad to go back home when he was better (he only stays 5 mins from me and my sis)

Johanne - sorry to hear about your ex - glad to hear you are being positive

Cha97michelle - enjoy your weekend away - hope the cats enjoy their break also

    Hugs to everyone else

Got my hair cut yesterday - I usually get mine done every 4 - 6 weeks - this was 10 weeks and boy did I feel like a shaggy dog - after I got it cut I noticed all the grey hair  got a dye from Semi-chem for £1.99 also got 48 Glist DW tablets for £2.99 and a bottle of Stardrops. Went to Mackays and got a top reduced from £28 to £9 - have mass and lunch next as it the anniversary of OH's mum and her birthday so we always have lunch and attendend mass together. Also bought a microfibre cloth from Tesco - so will combine this with me stardrops and see how I get on.

OH still in bed at the moment - we will be going out today for some shopping and a look round some shops - will need to check with friends to see if they are coming for dinner tonight or tomorrow

    Have a lovely day all

    Take care

    Hi everyone

It's a grey and drizzley day at the moment but hopefully it will improve (it is April, after all).

A very lazy day for me today as OH is out with his family. I shall be languishing at home as I inconveniently developed a stinker of a cold.

Just been watching a couple of wrens in the garden. I think they have a nest somewhere but I haven't found it yet.

Hope you all have a pleasant Good Friday whatever you have planned - not too many Hot Cross Buns though!
