Another Dd has friend staying over so made cheese on toast with bacon on top for them.
Just about to drag huge basket of washing to laundry for drying as it is the only way we will get stuff dry for DD who goes back to uni tomorrow!
May go to Leeds to see if I can track down borax - had no luck in York yesterday.
Listed some of my more expensive books for international sale on amazon last night - but still no sales at the moment.
No idea what to make for later but feel sure we will think of something.
Big hugs."This site is addictive!"

Morning
Im so glad im not at work, I think I needed a lie in as ive not long woken up! Im going to take a shower shortly and then pack up a random wooden box into the car and take it to the tip, as it doesnt fit anywhere and I only ever used it for stashing stuff in the garage at home, and now I dont have a garage so its got to go.
After that im taking myself shopping, I need a duvet and a mattress protector - ive ordered my mattress to come on wednesday - the same day as the bed. I did however, forget to check the length of the mattress so I need to make an emergency call to them to check I havent ordered the wrong thing!!
Im also calling a lighting supplier I found online as they got back to me when I asked them to beat a price id seen elsewhere - they can do it so I need to call and see what they can do.
Last night I didnt do anything particularly interesting, but I put the chiminea on and relaxed in front of the tv (I bought a clay mexican chiminea last weekend and some fire gel and made my own fireplace to go in the fireplace hole that was sitting empty - it now looks so pretty and cool!)
Anyway, im excited to go out shopping so im off to get ready!

Good morning everyone
Been up since 6 as hubby is working this week end so I've dropped him off at work. DSS was only here for a couple of days, it seems he had a week of work, phew! He paid me £60 off what he owes me & mowed the lawn so it was quite nice to see him.
I've been to Asda, WM is on but will probably have to dry in the rads as is overcast outside. BM is on & will make some cakes later. Babysat DGS yesterday for a couple of hours as DD & her OH wanted to do Tesco's in peace. He is such a chatterbox, & he can now throw a football & kick it as it comes down & he's not 2 yet!
Right, thats enough of me being a doting Nanna.
I'm going to strip bed & clean spare room as I may be getting another lodger, will find out on Monday. Clean out the rabbit & guinea pig & plant some Nasturtium seeds.
Hope eveyone has a good day.
Hugs to all.

Morning all, well its quarter to ten and I'm up. Quite impressed!
The birds are singing away, its warm, and I think I've got the house to myself. That or my housemate is still asleep. Not sure whether she was in or not last night so don't know how much noise I can make!
Hope all have a good day,

Morning everyone :hello:
A lovely day here so I'm going to tackle the garden and sort the garage out. I was going to do mum's garden, but that can wait until next week - I always seem to be doing stuff over there and wondering why my kitchen or garden etc looks a mess
I had a call from DS1's Beavers leader ;ast night and they are lookng for BricaBrac - which is very timely as when I was surveying the stuff in the garage, I decided that for what little I had in their that was car bootable, it wasn't worth it and I don't want it hanging around any more. Also today, there is a charity collection point locally, for clean wearable clothes. I can't remember the charity offhand, but it was something I'm happy to support so we may trug off down there later as I have 4 large bags ready.
I think today will be eat up time from the fridge. I have plenty of soup and cold meats which will do for lunch and there's a portion of curry and some rice which will do me. I'll make the boys what they want.
Ok - I'll go and put WM on and take advantage of this weather, then get on with those outdoor jobs.
Prudent - glad you had a lovely party and atowen - Ibuprofen does wonders at preventing the dreaded hangoverTootles, hope you have a much better day and Jo, your fireplace sounds fab
(((hugs))) to everyone.
Oh, Racy, be careful - you can still burn nuts you know. :rotfl:

Morning all
Not too sure what's on the agenda today, except that I need to make some bread (already in the BM) and some rolls for tea tonight (next job!). DH has promised to make a Victoria Sandwich cake, so we're going to have a good old-fashioned high tea instead of a dinner. I might even break out the good china.
I had a lovely surprise yesterday, when a friend had taken notice of a comment I'd made about having run out of wool for knitting blanket squares. She put together a huge box of random balls of different types of wool and sent it to me.Isn't that great?? I didn't know which one to start with first, but plumped for a lovely smokey pink chenille, which is a blighter to work with, but knits up so squishy and soft its just irresistible!
Looks like its going to be a nice day today, so maybe I'll get some things done in the garden. I need to get outdoors a bit more, because I get sun poisoning and need to start getting my skin used to being exposed to it. ~scratch~itch~scratch~ Ah well, its either that or layer on the Factor 50 with a trowel - and I hate that even more!
Have a lovely Saturday, whatever you find yourself doing.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
aw poshpaws - you and me both re the sun. It's dreadful isn't it, and people don't understand if you wear long sleeves and stay inside in the summer.
You can tell the sun is getting stronger as I have had my first sun blister on the back of my hand this week - and I haven't really been outside
Oh well, off to the great outdoors - with long sleeves and sun cream0
