    evening all
first day back at mine for about 10 days (been with OH and then down south for easter with my parents).... had a productive afternoon of sorting stuff out.... all the paperwork in a big pile that i'd ignored before easter.
haven't caught up yet so i hope everyone enjoyed the bank holidays and had a good easter.

had the most amazing massage this morning (treated myself as a belated birthday present!) - if anyone wants a recommendation in the nottingham area pm me! so now i'm all relaxed and happy, avoiding thinking about the disaster that will be w**k tomorrow!

(but i managed nearly a week away from MSE and i didn't develop withdrawal symptoms :))
    have a good evening everyone

    Hi all
Back to w**k for me today, but it was fairly quiet. Still no sign of the dreaded DSS, he'll probably arrive at midnight, or in 3 weeks time. We still don't know if it's just a few day visit or if he thinks he's moving back in! If he does I'm going to have words, I know he's only 20, but he needs to start standing on his own 2 feet & not running between his Mum & Dad everytime life doesn't go the way he wants. It's so difficult as I know if it was one of my kids I'd do anything to help, but they don't lurch from crisis to crisis & expect to be bailed out every few months. Oh well, moan over.
Hugs to all who need them
    Sue

Boo hoo - I want my mummy :(

Well, actually I want some money :) This is a really really bad month for the TM household - the printer's gone belly up now. I've tried cleaning it out, but it's an Epson so I think it's gone to the great printer shop in the sky. Just what I need. Mr TM said we're not buying a new one, we'll get this one repaired. I don't think he realises how much it will cost.

Hey ho. Anyway - I'll go and do those jobs I was going to do 2 hours ago before a) the kids decided not to sleep and b) I started cleaning this darned machine. However, I am sporting a lovely set of multi-coloured fingers. Do you think this could be the new OS look?..... No? ...... Oh well :rotfl:

Shez - I just use the dough setting of the BM - make up your mix as per instructions for a loaf and set for dough, when it's done I tip it out the machine onto a floured board and cut into sections - light shape and put onto a greased tray - leave to rise for about half an hour before baking for 15-20 mins in the oven. I can get 12 rolls from a 2lb mix which lasts us a lot longer than a loaf.

    Thanks for that Pooky!

Gosh I've just logged on tonite and had 5 pages to read to get up to speed with this thread!!!!

TM - know how you feel, we need a new printer, but still havent got round to buying a new one yet - but this old epson is still going!

It must be something in the heavens today, everyone's things blowing up etc.

I thought I would make another coffee & walnut cake again today, came out okay but not as nice as the first attempt - you do everything the same but comes out different - why is that??????

Also decided to try the deep fat fryer tonite with HM chips - it was useless - I dont think the temperature thingy works properly, chips burnt on outside and raw on inside! gonna take it back to asda.

Then decided to revert to ye olde chip pan!

Be interested to know how everyone does their HM chips? Do people use vegetable or corn oil (whats best), and is it right that Maris Piper potatoes are the best chippers?

    Hi
I can't remember quite how I did it, :o but somewhere, somehow, I managed to find something that made 40 posts to a page - so at least you would only have had to work your way through 3 pages!
Maybe someone with more expertise on such matters can tell you (and me) where that can be done.

Chipps: yes i know how to change it to 40 but i found that quite alot to look at one scroll too!! ha ha - either way there's still alot of postings - maybe i will change it and try it see which one i prefer - yes can understand waiting for the next page to load up.

Does everyone else have theirs set to 40 then?

How does everyone keep up to date with the next person posting? do you all keep refreshing?

have now updated to 40 posts per page - does everyone else have the oldest post first or the newist? just curious as to what works better. thanks
