  • Hello all!! :hello: Hope we all had a good easter weekend :easter_ba

I love these easter smilies, this one was me! :EasterBun

Haven't really been on over the weekend, been trying to catch up with everything that's been going on and still trying!!!

:bdaycake: Happy birthday to those that have birthdays, hope it's a good one.

It's been a lovely weekend for me. Friday night went bowling with boyf and his mum and sister, didn't do that well as got zero, zero, zero then 2!!! Did get a bit better by the end of the second game!!! Boyf cooked us a curry that was lush!! Yum yum!

Saturday I did some revision, bought my groceries, was in budget again! That's 3 weeks now I've been in budget! Excellent!! Can do it when I put my mind to it! Saturday night I cooked a recipe that I found on here and it was delish!!

Sunday was a roast courtesy of boyf's mum, yum! But was feeling very low so left early and went home for a cry :( Went to work at 6pm Sunday night, that was a laugh, cheered me up. Boss was lovely and gave me and boyf some belgian beers! 9.5% though!!! We shared one that night with a Chinese takeaway at midnight!! :rotfl:

Yesterday was more revision (getting good at this!!) and then cooked chilli con carne from scratch for the first time ever and I was quite impressed with myself! And made enough to freeze for another night.

Getting into this cooking lark!! Thanks to you guys for your wonderful ideas and suggestions.

    Today breakfast was porridge
Lunch was cheese and onion rolls
Dinner will be JP but not sure what topping yet! Probably cheese and beans!

    More revision this evening!!!

From today is a new start for me, just getting back on the wagon so to speak.

Have a good one! Sorry I've rambled.

In a bad mood now. I applied for a job last thursday with a closing date for 21st of this month.

Get an e-mail back this morning. Oh we have filled that position last week and asked the job centre to take it down.

Oh right so why put a closing date on then in the first place.

    I am so

So back to the drawing board. Might mail they to ask they put a closing a date when they had no intention of waiting until after the closing date.

Cleaned the bathroom this morning and suppose to be off to town this afternoon to pay £2 in change in to the mortgage account.

    Yours

Ancasta - so good to have you back  and congratulations on losing all that weight! :j :j

I'm just leaving to drive up to sunny Lincoln. I spoke to my mum earlier and Grandpa is still in hospital. He reckons he's coming out today, but my mum says that he's still very frail. :( Apparently, he's had his neighbours and cleaning lady also visiting him so he's quite a lucky person!

What with my dad being in hospital a few weeks ago and now Grandpa, the hospital car park will be raking it in from our family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRUDENT AND SKIPKOO :bdaycake:

Well the weekend is over and life has got back to normal, thank goodness for that!!! We got back from MIL's on Sunday night. We had a good time but it was still quite boring as we were not really guests, more just OH coming to stay at home for a bit! It meant that we had to make our own entertainment or be bored to tears. We did get to watch The Indredibles which was a nice treat as we don't have the Disney film channel. We also took our selves out a few times and had a great night out in London on Saturday watching a friends band play and then going to the aftershow party. MIL made us a big roast dinner on Sunday (veggie kiev for me) and we scoffed easter egg and chocs and fruit with sambuca, yum yum!

The yesterday we had my family round for a buffet lunch and easter egg hunt. I organised the hunt for five nephews and neices from 6 to 17 and they all loved it, running around the garden looking for their own clues! We have lots of buffet food left so OH went off to w**k with a lunch box full of yummy food!

Today is my last day off and i'm back to w**k tomorrow, they have changed my days now so I am doing wednesdays and fridays, they have changed them because doing fridays and mondays was getting to hard for me as I felt like I was having no rest between my days. I am worrying about it already as I am being bullied basicly by two people I work with, my managed knows but so far it has not been addressed properly. I am not sure how much longer I can take it really so I may end up going sick again pretty soon, having this damn ME is bad enough without people who don't understand making my life even harder. Anyway I needed to get that off my chest as I feel like a stuck record when I takl about it at home, its been a problem for such a long time that were all fed up with it!

But back to today, I need to straighten up the house, hoover etc. Hang some washing out, do some ironing etc and make dinner. I want to make sure I get a good rest too so I feel strong for tomorrow.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Good Afternoon

Happy Birthday to Prudent & Skipkoo - hope you both have lovely days.

Outrageous_Monkey - I know how you feel I had toothache last Easter and spent the whole time crying and starving - hope it gets sorted today.

Well am in office at mom but had bad day as had to pay wages and do online banking and the internet has been playing up - took me about 3 times as long. Also my printer has just died so I can print my invoices - these things are sent to test us. Have decided will do another 1/2 hour in here then give up for the day and do some housework.

WM needs to be emptied and reloaded in a min - already done 3 loads and at least 2 more to go but its nice drying weather.

Kids back at school but OH at home so not as peaceful as I would have liked!

    Have a great day

Do you mean to say you have to *pay* for hospital parking? That's terrible. Mind you, we might have to in the city too but in the towns & smaller cities we don't.

I'm off to bed shortly. Been grocery shopping and got some more boxes. Last day at w**k tomorrow & then we are all going out to lunch.

Anacasta well done on your weight loss. Calleyw  on your job application. That can be so annoying. I hate it when the job is advertised but they already have the position filled but they have to legally advertise it. What a waste of time.

    Goodnight all.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Pooky: Can I ask how you make the rolls? I've got BM but havent done rolls, dont think there is a recipe in my BM leaflet.

    Enjoy your day.

Shez - I just use the dough setting of the BM - make up your mix as per instructions for a loaf and set for dough, when it's done I tip it out the machine onto a floured board and cut into sections - light shape and put onto a greased tray - leave to rise for about half an hour before baking for 15-20 mins in the oven. I can get 12 rolls from a 2lb mix which lasts us a lot longer than a loaf.

I've had a dig in the loft to find all the summer clothes, given them a sort and iron and they're now ready to hang in the back of the wardrobe until needed....another job done!

Friends kids have trapsed grass in all over the house so I'm glad I didn't hoover, must do it in a bit. Kitchen looks like a bomb site and there's washing in the machine waiting to go on the line, but I'm thinking of saying "s*d it all" and just going to the park for the afternoon with DD's....sometimes lifes to short!

  • Wow....Ancasta...thans fantastic hun!!

Have just eaten my sandwich outside in the garden with the bedding drying/blowing and smelling gorgeous. Its so warm here today..its lovely! Nice to feel the sunshine too.

Postman bought 3 vouchers this morning towards shopping and had a phonecall about my FREE wash, cut and blowdry from the voucher I sent off from the weigh!!!!chers magazine. They have offered me an appointment for Thursday at 10am which is good as I have a hospital appointment at 9am and can go straight from there to hairdressers, so wont have to go out especially. They have full wheelchair access too.

Also had a phonecall from Haven confirming booking this weekend from The Sun £9.50 holidays...ooppps...forgot about that...LOL. Just have to take our own bedding as everything else is there for us. Its Fri-Mon and is about 30mins away so not much travelling either...yay!! The whole weekend has cost us £42 including passes and there is loads of stuff for OH & DD to do and all included in the price. Will take our own food and loads of pain killers...LOL.

I feel quite good today, but think Im mainly glad that my daily needles are coming to an end, well for at least the time being anyway.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

hello one and al, hope you all had a lovely easter.

i was in w**r all over the weekend, but it wasnt too bad for a bank holiday - friday was nuts, saturday was average, sunday the store was shut and we re-painted the staffroom :D and yesterday was dead quiet. but because its time and a half, i will be geting the equivilent of a whole weeks wages for it, which will be going towards the furniture fund. (its my coping mechanism -whenever i get a crappy customer, i always remind myself to think of the money and all the lovely furniture it will buy us :D ). had quite a touching moment yesterday - a customer came into store who i had helped with a problem a while back, and she asked for my name so she could write to the manager and tell her what a wonderful, helpful member of staff i was :o made my day to know i had made someone so happy

last night went out with some friends from work. havent been out for a while, so it was lovely to have some good food (mmm cow pie from hungry horse :D ) and a few beers. especially seeing as it was my last night of freedom. i am now chained to my desk working on essays and uni and assignments. so if you see me on here for long periods of time, feel free to shout and tell me to get back to work :rotfl:

must stop procrastinating and get back to it.

happy tuesday, and all that jazz
