Afternoon everyone :hello:
We're now back from our camping weekend. Just got in about 45 mins ago actually. We were quite lucky with the weather - just as we left the campsite this morning it started to bucket with rain! We had a lovely time and did a lovely walk yesterday in the Peak District.
Bargain Rzl - really sorry to hear about your Grandma. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I don't have anything else of interest to tell you, I'm afraid. I'm feeling quite down at the moment, don't know why but it's probably due to the fact that school starts again on Wednesday.
Take care everyone :wave:

Afternoon all
(((((Moggins))))) - as others say you need to put yourself first sometimes - that is something I am guilty of not doing also
(((((Rzl)))))
VickyA - glad to hear you and Dilbert enjoyed your break.
Well OH surfaced at 1030 am - omitted to say this morning that he was as p****d as a newt last night - 15 bottles of Stella from 2pm - 2am when he came to bed, putting the TV and waking me up - he then fell into deep sleep snoring in my ear - had to punch him to turn over - the he wonders why I am not in the best of moods with him today.
Bread has been sliced and put away - lamb cooked and carved - says should feed 2-3 (I think they meant pygmies) - means I wont have a lot of meat. Prepped the cauliflower and I thought that Asda where having a laugh - it is only slightly bigger than my fist - better fish out tin of carrots.
Just lounging on the couch surfing - with me littlest kitty snuggled up beside me - will go and prep the Yorkie mix in a min.
Just waiting for dad to appear
have a lovely afternoon all
Take care

Hi all
We've been to the garden centre to buy some plants & also had another riverside stroll. On the way back I had some very bad news, DSS is back & wants to stay for a few days! So I have to get the phone barred asap as we can't pay another £400 bill. I wonder how much it will cost us this time?
Hugs to all

AussieLass wrote:What does Possum sausage & Pasta taste like skystar?
Sorry to disappoint Aussielass but I was just abbreviatting and actually meant possibly sausage and pasta! When doing memo's at work we are encouraged to abbreviate nearly everything and it can become automatic when typing! However possum sausage does sound interesting
Another extremely quiet day at work. Did manage to do a crosswork, read a bit of a book, find out everyone's favourite movie/song/food/colour and how everyone met their husbands/wives.
Woke up with a bit of a cold this morning and its getting gradually worse. Sniffing away here like nobody's business and feeling achy all over.
Gonna have a catch up now with the rest of today's threads.
P.S
Bargain Rzl - my thoughts are with you and your family. Take care.0 -
Hi again :hello:
Skystar, I'm pretty sure AussieLass was kidding about the possum sausages
And happy birthday to Noozan
Thanks again to everybody who's been passing on good wishes to/about my Grandma. I haven't heard any more news - Mum did say she'd let me know if there was anything to tell, so I figured it was probably best to leave her alone to get on with all the things she'd planned to do over the bank holidayYesterday I managed to press everybody's Thanks button individually, today there are lots of messages and I haven't got around to it! I will try to remember to come back later and do it.
Am still listening to the radio - nearly 11 hours into the 16-hour opera marathonNeed to get my butt downstairs and into the kitchen to do a pasta bake soon (but the 2 glasses of wine I've already had will do little to aid my motivation
)
PP - you must let me know which bootsales are good locally.
smokey112 - is it Shirley Conran's "Superwoman" which states that "one man's meat is another man's c0cktail sausage"?
Nasnowt - the dog on the right of your largest pic looks just like my mum's dog, Pippin. Like a German Shepherd only smaller.
So far today I have planned to change the world, give my life a makeover etc. What I have achieved on the other hand amounts to no more than sorting out a couple of bags of newspaper for recycling, doing the Times Jumbo Cryptic Crossword (well most of it), getting leftover sausage casserole down my white T-shirt, and tucking into a couple of drinks
(edit: oh yes, and I emptied my PM box
)
Well it is a bank holiday

Hello Chaz, Nas has gone a bit shy now, I'll see if a bickie will lure her out to talk to you
Rzl, Chaz is a swedish valhound, Nels can tell you all about him.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
