    Morning everyone:hello:

I haven't been posting much the last couple of weeks due to illness but have been lurking. Starting to feel a bit better now so time to get back on the OS wagon. I seem to be getting back on the wagon a hell of a lot lately:doh::o

Spud is asleep for a few minutes, hubby has put the BM on, I have tatties & eggs on to boil for a salad for lunch and am off for a nose around the posh charity shops in Esher this afternoon. Hubby finally got his new car on Tuesday so for a little while I have use of the (very) old escort so intend to visit some local areas I wouldn't normally get to very often, the plan is one a week until it conks out;) But I had the find of the year in a very tatty local charity shop yesterday, a baby walker for £2 & 'cos Spud smiled a thet nice lady behind the till so much she let me have it for £1 _party_ Spud loves it:dance:

Hubby is off to work soon and en-route is going to put my standard £1 bet on the grand national (it's the only time of the year I gamble) so keep your fingers crossed for either Innox or Inca trail to be placed:wink:

    So, todays menu was/is
B : Tescos equlivant of Weetabix
L : Hard boiled egg salad with new tatties
    D : Pizza & leftover garlic bread

    Have a good day everyone:wave:

PP - also don't forget that next Saturday might be a good time to go on a yellow-sticker hunt, as Tesco will be closed on Easter Day and should therefore have more reductions than usual :)

Edited to say: Lillibet, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your horses if you keep yours crossed for mine! All my hope (and prospect of some cash!) is placed on Numbersixvalverde (stupid name but it's on at 10-1 so in with a chance!)

    Morning all,

Welcome back Kiwi it is great to hear from you, sorry things are going a little wonky but buying houses is a total nightmare! I am sure you will end up in the best place for you even if it is a bit smaller.

Happy birthday Michelle :bdaycake: Have a lovely day!!

PP keep smileing sweety, its tough but your are tougher!

Hugs to everyone else who is feeling down or poorly (((((Hugs))))))

Pooky Can you let me know what the ice rink is like? We were going to go down as if is free but we heard that is had not frozen?? If you do go can you give me yr verdict?

Well its all sunny here again, though I have no washing to hang out as I did it yesterday!

My to do list involves ironing a small pile of clothes, makeing the bean burgers I was supposed to make last night (the beans took ages to cook and it got far too late as we had to visit a family member for theri b day so were having them tonight) and doing some maths course work. I am hopeing for a less physical day as I over did it with the cleaning yesterday, OH was at work and I thought that lifting a few heavy things would be fine, my back and neck disagree! Our room is lovely and clean though!!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, after all it is Friday!!!!!!

hello all, its snowing here again, so no chance of getting the washing out today, thank goodness for central heating, makes you wonder how people managed to dry their clothes long ago during the winter. have just made a batch of pancakes and took some over for the grandchildren, i remember when i was first married i took some of my pancakes over to my grandparents, we just knocked on the door and walked in, a few days later i went over again to find my pancakes burning brightly on the back of the fire, granny, bless her, said they werent mine, but they were..lol does anyone remember their first attempts at cooking? what about the bird flu? dd says she is going to get a collar for the cat with a bell on, might do that with mine too although never liked the idea of a collar have them chipped instead, anyway love to all and have a nice weekend

    Hiya

Well, after all the unexpected and huge bills that have come along this week - I've had a bit of luck :D Having bought 3 strips of raffle tickets at the pre-school 'do' (£3) I actually won something - and NOT the gift I gave to the raffle :rotfl: I am now the proud owner of a bottle of Italian red wine and a largish Smarties Easter Egg - which is mine :D I'm sure the plonk won't last long but I shall try and resist the egg until easter :)

Ok - those 'jobs' are a-calling. Wonder if ear-plugs will work? :rotfl:
  • Afternoon all,

Not normally a poster but have today off.

Been and done the weeks shop, 2 loads of washing done and out on the line. Looking a bit grey at the mo so keeping a watchful eye on it.
Need to plant all my seeds today and dig over my patch.

DD10 is off to a sleep over tonight so DH and me have a quiet night in with a DVD.

    Breakfast - Mini Shredded Wheat
    Lunch - TBA
Dinner - Salmon Fillets with a parsley sauce and roasted vegetables.

She has gone to bed, big day at work. I was pondering on cereal when I stumbled across them. I've had 4 so far. Goodnight everybody.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
