Tesco - Parent/Child + disabled car spaces

Why do we all let the supermarkets dictate the size of the spaces we use.
Simply park in plenty of space, whatever that takes...............and yes that does mean take up two places if you need to [most supermarket carparks are rarely full.]
Just because there's a line doesn't mean you need to be constrained by it..it won't damage your car to park exactly where you need to park to get the correct amount of space.
Hence the expression ...'Think outside the box'....:)0 -
supermarkets should charge those wishing to use P&C spaces, and while they're at it they could charge for the adapted trollies0

Its all a bit pathetic getting all worked up over Mother and Child spaces. The supermarkets were stupid to offer this as people in the UK can't cope with anyone being given a bit of assitance they automatically assume its their right to have that as well. Its the same as wheelchair/pushchair spaces on buses. Bus drivers get abuse from mothers who have to fold down their pushchairs because the pushchair spaces are full. I also have been on a bus a number of times where a wheelchair user has been left behind because their are pushchairs in the wheelchair space (even though wheelchairs have priority and this is what they were designed for).
We managed without child and mother spaces okay before they were introduced. Parents just parked in a quiet corner of the car park where they could have all the space they need. So if all the child and mother spaces are full why not park at the far end? Because its not about the space being misused its the fact that someone is getting something you think your entitled to. If I worked for Tesco and someone complained about someone parking in a mother and baby space without a child I would take that person who complained, stick them in a box and ship them to some country with no human rights where you get beaten for not liking the president and then give them something to moan about.0 -
By an outside contractor employed by the College. According to all I have seen on here it is not legally enforcable, but I imagine that they could make life difficult in the workplace. It hasn't happened to anyone I know directly, but I do know people apear to generally pay up.0

i dont agree with them, but wouldnt park in one.
my solution is drive a modded car, wear dark clothes and be into rock music, and park near p and c spaces, the number of times i have been given evils is not even funny.
a few times the car park has been blocked by such nice people waiting for a p and c space (despite the fact no-one is anywhere near of the cars) and when i dare to beep my horn i get shown a number 2 or how to grind coffee
nice example to set kids lolthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

When I have a baby I will get a magical man from the supermarket to bring my shopping to my house for me. Yes yes yes, I know this is an outlandish idea but one day, it will exist. yes.Kavanne
