Well done Moggins
Well I still haven't got round to doing the cookingDinner, instead of being cod and salmon pie, was macaroni with pesto and parmesan stirred in
This is because I worked quite late, then stopped off on the way home at someone-from-work's leaving party - and the one drink I had intended to have became three
Looks like I'm going to have to be busy tomorrow morning :rolleyes:Operation Get in Shape

Good evening anyone!!!!
Just got in form my night out with a friend, had a lovely time, nice meal and we went through 2 bottles of red wine, so feeling very mellow at the moment!!! Mind you, as ive realised that its 11.38, and ive already been home 10 minutes, maybe my late night out hasnt been so late, but never mind, ive had a good time, and have only spent about £12, so not too bad!!!
Hope everyone has a good nights sleep,
take care xxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Good Morning :hello:
I managed to get right through yesterday without burning anything. I'm going to get right through today without burning anything.
How long can I survive on nuts and dried fruit?
Hope you all have lovely weekends. My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
Proud to be a chic shopper

Morning everyone, morning RacyHappy Birthday to
Frizz Head
What a terrible time to be up....4.15 am on a Saturday...but can't sleep, what a surprise! I'll have another go at getting some kip in a minute but thought I'd have a wander through the MSE corridors while I was awake.
I went for my walk yesterday evening, but didn't get terribly far. My ankles were totally killing me - I'm not sure what's going on. Maybe it's because I've got completely unused to wearing trainers. Not that I would consider walking for an hour in office shoes, but this ankle thing is v.annoying.
Later today I'm off to a fancy furniture shop which has a sale on at the moment. I need a few bits and pieces, and my only hope of ever getting anything from there is when it's reduced. It's a nice shop to have a browse around anyway, even if I don't buy anything.
I'm also getting my hair all chopped off - the hairdresser will have the pleasure of cutting off my pony tail - they always love doing that...though the big snake of curly hair lying on the floor afterwards is very scary, it's not like they can put it back if I suddenly change my mind!
Well, I'm off to bed again. I'll read a book for a while - something about history should do the trick with regard sleep - have a lovely Saturday everyone.

Morning everyone. You are both up early - I thought I might get the first post in today. Got up early myself as I had a raging thirst after ahem ... imbing too much wine at my 40th birthday party last night. Surprisingly feel alert and ready to go.
Snowyowl - hope you find something nice (and very cheap) at the sale today.
Frizz head - happy birthday
Racy red - dried fruit and nuts nice in moderation only
I am off to car boot soon. Then I am visiting a friend who has invited me round because she has made me a birthday cake. It will be the fourth made for me this week, so diet not doing so well. Being taken out to lunch tomorrow too by someone who couldn't make party and the same next week
The rest of the day will just be housework. If I get time I would like to write some letters, as I rarely do this, but keep promising myself I will put more effort into keeping up with people. I have been very pampered by friends all week, which has been lovely. I had been dreading my fortieth because I am on my own, but my friends have all made it really special. So I have been thinking a lot about the importance of good friendships. So hopefully going to do my bit and write to some old friends.0 -
'Morning Racyred :hello: Morning Snowyowl :hello:, morning everyone :hello:
I too am at the hairdressers today .. just a trim though. I had my long hair cut to short and spikey a few months back and I love it. So much easier to look after
OH is racking his HM wine today, so I'll be helping him with that. I'll probably make up a batch of soup to freeze for our lunchtime meals and think about some other meals I can freeze too.
Breakfast: oats, fruit and HM yoghurt, glass of fruit juice
Lunch: HM soup and a HM roll
Dinner: lamb chops, vegatables and potatoes
Have a lovely OS day everyone
'Morning Prudent ... you popped on line as I was writing ... :hello:Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning all you early birds!
Me too Prudent had to get up with dry throat, but i wasnt celebrating last night! Congratulations on your 40th! Glad to hear you are contacting your friends - I too have been thinking/and trying to do something about contacting people, some have lost touch since I remarried, suppose they think i dont need them anymore, but in fact i really miss meeting up and going for drink/meal. Since I got made redundant last nov, it has really made me think about life, ive written some letters too in the hope of replies, im a bit scared of phoning incase they say b-gger off. (coward i know)
Racey: sorry? but why dried fruit and nuts - is this a diet?
Snowy: sorry you cant sleep, I cant either these days, I seem to be going to bed later and still getting up early - definately must be a life-crisis thing i think im going through! ha ha - Good luck at hairdressers today!
Well Ive had a surprising week - an old work colleague popped round out of the blue wednesday (havent seen for a few years) he has moved from london to northampton, so really nice to see him. then thursday I bumped into one of my ex-bosses (not the horrible one who made me redundant) He said I looked really well and relaxed - well of course, ive not got the stress of going through horrible redundancy time now have i?
anyway had a nice chat with him, and good job i had managed to put on some lippy that day and not the usual tracksuit bottoms, so i did look presentable! ha ha
Then yesterday, whilst doing bit of spring clean, got a call from a guy whose job i turned down recently - because i found out it might involve travel to Dubai (I couldnt believe that a job like that would ever fall to me) and consequently worked myself up into a stuper and bolted! then regretted not giving it a go, cos i could have left, but anyway - he phoned asked if i had found something or still looking and did i want him to contact me if he readvertised for staff! I was really pleased he still thought to ring me and well maybe not all is lost - see what happens! Funny eh?
Still while i am at home i am making most of being with kids and re-evaluating my life, and becomming a more positive/happy person - and its funny they say when youre more positive it attracts more positive things - especially after having such a horrible last year - but i do think some things happen in your life for a reason, being made redundant not the greatest, suffering from horrible PND - but its given me the space/time to sort myself out.
So I ended up on a happy note!
God, ive rambled on this morning, sorry all.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.0 -
