funkyfairy, sorry to hear about the little girl at the nursery, there was me feeling sorry for myself with a garage and vets bill to pay but that puts it all in perspective.

the big cat grumpy has to have three tablets a day but the three have to be taken all at once because he is a big cat, he would have needed one if he was smaller, so dont know how i am going to manage that, i might get away with it first day but he is sure to object after that, he isnt called grumpy for nothing
i hope you dont mind me posting on here, i feel too that everyone knows one another and nothing much happens here but i love reading about all your interesting lives, i think it is amazing how most of you work but can still produce meals from scratch. i always cooked from scratch too but i was a stay at home mum, we all were, as there were no nurseries or childminders and my youngest is only twenty six.
love to all especially those with loved ones in hospital

    Hiya everyone.

Thought i would come back and be a bit more cheery today. Thanks for the support yesterday. I think i have just got 'over tired' already. I only taught 2 lessons today, and had a good chat with several of my colleagues. I was in floods of tears again this morning and they wanted me to come home, but i'm glad i persevered. I think next week might seem easier.

Plus, FF's story puts things into perspective doesn't it. That is some poor family's worst nightmare come true. It's not the nursery you worked at is it FF?

The first kid spotted my bump yesterday. Surprisingly it was a boy. I asked him what made him ask, and he said, cos you are getting fat around the middle. Cheers for that. I suppose i will have worse to come.

Well i've still got to get myself sorted for my 3 lessons tomorrow. I need to do some resources for a couple of them. Also, i don't want to leave DH to do everything again this evening.

Hope the miserable weather isn't upsetting any of you.

    Michelle. xx

    Afternoon

    Congrats Vicky A

Well its been a totally non os day for me today. Been in meetings all day. Have 1 load of washing in machine which I will out out on rads in a minute - other than that its a lazy night with a takeaway (budgeted).

Will be watching Spendaholics though - think that might qualify as os?

    Have a lovely relaxing evening.

Cha97michelle - when pregnant with my 1st I used to have a badge saying - Im not fat im pregnant - really liked it when I got to the stage I really looked pregnant - needed another one after though - when DD was couple months old I got fed up with people asking 'whens the baby due'!

D: Calzones (using up l/o from yesterdays Bolognaise sauce) with a mixed salad.

Queenie could you possibly post your recipe for calzones? DH loves them and I've never been brave enought to try them - they're like a pastie made out of pizza dought aren't they?

    Many thanks
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

I love the cheap prices and the bits you can pick up, but I HATE HATE HATE the arrows on the floor telling you where to walk and the way it is layed out so you HAVE to go through every part!!! Sometimes it makes me feel really trapped

HAd a phone call from my oldest - longest serving friend this afternoon.

Her mum (who used to be our school dinner lady) has been rushed to hospital with a brain hemorrhage. Totally gutted as we go out for lunch on Saturdays, my mum her mum me and my mate.

Just whipped up a batch of cheese scones for them knowing that you don;t feel like eating propper in these situations, and that my mate her dad or her sister don't/can't cook.

HEre's hoping she's ok, still waiting to find out more......
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice
