    Morning everyone :hello:

I'm having a delayed Easter meal today, so the family is arriving for a full blown turkey dinner later on. However, as I didn't manage to get any reduced specials on saturday, I need to go shopping this morning to make sure I have enough for everyone to eat - will get a beef joint as well as it's only a small turkey and Mr TM and BIL eat enough to keep a small army going !

It's just started to rain - which means we won't be taking boys anywhere to roll their eggs :( Maybe they will have to use the stairs and some furniture like we did as kids on a rainy day :rotfl:

House is fairly clean and tidy - quick whip round the bathroom and kitchen and all should be fine.

    Ok - have a lovely day :D

    Morning everyone!
I don't usually post on this thread I just seem to read it and smile so today I thought I would join in.
Today I am going to buy two hanging baskets and lots of plants and attempt to make my fist baskets and I am really excited ( how sad is that!) I need to make a list of everything I need to get at the local garden centre. It's sunny here today so I will be able to hang washing out for the first time this weekend. Will pop to tesco later on and grab a french stick for lunch and we seem to have loads of cheese left in the fridge. oh and also some stardrops if I can find them as so many of you seem to say they are brill.
    Have a good day!xx

Welcome ageandjo - this thread is addictive, once you start you can't stop.
Morning everyone else - lots of people up very early for a Bank Holiday. Like Prudent I'm back at work today but I don't have to be in 'til 10 so a fairly leisurely start to the day. It's glorious weather here in Leicestershire, not a cloud in the sky so I'm a bit disappointed that I'll be spending most of the day stuck on the 8th floor of an office in central Nottinham instead of enjoying the lovely countryside where I live. Never mind, such is life & I reckon I can afford to retire in about 8 years - not that I'm counting or anything!
PP - ouch poor you! It's amazing that the needle nurse comes so early but at least it means you get it out of the way first thing & don't have the thought of it hanging over your head all day.
Bargainrzl please let us know what news you've had of your grandma.
AusieLass reading your posts about your house move (& lots of others too) makes me so grateful that me & DH are staying here 'til they carry us out. Moving is SO stressful I really feel for you.
    Have a great day everyone.
Edited to say MORNING QUEENIE good to have you back, I always miss your daily posts.

    Good morning everyone,

My last day off today, i normally have the whole of the week off, but this year im just having the bank holidays, so hoping to make the most of it. Its a lovely day outside, so ive just stuck the WM on, to wash the spare sheets in the airing cupboard that dont see the light of day very often, as they should dry lovely outside. Also need to put the BM on, and then whip the duster and hoover around, upstairs and downstairs. Hope to do all that this morning, so that we can do something this afternoon together. Even though i work from home, and i can be here for DS and DD, its not often its just the 3 of us, so like to make the most of it. Have no idea what we will be doing tho!!!!
Will be using up the left overs from yesterdays roast today for lunch, and no idea what to do for dinner yet, prob sandwiches if i cook at lunchtime!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning to you all. DD (9) DS and DH are all away on a scouts camping trip as hubby is training to be a scout leader, so had the house and bed to myself last night. DS (4) is coming home tonight, so need to make the most of my peaceful day. The ironing pile is so high that I need oxygen to get to the top of it but I'm thinking the solution is to let it fall over into two piles and then hide one lot - alternatively I suppose I could get the iron out.......think I'll stick with the first idea!

So nothing planned today, may do a bit of shopping, may stick the tele on, may do some gardening.........decisions, decisions.......

    Morning all!

    Hope everyone is ok.

I have 2 loads of washing I need to get dry. Its very cloudy out there though... Also another load needs to be done. The dishwasher is empty but is now being cleaned on a hot wash with soda crystals & white vinegar.

The bathroom needs a clean today.

No idea what we are eating today. The freezer is full though so I shall raid that!

    Morning all :hello:

Up bright and early even though I don't have to w**k today :D Am taking the opportunity for a free 16-hour opera fix  as Radio 3 is broadcasting the whole of Wagner's Ring Cycle (one normal-length opera followed by three long ones) which is taking them from 8am until midnight :D I love the Ring and, as you can imagine, I've never heard it all the way through in one go before :D

I got in touch with my mum last night to ask how my grandma was doing, and she said she seemed a bit better by bedtime but it was difficult to tell. I'll let you know how she gets on. I'm sure Mum will be over there most of today (Grandma lives in a care home 10mins by car from Mum). Thanks again for all your concern and prayers.

Right, must get dressed in a mo. As I am a slave to my radio all day, therefore stuck in the house (cos I don't have a portable radio) I must take the opportunity to do some serious sorting out at home rather than spending all day on MSE!!! :D And will need to do a bit of cooking later.

    Have a lovely day
    Rzl xx
