Good Morning Everyone, hope you are all well.
Not much news here, quite a slow start to the day, but sometimes its nice that way eh? Going to be a huge shock to the system to get DD to morning preschool later this week instead of afternoon!:o
Lovely day here so its going to be a day of finding things to wash and put out on the line. eg cushion covers, mats etc.
Thoughts and commiserations to all those at w**k today, I have worked bank holidays for many years and know what a pain it can be:wave: it feels like everyone else is having a much nicer day than you, but it isn't always the case.
Well I suppose i should get a wiggle on or next thing I know it will be midday and I will still be on here just "having a quick look":rotfl:
Hugs to all that need them

Not feeling very well today - wasnt 100% yesterday - by the evening I was freezing and shivering with v sore throat - went to bed at 10pm with PJ's and a heavy sweatshirt on as I was so cold (normally birthday suit for me) seemed to have sweated most of it out - just have a sore chest and sore throat now.
My dad was down yesterday to watch the footie - he spotted my bottle of Stardops and said "oh do you use that too - I have used that for ages". He is coming down for dinner today
It is a lovely day here - might put dark washing in WM as I think I have enough for a full load. Will need to go a make bread in a mo - no bread in the house either.
B/l - dunno OH can do that
D - shoulder of lamb, sweet pot mash, cauliflower/cheese, HM yorkies

Morning!
The greatest thing about working for a bank is having bank holidays off!! I have the day to myself - the house is pretty clean (except for the dishes) which I am about to do, and am also about to wake up boyf. I have mentally planned out my day today, which involves going out of the house and finding a beach to have a walk along. The sun is shining nicely and I really fancy some beachey fresh air - and really want to make use of the free day off.
Firstly I have to go to a bed place though, as im determined to find a mattress. I did some more ebaying last night and bought some really pretty mosaic tiles from an american seller. I was in the bath yesterday afternoon and looked at the bathroom walls and thought that they were really plain and bare, the bathroom is just white white white. I then thought I needed a picture, but it would have to be waterproof - then thought of making a mosiac pattern on a picture frame type thing - so it would be waterproof and colourful. I found a lovely colour, then realised Next sell towels in a perfectly matching colour - which then made me think of looking at cheaper places - so im keeping my eyes open for raspberry coloured towels!
SO - ive been feeling a little home inspired - and now i need fresh air. Wish me luck on waking up lazy bones!

Morning all
Welcome ageandjo
I'm just going to bury a moan here so DH can't find it, I'm getting so tired of the knock on effects of his job, he can sleep for England anyway and working nights is making it all even worse. Yesterday he slept until nearly 3 o'clock and of course again last night he couldn't get to sleep until 4am so he's still in bed again this morning. We never do anything as a family anymore and I am so bored with being in the house all the time as I don't think it's fair to go out without him all the time. I can feel the depression creeping up on me again, spent most of yesterday in tears and I keep losing my temper with the kids because I am having to deal with them all on my own. I'm going to call the docs this week and try and go back on the anti d's.
I was going to say stuff it and go out without him this morning because it is beautiful weather but he stirred when I got up and asked me to wake him at 11, I know it will take him at least another hour to get out of bed after that so that is half the day gone again. It's always been hard for us as he's a townie and I'm a country girl so a family day out cannot consist of a walk in the woods as it's his idea of hell on earth.
Don't even know where I am going with this but it's very hard staying OS when I'm feeling so down and the only thing I get to do these days is the weekly shopOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Happy Easter Monday!
The house is clean, we are going to Mums for roast dinner later, and I'll wash my bedding before that to use her TD.
I STILL haven't sorted through my wardrobe to give stuff away to charity and really must do it today.
I think we will go out for a walk this afternoon as long as the rain stays away, your beachy plans sound nice Jo.
Tonight I just need to do a bit of work to plan my slimming groups this week, one of which is tomorrow night- having a bank holiday has made it come round quicker.
Have a good day all, hope your nan is okay Rzl.

You are becoming a prisoner in your own home pet and it is not good for you!
Get out there in the fresh air and tell DH I said so!
Have you seen the thread by ted hutchinson about the lack of vitaminD and its link to depression? I have just ordered some D3 myself as the dark days had been getting me down.
If DH wonders where you are - say you had to go out.
Sorry to be rude but he does sound thoughtless at best!"This site is addictive!"

Morning everyone,
Up bright and early this morning, one load of washing blowing on the line, another in the WM, thought I would get it done and out so it would dry. rain is forecast for later in the week.......
After supper last night we moved the sewing machine cabinet upstairs, just about k
d us both up, but its there and set up, so my sewing room has changed again, more room to move in the middle now and I can leave the ironing board up all the time.
OH is out in the garden, I am about to clean the bedrooms and stairs, then a cup of coffee I think..... have taken some slices of the turkey for supper tonight, I think I am going to have a problem getting it through the slicer, but I'll try later and see.....
(((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs them, enjoy the rest of your day what ever you have planned.......................

I don't think it's looking too great for my grandma, I spoke to my mum on the phone this morning to find out what was going on. Basically over the last year or so she's had a few minor strokes; they think she probably had another one on Friday and has been having difficulty breathing, speaking or eating since. It's been a bit hard on my poor mum as she and one of my aunties normally share "Grandma duty" (she lives in a care home that's about 10-15 mins drive from both of their houses - Mum and auntie R are the only members of the family that live anywhere near one another, with the rest of the family spread out halfway across the world) but auntie R has been on holiday and just got back today. So today auntie R is spending the day with Grandma and mum is doing all the housework she'd planned to get done over the weekend
This is far from the first time Grandma has given us a real scare (in fact last March my other grandmother died, and we thought they were both going to go the same week!) but I don't think anybody would be surprised if it were the last.Operation Get in Shape
