Morning peeps
This morning it is cold and foggy here. However it looks like the sun is trying to get through the fog. Fingers crossed!
Yesterday's anticipated busy day at work as totally wrong and it was like another bank holiday. All my customers must be away to far flung places.
Did have to assist a minor-celebrity yesterday. Unfortunately can't name names or I would have to kill you all. In fact she is that minor that I probably could and everyone would say "who". However I do get easily star struck and rushed in the house last night to tell my story!
Today is my last full day at work this week. Thank goodness. Have quite a long to-do list that I need to tackle.
Made some tomato mince last night. Will probably have that tonight with some veggie rice.
Well gotta go and get ready.
Take care0 -
Morning all
I had a stressful day yesterday, sat on the M25 for over an hour before I even got anywhere! Had a nightmare trying to find a hanging basket bracket to fit an 18" basket I tried 4 places I managed to get one in the end thank goodness as I have someone coming round tonight to drill the holes and put them up for me.
Had the electrician out to quote wiring my outside lights up £60 that will be done saturday am.
Tried to do my first shop at tesco online last night it took me about 2 hours to finally complete it only to hit the checkout button and get an internal error and I lost the lot out of my online basket (gutted) I will have another go later on.
It's cloudy and cold here today not too sure if I should hang washing out or not? Dog's are still asleep and snoring loudly.
Hope you are all well?

Morning Everyone
Didnt sleep to well last night, but have already taken some pain killers to help-so should kick in soon. Needle nurse coming at 7.30 today-she offered 6.30, but had to decline:eek: Roll on friday!!
WM is on ATM with a dark wash and will be hung outside when done as weather seems nice dry and blowy. Toilet has been cleaned too. Have SIL here today doing a few jobs around the home and me ironing:D
OH went out last night (10pm) to the local Sainsburys again:rolleyes: he got some excellent bargains again. Large greek yogurt and honey (still 3 days in date) 5p (£1.55), bacon/chicken pasta for himself to eat 10p (£1.80), 4 x Spagbol Taste the Difference 20p each (£3.50 each), 2 x Taste the Difference Chicken Pastas with cheese 20p each (£3.50 each normally),Bag mixed salad 5p (£1.90), 4 Chicken breasts 20p (£3.99), 2 x puff pastry 20p (£1.35 normally each)organic milk 4pt 10p (£1.89). The grand total should have been £1.90 but came to 57p and 2 items had a special offer and gave back some moneyNormal price for all these items would have been £34.83:eek: so we saved 34.26.....fabulous!! Milk, ready meals and chicken have been frozen for a later time. Although we dont normally buy ready meals the Taste The Difference Range use better quality ingredients and taste ok and will be perfect for lunches to share bulked out with a spud or salad.
DD is back to school today and her lunch is all done. She looks half dead poor thing, only 2 days at school then shes off friday and monday for when we're away.
OH is making a quiche today with one packet of the pastry with all the bits that need using up in fridge: Eggs, ham, mushrooms, onions, cheddar and bacon. Will portion and freeze some for the weekend when we're away. Fab with a jacket spud.
Breakie: Toast/Marmalade and Greek yogurt with honey
Lunch:Baked Spud, salad and ham
Dinner:Chicken, roasties, carrots, yorkies and peas.
I hope everyone is ok. HUgs to all.

Morning evryone. Many thanks for the birthday greetings yesterday - I had a lovely day.RZL and Vicky A - glad its better news for both of you.
Poor ageandjo - that's sounds a very stressful commute. I changed jobs in December to get rid of a commute. I now drive 10 minutes across quiet roads in some of Scotland's most pretty countryside. The down side is that the last job was much more relaxing so overall I haven't won on the stress front.
Its a lovely sunny day here again. I am fairly busy at work though so won't manage to get out in the sunshine.
Well done on the bargains pp - just read your post.0 -
Good morning everyone
Bargain Rzl & Vicky A - hope things continue to improve
PP - can't imagine why you didn't want to see the needle nurse at 6.30
ageandjo - not the M25  I wish you hadn't mentioned it, you have reminded me that I will probably have to pay it a visit on Friday _pale_
Have started clearing kitchen, d/w still to finish emptying but otherwise done. The spare bedrooms need clearing as I am hoping our DD & her 2 little ones will be coming to visit for the weekend (hence my possible trip on the dreaded circular car park as her OH has to work Saturdays, so I fetch her & he comes to visit & takes them home on Sunday)
Washing is done, just waiting to be hung out on the line, it doesn't look too bad outside today - at the moment, at least.
Reminder to me: Must do menu plan... must do menu plan... must do ...0 -
Morning Ol' Stylers :j
It's lovely and sunny here in Oxfordshire. WM is on at the mo with shower curtain (material one) and DD's bed linen again  she spilt hot chocolate on it last night and didn't tell anyone
Chicken casserole is in the slow cooker for tea tonight, and I made tuna and pasta for lunch last night - but I've still got to make DD's packed lunch. Bath is run ready to jump in. DD should be getting dressed but she's doing a puzzle - I'll go and shout at her in a mo
DH is in a lot of pain today - yesterday he lifted a post out of the ground and thought he'd strained something. By the time I got home from work he could hardly move. Phoned the Dr's at 6.00pm (they close at 6.30pm) and asked if they could squeeze him in - they said no, but quickly changed their tune when I asked what I should do as he has severe abdominal pain and told me to bring him straight round. Apparently he has ripped a muscle clean off his ribcage (ouch  ) so he's popped into work this morning to fill in the accident book and will be home shortly.... Do you think I'd be mean to leave him a list of jobs whilst I'm at work
Anyway must dash (((((hugs))))) to all.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning!!!!
This has to be a first for me, posting BEFORE w**k!!!! Well I got up at 6am when OH left for work just so that I could have a really slow start and make sure I was totally ready for my first day back.
PP I don't know where this magical sainsburys is but I wish I knew cos those are really good bargains!!! Ours is really expensive even when they reduce things.
jw1096 don't let yr bf annoy you , take a relaxing bath to help with the pmt and tell him you need a break!
I'll be off out in a minute, just gotta pop two great ormand street bags out for the clothes collection and grab my lunch.
Wish me luck guys, i'm not looking forward to this at all
At least dinner will be ready when I get home as I made up a yummy shepherds pie last night!!
Have a lovely day everyone,

Sorry quick post this morning got to get DS ready for nursery! will have to read all posts when i get back.
Hope everyone is well, best wishes to all those who need it today or are feeling unwell, good luck to everyone back at work!
Today ive got to take back my deep fat fryer to asda, chips didnt turn out too good, ended up getting out the old chip pan to do them in!!! progress eh?
I think the temperature thingy is not too good on the asda machine.
Can anyone recommend a good d.f.fryer, I was hoping it would be easier and safer (just bung in chips and leave till ready and not keep watching it)?
I am no good at telling whether the oil is hot enough in the chip pan ? which is why i though a machine would be better. also used vegetable oil, should i use corn oil?
How does everyone else do their chips? my mum also said she never used oil always lard - and i remember my mums chips being sooo lovely as a child, so maybe thats the answer?
Gotta go, be back later
have a great day
Shez0
