My first ever proper post on this thread! I never felt like I could post before as I lived with my mum, but now OH and I have moved in together I feel like I can!

Haven't been too OS recently what with the move and sorting things out, have only made a couple of meals from scratch but am going to our local farmer's market tomorrow to get lots of lovely things to make meals with.

    Evening everyone
It's a little quiet on here tonight so I thought I'd join in. I've been reading this week but not posting, mainly because all I've really done is go to work & come home again. Oh & because I'm a woman I've cooked & cleaned & done the laundry & some ironing & shopping - no change there then.
Tootles so sorry to hear about your lousy day. It can only get better tomorrow.
We have a busy weekend planned too but mostly with good things. I have DS1 coming tomorrow & staying overnight then DS2, DD & fiance coming on Sunday for lunch. Supermarket & bike ride tomorrow then we're looking forward to a great night out. After footie on the TV (DH is a Liverpool fan) it's a friend's birthday meal out & then listening to some very talented friends do a gig in the pub. Lots of cooking on Sunday then major collapse on the sofa on Sunday night in front of the TV with a glass of something nice ready to start all over again on Monday.
I feel tired just thinking about it but I enjoy having a busy life (usually).
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
    Dobie

    Hi all

Not a very OS day today, but its certainly been cheap!
Got sent home from work the second day running, got a Virus, so went to bed at 12.45, and woke up about an hour ago.

    b: Banana
    L: Banana
    D: Banana + Ice Cream.

Just hope I'm not going to cough anymore - did so hard last night I threw up. Not amused.

So, to anyone starting with a monster of a sore throat, I pity you. Truly I do.

    Hugs,

    Metherer

I did, honest!! Even though I ended up spending £65!! I have got enough clothes to last DD all summer for £31, I bought DS a Joe Bloggs top for £2.99 which he is over the moon with and I bought myself a stunning ankle length belted skirt and 3 tops to go with it (Primark, £15 for the lot) It was DH's fault that I spent so much though, he asked me to pick up Doom which came out on DVD, so I went to Woolies for it and they had a DVD sale on. I ended up getting a Fern Gully double DVD for DD, A Series of Unfortunate Events for DS and the first Harry Potter which they were flogging off for £4.99 and it was the only one I didn't have. So I blew £31 on 4 DVDs :(

Moggins, you got tons of stuff for £65, and it's all things that will get used. You sound really pleased with the things you found for yourself, don't beat yourself up over the money spent, just enjoy being glamourous in your gorgeous new skirt.

LOL, I don't think the Heart Foundation shop knew what hit them :) They had loads of stuff in for DD, all pink and girly and all in her age range. I nearly stripped the shelf. I haven't even counted everything I bought, but there's t'shirts, skirts, trousers, fleeces, you name it, I've got it! Even with DS's Joe Bloggs top it only came to just over £15. The rest was all sale stuff in Peacocks plus some new vests and socks. She held a fashions show when I got home she was so pleased with everything. I won't need to buy her any more clothes until Autumn now :D
