    Hi all
I'm off to work in 10 mins, but at least I finish at 12 & I'm only working Monday next week, so I finally get a few days off. Just going to fill the washing line & do the washing up before I go.
I met a friend for lunch yesterday, coffee & bagels, yum. I bought some hair straightners from Boots for £12.99 & wow, what a difference, my hair looks nearly as good this morning as it did the day I had it cut & I did my roots last night. I look so glam today, I could pass for a 60 year old, not bad considering I'm 54!!!
I manged to get hubby a John Clancy book he wanted so he was happy too. I managed to make 2 loaves yesterday so that will last a while.
Hope everyone has a good day.

    Breakfast Cereal
    Lunch HM bread & Marmite
    Tonight Pork chops I think

    Morning All! :j
hope everyone feels better as the day wears on, or even better if you are already feelin' good!
Well done on the weight loss Apple Mint! Wish I had any kind of willpower!
Nice sunny day here, but can't hang out me duvet covers cos already TMd them yesterday. What a waste!
Have to work 1-5 today, but really need to iron as hubby had no shirt for work this morning, but I just hate doing it.
i know what everybody means about having the kids at home during the hols, at least you don';t have to rush about, and I like to stay in my P.J.s to do the cleaning and tidying, so next week will be great! :T
Well done on hubby's new job,SOMO1! I am sure that is a huge weight off your mind. My hubby was made redundant 6 years ago, just 3 weeks after we got married.(very kind of them!!) but got a job quite quickly, thank goodness. It was still a worrying time though. it would be worse if it happened now as I don't work full time anymore.

    Brekkie: crumpets and jam
    Lunch: cheese on toast
Tea: haven't got that far yet! Cheerio!!! :j
Sept. grocery challenge = £500 (221.60 so far!;))

    Morning all

PP - Hope DD's party goes well tomorrow.
    Michelle - HAPPY BIRTHDAY :j
WD MRSOMO1 - Great news on the job :T

It's dull and overcast here this morning and I'm suffering with caffine withdrawl - only had one cup of tea yesterday and it wasn't until I went to bed that I realised why I had a dull thumpy headache.....ah well - I did manage 8 pints of water (I'm trying to be very good)

Just sitting here with some toast - yesterdays loaf was a bit heavy for some reason, I wonder if they have days like that at the big bakerys?

Not working today as one of the little ones is still poorly, so another unexpected day off with DD's - we're either going ice skating or to an indoor play area, judging by the weather I think we'll be heading indoors - the ice rinks outside and I don't fancy getting soaked.

WM will go on in a bit - put lots of DD's trousers in a soda crystal soak over night to try and break down some of the grass stains, hopefully they'll shift today. Got my free sample of soapnuts to try as well.

    Brekkie - Toast and Cereal
    Lunch - Pasta salad
Dinner - HM tomato soup with a cheese and tomato bread to dunk.

Hope everyone has a lovely day and great weekend.

Morning all,The sun is shining and the sky is trying to be a bit blue .I am hoping it warms up a bit so I can have a go in the garden with my bargain £2.00 strimmer that I bought at the auction last Sunday.
Here's the scene,a long thin kentish garden with a wobbly old woman walking down it with a strimmer in one hand, and her trusty walking stick in the other. One way or another I shall get through the jungle that is my garden.
I have already got my SC on with a big pot of veggie soup so by lunchtime hopefully I shall have some to warm me up if the weather turns cold. It looks nice out at the moment but it's the wind that is so cold. if I can't get the garden done then I am off to the lesuire club for a swim and a steam.
I have my hairdresser coming late afternoon to give my barnet a trim as it's looking a bit like my lawn at the moment. Have a good day folks

    HELLO OS FAMILY:wave:
Love and hugs to all of you in need. I haven't been able to log into MSE for about a month so know nothing about anyone. I hope you are all well, and much love to those of you who arent.

Things for us have changed a little. The house we were moving to on the 10th of march fell through so we are STILL living with sil and family, 5 of us in one bedroom makes for fun I can tell ya! We have had an offer accepted on a 3 bed semi in BUCKS which is in a lovely village but the house is TINY. It does have a 150ft garden though, so you can guess where we will all be living come the summer.

We should be moving in either the last week in april or the first week in may which means I now cant make the OS meet in blackpool. GUTTED :(

I am going to have a very quick trawl through the board now as am at the library and only have 30 mins left online.

Love to all regulars and HELLO to all newbies I have missed in the last month.

    Allison.

    Morning all......

Congrats SOMO1 and Michelle, glad to hear the job news SOMO! and happy birthday M!!!

((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to anyone who is under the weather.

Its a bright sunny morning but OH reports its still freezing out here, the garden is looking better for having thad the grass cut and the edges trimmed last week, little splashes of yellow and blue and some pink, I bought 6 Primulas from B & Q reduced to half price there were lots of different plants avaiable all reduced, but as I amon a stict budget for the garden this year I resisted tempation.

I am off to see a friend this afternoon, cauli and brocc gratin prepared for supper tonight, will have it with jacket spuds and baked tommys' so all cokked in the oven at once........

I was not a happy bunny yesterday, went on line to check my Tesco CC account, I pay the bill in full each month and sent the cash via bacs last Thursday, to my horror it was not showing on the account. When I rang Tesco they told me they had a large number of calls to say that cash sent on March 30th was not showing and there appreared to be a problem with the bacs system which they were looking at....... I was concerned did not want a £25 late payment fee slapped on the account...... I was told that no late payment fees would be charged....... but I am not holding my breath, until the statement comes in I will not be able to tell, this morning the account balance has gone down........ I have always used the card to add my points but am now seriously thinking of going back to paying cash for everything.... this is the second month it happened last month as well.......

Quick dash round with the Dyson this morning and flick with the micro cloth so all is tidy for the weekend.... canot believe next week is Easter, will soon be midsummer aaaaaaaaggggggggggghhhhhhhhh............. we are off to Cornwall in a couple of weeks for a break......... looking forward to that, rest and relaxation, do not plan to do much running around, we want to visit Tavistock which is just over the border in Devon form where we are staying, will be calling to see a sewing friend on the way back. She had asked us to stay overnight but OH has to be back for a bowls match on the Saturday.. still we will be going south again in September hopefully so may be able to stay then....

Off now to do my jobs, hope you are feeling a little better now PP.........

Thinking of sending OH to Tescos to buy up 4 fresh chickens on BOGOF as I feel with this break out of bird flu in Scotland that chicken prices will rise all over the UK quickly.

You think the prices of chicken will go up?
I had originally thought the price would go down? As if people, mass media hysteria style, stop buying chicken then demand will decrease and therefore prices lower ????

    Would anyone like to comment?
