Morning all
Not w**king until Wednesday now - :j :j
Been up since 6ish - got loads done - just about to head in the garden to cut the grass and have a general tidy up - will get some seeds started too, been meaning to for weeks but actually have the time, inclination and energy to do it today.
Brekkie - Toasted HM rolls
Lunch - Cheese and onion savoury muffins (delia's reciepe - adapted)
Dinner - Bolognaise style pasta bake.
Had my gas and electric bill in yesterday - we pay by DD and it normally pans out over the year...this is the first winter bill we've had with me working from home, obviously with the little ones here I need to keep it at a reasonable temperature but I do ensure everyones in layer and slippers etc.....but the gas for this quarter was £208!!!!!!! .....Will have to look at ways to get that down next year.
Anyway - hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Just a quick 5 mins before the children come into school for the day. I've been told that they're going to observe me teaching a lesson next Tuesday morning. Problem is that my class will be doing revision for SATS (ie a practice test), so they can come to observe me, but all I'll be doing is baby sitting whilst they read and write! Hmmm. Well thought out the week before SATS.
They're also "signing off" my first term of teaching today. It was supposed to be done at the end of last term................ but they're just so organised that it hasn't happened yet. I didn't even realise that it was supposed to happen. Whoops
My grandpa has got his pneumonia back and apparently he's now got an oxygen mask. When my parents went to see him yesterday, his "little" (89 year old) sister was there. Enough to make anyone illShe makes my grandpa look quiet. When I spoke to my dad last night, he said that my mum (grandpa is her dad) was quite upset. No sh**! Then I spoke to my mum and he seems a little better.
We're going up there this weekend to sort out wedding invitations, so when we pop in to see Grandpa I might take his invitation with us. He's GOT to get better for my wedding.
Better go for now. Thought I'd better pop on and say hi.

Hi everyone
Not posted for weeks, as we have been having quite a tough time and completely fallen off the OS's wagon. The highlight of bad time is DH having an appendicites which meant him spending Easter weekend in hospital and me running around like a nutter trying to see him and look after a 16 month old that still refuses to walk on all but the most random occasions. Never mind hes home now and driving me mad as obviously still in some pain and not able to do anything around the house. To make it worse I've just checked my bank ac and work are supposed to have payed me for an extra 5 days and it looks like they've actually paid me for 5 days less I am not best pleased. Moan over I know that I have it easy compared to some.
Today I intend to get it sorted as we need some food as we've eaten everything in the freezer and also the back garden needs the grass cutting so I can use the washing line.
Breakie: Tea and toast
Lunch: Ham sandwich
Tea: God know at this point
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Good morning everyone,
Havnt read the threads yet, so hope everyone is ok, (((((HUGS))))) to all who needs, or just wants one!!!!
Well its DDs 8th birthday today, and so far she has had a lovely time, and has even taken her new 'pixel chick' to school with her. Prob the one day she wants to go to school, as she will have lots of fuss made of her today!!!!
I only forgot one thing, and that was a nice balloon (i get her one every year) so i have ordered a lovely one with a cuddly dog inside, and we are off to collect it in a minute (hense the fact i havnt read the thread today!!!!) so should be a lovely surprise for her when she gets back from school. I know it doesnt sound very OS but its something i like to do every year, and she hasnt had much for her birthday this year because of our holiday, so i think i can be forgiven!!!!
Well, better go and collect this balloon, want to be back for 11 so we can watch Dora!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
hello
shez - the champagne late last night sounded very romantic. I hope you had a lovely evening celebrating.
Glad - get better soon. Don't think wine is ok for brekkie, but what about a paracetemol cocktail instead
hiya to everyone else. had a lovely evening last night - was taken on a 'date' by a very hunky guy. Went to a lovely bar and Spent most of the evening drdinking G&T so now i am paying the price - ouch!
Anyway, have to crack on with the revision - can't believe i have so much to get through before saturday morning.
not thought about meals yet, but brekkie was toast and camomile tea. Lunch and dinner may have to involve a rummage in the freezer and the storecupboard i think.

Morning all!

Morning everybody :hello:
I had a very odd and complicated dream last night about rehearsing for an opera production at the Royal Academy of Music, where they also happened to make cakes in the shape of parts of can-can dancers bodies:rotfl:
As my boss is not in today (or at least she's not supposed to be - she did say she "might pop in later" - has she never heard of having a day off?) I am being naughty and having a good old waffle on OS this morning. I will of course be making extremely productive use of the time while the site's down this afternoon, to compensate
Seriously, I do have quite a lot to do, and as I'm off next week it has to get done today and tomorrow.
Breakfast - bacon roll and coffee
Lunch - fish pie & peas (final portion from last weekend)
Dinner - lamb pilaff as per the recipe I posted on here the other day (with portion left over for tomorrow's lunch)
PP - were those bargains from the usual Sainsburys, or from the one on the way back from Greenwich with the funky grass roof? If they were from the usual place, then that would explain why when I went in at 9:55pm all they had left in the reduced section was one single solitary tub of creme fraiche and a (not even very reduced) tiny bottle of Innocent apple juice
joannasmum - Hope your DH is feeling better now. I remember when my dad had appendicitis - not nice.
VickyA - sorry to hear your grandpa's had another setback. But from what you've said, it sounds like he might be on the mend now (???)
Need to pay off my Natwest card in full later (about £1,400) - this is a stooze, not a debt, but the 0% period expires in a couple of weeks and I am gradually giving up stoozing (as and when things expire) because I don't want loads of fake debt showing on my credit report when I come to apply for a mortgage next spring. (This isn't included in my savings total so you won't see the amount going down!) I was never seriously into stoozing anyway - not like these people with tens of thousands stashed away!
Am running shortish on cash this week, but that's only because for the second time this month I've given myself weekly grocery/pocket money of £30 instead of the usual £50 (in the knowledge that I don't have many plans this week and therefore really have no reason to spend more). If I treat myself to another newspaper, coffee & bacon roll tomorrow a.m. (to celebrate it being the last day of work before my week off!) that leaves me with £1.20 for the Saturday paper (went up last week - again) £1.29 for my Sunday morning latte, £2.20 for a birthday card for sis (I saw a nice one for this price at Clinton Cards on the Strand - must go back for it, or preferably find the same one in the branch that's nearer my office!) and £3.05 for groceries
which will be fine cos all I need for the rest of this week is a pot of Greek yoghurt and some fresh veg.
Assuming I stick to the budget, I'll have £100 in the Bargain Rzl Wine Fund and will be able to place an order for 2 cases to replenish my very bare wine rack!
Right, have to get some work done now - hugs to anybody I've missed out.
