Afternoon..... I typed a long message and its just disappeared.... cannot be bothered to type it all again.... Queenie, I hope you managed to get an appointment..... Math and family I am thinking about you.......
We went into town this morning on the bus for FREE!!!!! the first time, it used to cost £4 for us both to go, which was at least 2 dinners, so we rarely went in unless we had to...I bought all my fruit on the market for less than half I would have paid in Tesco and all good quaility......we also went into the Age Concern Centre, had a nice cup of hot choccy for 70p, the meals were quite well priced, so might think about an occasional day in town with lunch out.
Its dry but the wind is vicious.........supper tonight fish mustard mash and peas, banana and icecream for dessert I think......

Hi everyone
Had a fab couple of days off and now got all your posts to catch up on.
Was very strict with myself and cleaned my kitchen cupboards first but was fairly disappointed because all I found was some out of date cranberry sauce and some walnuts which got thrown in the banana nut loaf along with the overripe bananas. I could always rely on the fact that I'd either have triple of some ingredients or loads of old things but it seems you Old Stylers have taught me well!
That was my only work other than the day to day chores and so I chilled with the small person. We've been to a local nature reserve and over to a friend's for lunch.
Back to work for the rest of the week and then a couple more days off next week as well

Hi Yall, I rolled over this morning and comforted myself that I hadn't too much to do today. I'm now running behind and rushing about like a nutter. LOL I blame my Minister who called round at 10am for a quick meeting about some church matters which ran on longer than expected.
Paid2clicks are done, washing and ironing sorted.
Dinner for tonight sorted. Shop bought pizza and oven chips - phew! that was taxing:D We are having a junky family help yourself tea tonight because it will be the last family meal together until Easter.
Mrs MATH claims to have forgotted how to do anything for herself since our last great parting in August so I'm busy popping yellow postits all over the place. While more romantic households may pop notes around blathering on about how "two hearts beat as one" and how "each moment apart is a lifetime of longing" mine are much more practicle. Written in spiky red capitals they are along these lines.WARNING

can I just ask, what are paid2clicks?0 -

You get paid a few pence for visiting various websites and shopping comparison sites. There are lots of paid2click sites which pay you to do this and you can join ALL of them. I earn about £30-40 a week from a bit of surfing around. You'll never retire on the proceeds but it's flexible, you can do it in ya jimjams without going out in the cold and it doesn't cost you anything to join. If you want the links to the sites I use plus my ideas about what works and what doesn't PM me.Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -

Hiya PP - Good afternoon - not sure why it's so quiet here this afternoon
Still at w**k but considering that my boss called me for a meeting the moment I'd finished my lunch, thus depriving me of my planned walk in the beautiful sunshine, I thought I'd come back on MSE and am not feeling guilty at all
Mind you, I did spend a reasonable chunk of my company's time this morning on the phone arguing with the Halifax. They are in the process of transferring in my ISA from the last two years. However because they (or more probably First Direct, where they're retrieving it from) have been somewhat slow on the uptake, the empty account they'd set up to transfer it into has "expired" and turned itself into a Halifax Liquid Gold account! I've been assured that it'll be reinstated as an ISA the moment the funds get there - but the point is, I was poised and waiting with my debit card to fill up THIS year's ISA (it being April 6th). And now, as Martin would say, I can't do anything with my cake until they give me my wrapper back!
The other good news is that the reason I keep getting called into meetings with my boss is that she's trying to work out what to delegate to whom, as she's finally realised that there won't be a job for her here after July(I know I was promised by the powers that be that she'd be gone by March, but things are looking a bit more definite now
)
Plus, there's only one more day before the weekend :j :j followed by two four-day weeks :j :j (though in all fairness Easter isn't exactly a break for me, with all the extra church services to sing!). Then the following week I have a half day on the Wednesday to go and listen to a singing competition I go to every year, and the week after that it's a bank holiday and I have the rest of the week off, with the Old Style meet at the end of it! Wow, that means I don't have another full five-day working week until the second week in May! :j :j :j (And I've got some leave to use up too, so I should be able to fit in another week off in June. I haven't wanted to book it as a whole week yet, as I usually keep a couple of days in reserve in case (1) I get asked to sing at a funeral, which occasionally happens and is paid work; (2) I get a job interview; or (3) if anything happens to my grandma, or there's a household emergency.
And guess what, I haven't spent any money today! (That's unless you count transferring £97.76 to my housemate for council tax and bills - but that's planned for.) Despite the usual temptations of bacon sandwiches and Diet Coke, I have behaved myself good and properI will however need some groceries on the way home, so my next task is to write a shopping list. As there is only £5 left in my budget, I'm trying to work out what I might be able to get for £2.01 (including a bag of frozen peas) so I might then be able to take advantage of the Tesco BOGOF chickens offer before it ends on Sunday!
Might be back this eveningOperation Get in Shape

You are definately an insiration to me!! I am p** when it comes to budgeting for food/shopping (doesnt help that the nearest supermarket is Sainsbury's!!).. I suppose the trick is writing a list & sticking to it, and "mixing & matching" foods!!
I need groceries tonight too so am going to be sensible & not buy things for the sake of it.
Enjoy your evening Bargain Rzl (p.s what does the Rzl part stand for? I keep thinking Rizzler, sorry, not sure why!! hehe!!)0 -
Not too bad a day. Spent a whole 20p on car parking.
Took my mum shopping. We split up as ticket for the car parking was due to run out and went to buy something she wanted as there was a queue in sainsburys.
Well I lost my mummy. I spent over 20 mins looking for her. She had no watch on. I was waiting one side of somerfields at the front door and she was waiting at the back door in the car park.
I was fuming as I was getting hotter and hotter and more annoyed. Had to move the car as my ticket had run out. On my last run across the market place I bumped in to her. Hurray.
I thought I was to big and old to go to the police station and say I had lost my mummy :rotfl:
And I had visions of going home to my parents house and telling my dad I had lost my mum :rotfl:
But according to her he has dropped her off in town and then forgotten her and driven home. The got home and had to go back for her. So I don't feel so bad about it now.
Hope everyone is ok please take care.
Yours
CalleyHope for everything and expect nothing!!!
