Morning Everyone and Happy Birthday to Prudent and Skipkoo :j

FunkyFairy, Jimmy's sounded like great fun and an Easter Egg Hunt thrown in! Did you buy anything and was it really busy? Jimmy really comes over as being a nice person and his girlfriend is lovely too.

Chipps, any chance you can pm me your Fruit Cobbler recipe as my daughter wants to use it for a test at school.

Back to normal routine today after the school holidays and how nice that is.

I was really lucky the easter egg hunt should have cost £14.50 for the 9 of us that went but i smiled at Jimmy and he let us all in for £10.

He was lovely really nice. His GF got down to the childrens level and was talking to them for ages.

I brought 6 Essex sausages which i am having for tea tonight they cost me £3.37.

It was VERY busy the que to the shop was really long. I am hoping to go to the farmers market in June.

I would recomend it was a lovely day out although a 200 mile round trip i will not be doing it that much lol. ( my mum and dad live really close so i will go when i see them )

    Morning all

Happy birthday Prudent and Skipkoo :D

It's rainy and cool here in Ticklemouse land, so no washing on the line today, which is e lots to do and my freebie sample of soapnuts arrived about 10 minutes ago. Never mind - rads will do :)

Had a big family meal yesterday - turkey, beef and all the trimmings followed by trifle or plum crumble (or both in some cases) It was nice to have everyone together.

Mr TM is taking boys out for a while - then rushing off to get his MOT. Even though car went in for a service last week - they didn't remind us and now they are booked up today. It's due tomorrow, but it should pass (well, there will be hell topay if it doesn't cos it will mean garage are after some £'s!!)

I have to have a moan now Mr Tm has gone out of the room. Try as I might - he can't get his CC's in order. I even opened up a joint Tesco CC last month, but as he's the primary card holder, he filled in the forms - and ticked (or not as appropriate) for payment protection - which I refuse to pay for! AND he's lost his PIN before he's used it (which was MY fault, obviously) so he can't use the card yet.

And to make matters worse, his Mint card which was slightly in credit last time I looked - had been used! He'd forgotten I'd said not to use it, so when the last statement came, he only went and filed it! I really needed ANOTHER £20 late payment fee. He's paid them and sent his card back with a covering note to say cancel, cancel, cancel. Arrrgh

(Oh yes, he used a fee charging cash machine last week too:( Why??) I think I'll just post a chunk of his salary down the drain each week - will have the same effect!

Right - enough of all that :) Today will be spent sorting stuff out. I have loads for charity shops/boot sales. Will have to tidy the garage as I only got part way through it on Sunday. Also, kids left the garage tap running slightly yesterday - and the charity are full of water now :(

I'm off for a shower now and to get DS2 dressed. I shall have a fortifying cuppa then find a spare sock for these soapnuts.

Have a great day everyone, (((hugs))) to those in need and remember to smile - it'll make 'em wonder what you're up to :D

  • Good Morning Everyone

Firstly, got to wish Happy birthday Prudent and Skipkoo :j :j
I hope you both have a wonderful day, with loads of pressies :T

Its a miserable day here, loads of drizzle, in the words of Peter Kay 'Everybody in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its spitting!!'

Just waiting for DH to phone to say if he has managed to get me in the dentist. I've had toothache all bloomin' weekend, but then I dont know how long I have had it, as I have been on some pretty strong painkillers for my back, but they ran out over the weekend (knew they would, been taking too many  but then when I was wandering around the house tha 3/4/5 A.M. in agony, I'll take anything). Got to go and pick some more painkillers from the Docs today, but I could do with a dentist. NOW!!!!!!! lol

DH went back to work, I hate it when he goes back to work when he has been at home for a few days, he's the best company ever. Still, got the kids here, if you count 'can I watch cbeebies' as good company, lol

    B - Toast
    L - pasta
D - not sure yet, might have something easy like beans on toast.

Hope everyone has a good day today and keeps smiling

    Julie
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

Morning everyone, and happy birthday to Prudent and Skipkoo:beer:

Woke up to a lovely spring day here, and feel really refreshed after an early night. DD off to her nanny's for a few hours so just me and Ds but ooohhh the things I have planned. I could quite easily spend/lose the whole day on here so have decided that i am just going to post this then turn off without looking at another thing. Then if I finish all i want to do I can come back on as a reward!! ;)

    So here is the list
1)Get dinner on in slow cooker( Recipe adapted from here, Paprika Beef, will let you know how it goes)
2)Washing out on line, 1 finished in machine and about 2-3 more to go!
3)Sort through the kitchen cupboards (again, how do they get so messy)
    4) Sort through DD toys and discard all broken, outgrown and somehow orgainse them a bit better.
    5) While doing all this keep DS happy, fed, clean bum, etc etc.
    6) Online banking.
7)Attempt to make some gluten/wheat free bread by hand
    8)Phone hairdresser to make appointment
    9)Phone estate agents
Thankfully all the general housework is up to date as we had a short notice viewing yesterday, so I can get on with some of this, but as usual I think i may have set my aims too high, still the longer I am on here the less I will get done, so.... Ta ra for now hopefully will be back on later

Hope everyone has a good day!
    Ronnie.

    Morning :hello:

    Happy birthday Prudent and skipkoo!

Back at w**k today. The schools are back too, in my area (I live opposite a primary school so the road outside our front gate gets clogged up with school-run traffic between 8 and 9am). Bit harsh - I'm sure we never used to go back so soon after Easter when I was at school - but I suppose it's because Easter was late this year and they have to do it like that to help balance the term lengths.

Still, I can be thankful for the fact that thanks to bank hols and various leave I've booked, I don't have to do another a full week's work until the week after the OS meet :D

Mum and Auntie R are also back at work today so Auntie H has travelled up from Wales to sit with Grandma. I haven't heard anything more from them since yesterday evening, when Mum did say that Grandma seemed to be breathing more easily, so perhaps that's a good sign

Looks like it's going to be a bit of a mad day at work today

    Rzl xx

    Morning all!!

Happy Birthday to Prudent and Skipkoo

TM are we married to the same man??

DH is going to have a shock as I am about to shake him out of bed so he can look after DD while I take DS to his hospital appointment, I'm hoping they give him the all clear this morning so he can start riding his bike to school again, it's a lot quicker.

Back to school for both of them tomorrow so I am planning a day out for myself. It's so boring wandering around alone though, wish DH and I shared the same interests sometimes.

    Hello everyone!!

Happy Birthday to the Birthday Girls Prudent and Skipkoo, hope you both have a lovely day.

Outrageous Monkey, sorry to hear about your back and toothache, sounds torturous. Even if you can't get to the dentist at least when you get the painkillers from the doc then the pain will go and you can visit the dentist another day. Poor you though.

I am still in my jimjams - today is a public holiday here in N.Ireland:j:j so no w*** for me!! Have had brekkie, will hit the shower next then go for a nice walk somewhere. I am being an extra lazy cow this Easter and still haven't started my silly essays. I'll get the English one done today I hope, I'm still doing reading for the history one and I've a fair idea what to put in it - I've a week to get it done, there's not much time for excuses now. I honestly can't wait for this course to finish. It has brought out the procrastinator in me, plus when I have exams my stress levels practically go through the roof, I'm lucky to get even two hours sleep a night just before them and during them, it's a miracle I manage to show up at all.

I've booked myself a little holiday to London for the week after the exams - I got an easyJet moneysaving ticket for less than £60 return - how cheap is that!? I'll be staying with friends so no hefty hotel bills, and I'll be able to indulge in some old style baking and so on (bus man's holiday!!).

OK gotta toddle on and do something, see you all later. Have a fab day.

Happy birthday and lovely Geordie huggles to all those who have posted before me… only one each though… don’t be greedy!!

    The wanderer returns…. Ish.

I loiter every now and then but I feel im ready to come back for good (or until I have another life lapse). Ive been focusing on getting my cottage industry up and running and its flourishing nicely. *phew* I have no spare cash now until the summer though which is a MAJOR bummer. But atleast my wedding plans are all sorted…well… almost… and the honeymoon is half booked (flights done just have to decide hotels)

No great plans for today, I have entered the cancer research race for life so im off to the gym tonight to train train train! I shopped around for the best gym membership too! Oh yeah and im stuck at work atm but I have had a 4k pay rise since feb, due to be paid and backdated on Friday so that will help to slowly clear my overdraft. Ick.

    B – Quaker Granola & SS milk
D – Turkey and rocket salad sandwich with mustard, walkers lites and an apple
    T – Curry with Rice

Ive lost 4 stone on my diet too since Christmas so im absolutely chuffed to bits. Put a lb on last week but y’know ladies, it was THAT week… im on the aquabans this week to get rid of the pesky water retention.

    Will check back later.

    Luv lots
