    Morning all

((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) to those who need them, all the best to those who have special events today!!!!!!

Had a nice afternoon yesterday, dropped oh and his friends at the bowls club and went over to my friends, had a coffee and a good gossip then looked at the changes she has made to accomodate a new grandchild visiting.........and round her lovely garden (came home with a BIG bunch if daffs) decided it was the right time to re-commission the swimming pool before the algae decided it was the right temperture in the water to start growing..... so a fair amount of scrabbling around on the floor to find the bits to sort out and refill the filter and pump...... switch on, and away it went first time.......so we repaired to the house for tea and cake , her daughter came in just as I was about to leave, so another few minutes catching up with her. Back to the bows club, play was still in progress, so I sat in the last rays of the sun whilst they finsihed playing and had their tea and we were off home again.

Tired after all that fresh country air, fell asleep reading.... OH tells me he had to get out of bed and put off my light ........oh well......... makes up for the number of times he wakes me snoring I suppose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing planned for today, just had a shower and cleaned the bathroom, one less job to do tomorrow, just the floor to do. Its a bit dull and overcast, OH wants to get to the allotement before we go away Friday....

Pork chops for supper tonight with all the trimmings.. rhubarb and raspberry crumble for dessert I think..................

Living in the sunny? Midlands, where the pork pies come from:

saving for a trip to Florida and NYC Spring 2008

    Total so far £14.00!!

    Morning everyone.

It's raining here this morning so washing will be going on the dryer rather than the whirlygig downstairs.

Plans for today are going shopping to buy the last few bits and bobs for the flat, it's odd, we've only been here two weeks, but it really feels like home already!

jw1096 - my OH kindly kicked me this morning, and when I came into the lounge I found all the things that I asked him to tidy up last night still on the floor - I think I'll be having a few words when he (finally) wakes up!

Congratulations to George Spud on St George's Day.Excellent choice of name Lilibet! My eldest is a George too :T We're celebrating the day with beef for supper - a piece of topside which is in the SC as I type,to be followed by rhubarb crumble.

Have a lovely St George's Day if you're English and called George :D

    Morning Everyone! :o

Hope the weather is nicer for Spuds christening than it is here. Ooooh i love a christening.

Katgoddess - my thoughts are with you, hope you can have a nice day in the circumstances.

I've been a busy little bee this weekend. We went baby shopping yesterday, and picked the pushchair, car seat and other bits that we want, so we now have a starting point for prices. I also got fitted for a maternity bra, and boy was that a relief. We also did ASDA, spending quite a bit but i doubt i'll get there again this month so i was stocking up. We also went to BandQ, spending some vouchers we had, so i now have a rotary washing line again, but then its raining today. I can't win.

We also visited my parents, and took them their wedding album, so it was nice to sit and chat and reminisce. i barely see my mum now she works, so it was really pleasant.

Now today, i am on a washing and cleaning mission. I've got through several loads of washing, emptied all the airers and sorted it out, and scrubbed the kitchen. :j I need to tidy the living room up a bit, and then get on with some school work preparation.

DH is on a bike ride, and has told me he is working away for the next 3 weekends, so i want to try and spend some time with him. It's a bit of a git as he will be away all over the bank holiday, and miss out on my nephews joint birthday party. But the pennies will be good.

I best go as i also want to prepare a roast dinner today, and get some ironing done.

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing. :j

    Morning all :hello:

Lillibet - I hope that Spud's christening goes well. I love the sound of your 7 bird roast.

Skystar - that's nothing! OH's sister has had a boyfriend for over a year and OH and I have only just found out............. (OH and her are twins). What's worse is that their mum, dad nor older sister know. We're having to keep very quiet but have told her that she's got to introduce him before our wedding in July. Can you imagine the fireworks on our special day?

Well, I haven't been on here for a couple of days. It's all been quite busy.
Friday night I went round to jockettuk's house to help with her DD's preparations for SATS. Then OH and I went out to the local cinema club to watch Pride and Prejudice. As there's no cinema within a 10 mile radius, they have a couple of films a month in a converted church, very similar to where I'm originally from in sunny Lincolnshire! Anyway, OH says that although he dearly loves Kiera Knightley, he actually prefers the 6 hour version of Pride & Prejudice! How impressive is that!

Yesterday we went to watch rugby, which my team won. Just. We're trying to get OH's nephew (and our godson) who is 18 months up to speed for playing professional rugby. The team desperately needs him! On the way home, we popped in to see his parents, big sis, bro in law and nephew and to have a chinese paid for by them!

My exercise for the day is watching the London Marathon :D I'll have to pop into town in a few minutes to get a newspaper. OH has popped into work to "crimp some cables" so left the house at 6am. No doubt he'll be grumpy and tired by the time he gets back.

Anyway, I'll go and update my signature as I've got some stats to add to it!

((((hugs)))) to all who need/want them!

Only got up an hour ago! :o But had not got to bed till 3:30am! Wish i had some good excuse too..... but i dont! :rotfl:

Productive day yesterday... sorta! Watched 5 episodes of "Beyond river cottage" in the morning.. then cracked on with the day! Finished tidying my house as hadnt quite done it all on Friday afternoon when i started it! Then spent a fair few hours in the kitchen baking! Disaster with cookies, sponge cakes and scones! Which is very unusual.. BUT made some fantastic belgian chocolate rice crispie cakes :rotfl:

However biggest achievement of the day was my SUCCESSFUL walnut and sultana cake   I have never ever even attempted it before as only ever had the guts to try sponge cakes! :o But this was superb!! Considering i had an extremely vague recipe to go by aswell... as it was a "passed it on" recipe from my nans next door neighbour (who sadly isnt with us anymore :( ) She used to make it all the time for the local church fairs and it would sell like erm.. hot cakes?! She used to be famous for it! But alas since she went to the big kitchen in the sky few years ago no-one has been able to make it... so feeling brave yesterday i attempted it (after asking out loud for her to give me a hand please!) and its come out amazing! Really moist and light and tastes EXACTLY like it used to when the good lady herself made it! So thanks for the help Auntie Dell! ;):D

Todays plan is to actually hoover up! Everytime i go to do it i realise its late and as i live in a terrace house with paper thin walls i dont wanna disturb the neighbours (specially the noisy 2 year old next door who screams at night keep me awake   ) Also wanna go to B&Q at some point and get a looksie at the plants they have... wanna make my little yard pretty for the summer! :)

WAS going to buy a new coffee table but torn between a £18 one in argos or a £15 nest of tables in homebargains... BUT i wanna change my tv unit and the one i like doesnt have a matching table and i dont reeeeaallly want a mismatch of wood colours in my living room!  So thinking of leaving it and having a look around!

Have to see where the rest of the day takes me.... no solid plans... have a good one everyone! :D
