  • A very good morning to one and all

Hello from a cloudy Nottingham city centre.

Not much happening with me today. Sitting at w*** gazing out of the window which overlooks the station watching the day go bye.

Last night OH and I went for a drive in our summer car (OH bought an old golf cabriolet last year - had been saving for ages for it - it's great fun!) and called to get some ingredients for tea (we had most of them but just needed some extras) - Old Delhi style chicken curry - a recipie from the UK TV food website.

By the time we got home and i'd cooked it and sat down it was 21:15  it was very nice though!

Lettuces have started sprouting in the greenhouse and all my herbs too - always a great feeling to see things starting to grow!

    Breakfast - MArmite on toast
Lunch - 2 slices of ham and sweet n spicy tabasco and 2 of roast beef and sweet n spicy tabasco both on brown and a packet of skips
Tea - meatballs i think, unless anyone feels like tempting me with a recipe that I can do with pork mince?

Lot's of things to get done here at w*** today so better start as I mean to go on

Take care y'all and have a good one!
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

    Hello everyone

Sorry, haven't read any posts yet. Yesterday I was very ill & today can only stay upright for short periods at a time, so am making the most of one to say hello, then will go lie down again. Will see how you all are on my next prowl round!

    have a good day

Awwwww Chipps, sorry you're not well! I've been feeling pretty dodgy myself in the last hour or so - got a mildly upset stomach and when I caught sight of myself in the mirror I was white as a sheet! (well, even more so than usual!) Aaaargh, I do hope I'm not coming down with a nasty bug just as I'm about to have a week's leave...

Just sitting quietly getting on with my work and hoping it goes away!

Morning all, back to work for me today.

Another night, another nocturnal visitor (dd), not really trying to sort this one out this week, I think she has enough on her plate with her daddy being away and p.t'g too :)

She's gone to nursery, wonder how she'll get on today. I'm fretting more today than I think any other day she's gone. Hmmmm ... my baby!

OS-wise: her bed is stripped and in the w/m, going on line later if the clouds don't get any greyer.

And after work I am determined to pull out the contents of the airing cupboard, it's driving me nuts! I used to have it all neatly separated on shelves, and when DH did some plumbing he ripped out the shelves and whilst I put it away neatly, he's been stuffing things in there and I can't take it anymore!!! So, whilst he's away it is going to be sorted ... and a big notice firmly planted on it!!!!

    Rhubarb and apple crumble later

Might make spag bol for tea.

    B - Cereal
S - Egg custard we didn't eat yesterday
    L - Beef salad sarnie
    D - Spag Bol / Crumble
    GC - March 2024 -

VickyA - sorry to hear your grandpa's had another setback. But from what you've said, it sounds like he might be on the mend now (???)

Yes, fingers crossed that he's on the mend. He's quite a fighter! If he was my gran (with memory loss) then she'd have given up ages ago.

Rzl - how was your Toni & Guy Academy hair cut - or is that next Wednesday?!

    Morning everyone!
PP - I can't believe the bargains you got!

Chipps - Hope you feel better soon.

We are staying in again today as the car is broke so OH will be fixing it tonight hopefully as I want to go to the local asian spice shop to get some fresh spices to make a basic curry sauce.

We have only just moved in here so we are going round rooms redoecorating/carpetting and its our bedroom next so going to gut it and prepare the walls !

    Breakfast - cereal
    Lunch - Sandwiches
Evening Meal - Sausage casserole with cherry tomatoes and basil with fresh veg and potatoes for OH

Toni & Guy Academy cut is next Wednesday :)

I did go there once before but that was years ago, and was not on the same site. Hopefully my £5 haircut will be brilliant value for money, rather than costing me another £50 to get my local salon to sort it out  :rotfl:
