(((((hugs)))) to all who need them or would like one anyway.

Snowy - as I am a pure choc-aholic I would love to be in one of those rooms but I can't say how long I would last before I ate a bit of it.

At w**k at the moment but at least being Friday it is an early finish at 3pm.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Hello everybody,

I haven't had a chance to read all the posts so hope everybody is ok. I doubt if you will hear much from me over the next week. We're leaving on Sunday and hopefully the internet will be on by Wed but this provider isn't the greatest with deadlines. I would have swapped but they charge you for cancelling & I couldn't be bothered going through all the rigmarole of finding another provider with the best deal.

It's going to be a big day tomorrow. DGS & ex DIL is hopefully coming over for a while. Anyway hope you all have a good week and I will post again when I'm settled in. Prob will hit me then so be prepared for wet shoulders.

    Love Aussie
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Aussie - good luck with the move

    PP -enjoy your break

((((Tootles)))) - sorry to hear your not having a good day

Twink - my youngest kittie had to have tablets a few months ago and it was funny how she took them -every morning without fail she jumps up at the sink waiting for her food - she always yamms loudly so when her mouth was open I just "threw" the pill in and down it went - it worked all week as well till the tablets where finished.

Nutty - glad to hear of some positive news on your mums friend

Mossy - good luck with your plot.

Well it is my nephews birthday - he is 20 today - it is also 2 years today since OH mum died. She was a lovely woman who had been bed ridden for the last few years of her life with emphysema (sp) but her spirit was so great and she never got down.

Have been surfing all morning - not really in the mood for working today

Better get some work done before lunch

    Take care

LOL @ tootles - I know I shouldn't, so have some (((hugs))) and a vinegar soaked microfibre cloth too :)

I have just done my soup mix in the pressure cooker - successfully :D - and gone on to make a delish ham and veg soup. Just had it for lunch with HM bread. Even DS2 ate it. He calls it 'green soup' - he just has the stock, not any of the veg bits.

The sun has put in an appearance so I'll put my 2nd load on the line (and make sure the boys aren't wetting it - they all have water pistols ATM)

r.mac, no that isnt grumpy in my avatar, he is a black and white cat, very big with a black face and white whiskers. he decamped fom neighbours down the street some time ago and has got his feet under the table here now, so looks like he is here for good.

snowy owl, my cats are the same with tablets, when the vet gives them its no bother, but when i try its all teeth and claws, always get them a worming injection from the vets. will have to get dd over to do the honours, she manages better than me.

the sun is still out here, what a difference it makes to have a lovely day, hope everyone has a enjoyable weekend.

    Afternoon all,

I've been lurking for a few days. Feeling a bit stressed at the moment. DH is slowly driving me up the wall (actually, I think I've hit the ceiling).

Tootles - I do hope your day gets better.

Cats and tablets, my cat is a nightmare now when we have to give him a worm tablet, we always managed to do it by putting it in to a small piece of processed ham, and he would gobble it up, until one day when DH dropped it and the cat saw that ... he's not stupid, so wouldn't fall for that trick again! The last 3 tablets he's had we have either got the vet to do, or the cattery ... he's as meek as meek can be when they do it, hrmph.

Got a friend coming to stay tonight, an urgent deadline at work, a messy/dirty house and a grumpy DH. Somehow in the next 6hrs, I am going to have to wave a magic wand and it will all get sorted? That's how it works isn't it?!?!?

I shouldn't be on here, but I needed 5 mins to let off steam ..... aaaaargh!!
