You may or may not want to know more about this but Alzheimers has more then one form. There is a type of alzheimers which occours through the death of brain cells due to strokes, this is called vascular dementia. You can find more details of it here : http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/Facts_about_dementia/What_is_dementia/info_vascular.htm

Please forgive me if you do not want this information.

Washing is on the line - dishwasher emptied and pizza dough is rising for two home made pizzas later today.

DH and I are having cauliflower cheese instead.

Two of my daughters are each having a friend around tonight so am making two pizzas and a dozen chocolate muffins with crisps etc if they want to snack.

Going into York later to pick up a second pair of glasses and pop into the pound shop for a few things.

Congratulations on the job for your DH streesed out mum.

PP - take care of yourself and try to have a good day.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Yes - hair cut season is in - having dropped DS2 at pre-school, i have now acquaintedmyself with the new salon which opened yesterday around the corner from me -although it is the hairdresser from the 'old' salon I used to go to. I am now sprting a lovely sexy tousled look :D Went in intending to come out with on sheer, sleek look, but that tousled look was so nice, I decided to keep it ;) I should be expecting an invite to his champagne evening in the next couple of weeks too :D

Pre-school and the secondary schools break up at lunch time today so have DS2 and next door's 13 yo here from lunch time. Will let them play together - 13 yo is great with my 3 yo) and I shall attempt to find the bottom of DS2's room. Will also go and talk to the WM at least twice and may even invite Kirby vacuum for a quickstep around the lower floors. If I'm being a minx, I'll do a foxtrot with the attachments up the stairs too :rotfl:

Need to do some online banking this afternoon - have a store card to pay off and close (got my 10% discount :D) Will file some paperwork too - hateful job!

Anyway, (((hugs))) to PP and any others under the weather. I haven't read the end of yesterday's thread, but I'm assuming Mr SOMO1 has a new job? - fab :j

Ok - gotta go and see DS2's easter bonnet parade in a minute - it's amazing what you can do with some yellow crepe paper, a shredder, fluffy chicks and of course, choccy eggs which I'm sure won't make it home :D

Have a good day one and all

Thank you know who its Friday. I've been really tired all this week and I am longing for a nice lie in. Chances are...now that I can have a lie in tomorrow....I'll get up and won't need it.

Plans for today ......erm...... no idea, don't care. Over the weekend its 'roast chicken' time and will need to pick up a little box for the freezer in which I can store roast chicken bits. May also be tempted to go through that puff pastry thread (some nice ideas in there). Also need to make some more muffins for the freezer as OH keeps eating them.

Tonights its going to be gammon steaks with something. unless I decide to be daring, and chop it up into strips to go with a sauce with some pasta. Suppose it depends on how energetic I feel.

OH plans to do a car boot on Sunday, so he'll be sorting out his wares...meaning I get lots more 'me time'.

    Morning :hello:

    Happy birthday Michelle!!! :bdaycake:

Lovely to see you back Kiwi :j :j and glad you've found a house at last, but I'm so disappointed you won't be able to come to the meet :(

And CONGRATS to Mr SOMO1 on the new job! That must be an enormous weight off both of your minds.

AussieLass - I love the new avatar :D

Am soooooo pleased it's Friday - although this week's raced by, for some reason today is dragging horribly. I just looked at the clock on my PC expecting it to be at least an hour later than it is!

Breakfast - boiled egg on toast
Lunch - well it's a choice between HM fish pie & peas, or Tesco ready-meal cottage pie. I brought both with me to work this morning as I'm going out to a concert tonight and didn't want to succumb to the temptation of blowing £5 on a Wetherspoons meal beforehand!.
Dinner - the other one :D (wish I'd brought one potato-based pie and one pasta dish now, rather than all that stodgy spud).

I also have a cherry muffin to eat if I get hungry later which was FREE :D They were giving them out at work to celebrate something-or-other and although I wasn't hungry at the time, I had to get in there before all the non-chocolate ones disappeared (what with having given up choc for Lent).

Weighing up the options of buying a couple of those Tesco's chooks this weekend (just because the offer ends on Sunday) but I don't really have space in the freezer even for one, I usually seem to be able to get meat around that price anyway (yellow-stickered) and as others have said, the price may plummet on chicken anyway cos of bird flu. Penny-Pincher!! - Welling Tesco was fully stocked with them yesterday, and this was at 7pm in a crappy Tesco which usually runs out of everything halfway through the afternoon! Most of them had use by dates of 8th/9th April and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're reduced to a few pp over the weekend.

Besides, if I spend £2.99 on chickens I will leave myself with the princely sum of 14p in this week's grocery budget to buy anything else I need between now and Sunday. It's my own fault because I just put £1 on the office sweepstake for the Grand National :o

Anyway, I have as usual been waffling on for far too long. Hi to everybody else and I might try to catch up again later :D

    Rzl xx
