Tesco - Parent/Child + disabled car spaces
Comments

Kids walking is healthy (I dont own a car so my son walks almost everywhere).
I do find it easier to have a car (borrowed) when I do a big shopping and the kids spaces (which has been said more than once on here) are WIDER so you dont have to struggle with buggy/shopping bags/child and NOT always closer to the shop. In fact our Tesco has the disabled spaces closer (as they should do) and parent and child are limited.Emma

I think that this argument has pretty much run it's course, we all seem to be going in round in circles.
To summarise, the main arguments seem to be;
Those FOR P&C spaces: They are wider, give more space, therefore useful.
Those AGAINST: Not about space, but intrinsic laziness and really people don't want to walk.
Now: Never the twain shall meet.
Can we move on now please?Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

So would I!!!!!:T
As a taxpayer, a mum, a granny AND someone disabled, I would be spoilt for choice lol:beer::j
If any private land has enforcement parking, then fines can given and cars can be clamped/towed.
And, court action CAN be taken.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
I don't pay any attention to Parent and Child spaces I just park where I want. It makes me laugh when I here the whine of these parents who think they are special and deserving of special parking spaces. Oh poor little special johnny can't walk across the car park when it is raining. Boo Hoo.
My Mother had five children and no car but still managed to do the shopping. These middle class parents complaining how terrible it is when there are no special parking spaces for their people carriers should try going shopping on the bus on their own with their special children. Many mothers still do this today. And then carry their shopping home. And you no what? Nothing happens. The children don't drop dead because they have to walk with their little legs. The rain doesn't kill them. They are not exposed to terrible danger. In fact it probably does them good.
It is amazing when I here: 'how can a child walk across a car park without being run over?' I live opposite a school I see the red faced podgy little special jonnys being ferried to school and back. I used to walk to school and back which was a five mile round trip and the exercise did me good. And I walked across car parks(shock horror) and crossed roads and was never killed.
Parent and child are purely a marketing tool. Those accusing people of being lazy for parking in them are simply lazy themselves and want special treatment. They wont get it from me.
The sheer amount of times i see a FAT bloke get out of a car which he only occupies whilst in a Parent & Toddler space is astounding.
Ever thought that maybe the reason that person is that obese is that they never walk far?
I am sure this is you.
You Sir are an ignorant (and probably a seriously lardy) TOOL0 -

It "can" be taken, certainly. It would be unsuccesful though. Any parking fines can safely be ignored from private companies and no supermarket would want the negative publicity of towing a few cars just to appeal to knuckle draggers who seem to think the world owes them something for popping out a kid even though the supermarkets by and large do not own their car parks. Plus the disruption caused by towing would cause delays and all sorts of problems. Would not happen. My advice, keep an angle grinder in the boot in case you ever get clamped.
Note - I respect parent and child and disabled berths and never park in them personally but I have no issue with anyone who does. People who spout morality about such a trivial issue like this are idiots."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
Oh now the pro P+C brigade are insulting those who simply expressed an opinion about their spaces as being obese and a tool.
Yet again the insults are coming from one side here, those who shalt not be questioned, the chosen ones, those who've managed to sucessfully sperm their way to worthiness.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
