Tesco - Parent/Child + disabled car spaces

If I worked for Tesco and someone complained about someone parking in a mother and baby space without a child I would take that person who complained, stick them in a box and ship them to some country with no human rights where you get beaten for not liking the president and then give them something to moan about.
If thats what you want to do, maybe you should move to a third world country where there's no human rights.
You do understand that human right's don't just apply to mother and baby? They do also apply to Disabled people. Are you going to do the same to a disabled person if they complained about someone parking in a disabled bay?0 -
Calling someone a neanderthal is never acceptable. Hurling insults at people because they dare to differ from your opinion and theirs is obviously worthless since they've never had a child is never acceptable and I swear if I had a tenner for every time someone's pulled the delightfully offensive "if you don't have children you can't understand or have an opinion" card - I'd be rich and it's blooming offensive to me. I've explained before why it's offensive - it's offensive because throwing that card around doesn't earn you brownie points, it doesn't make you better than me - it just marks you out as someone who is hideously inconsiderate and uncaring toward other people because you don't know their circumstances - it hurts for people who may have lost a child, it hurts for those who are infertile, it hurts for those who are struggling to conceive a child and going through the ensuing delightful investigations that involves (as I said before - there isn't a special set of places near the door of the hospital for "just got to drop this dying pot of jizz off before all my sperm die"), or they might actually be a parent themselves who just does not regard a red carpetted special parking space as an essential human right... so throwing your baby merit badge around indiscriminately, bragging about how you're special and the rest of the world can't understand or count... it makes you out to be not a very nice person at all.
Those neanderthals... they had babies without parent and child spaces too.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

People with personal agendas and issues always take a thread in that direction.0

UKCP I think... Well, they enforce that.
UKCP or any other private company have no legal power to fine you.
They try to scare you with threats and official looking notices and use similair terms to the valid fines issued by local councils and the police.
See the Motoring board/Parking fines section on this site for examples.
People pay them out of fear and out of ignorance of the law.
The same is true about disabled spaces/parent and child spaces in private car parks. There is no legal way they (the private parking companies) can fine you.
This thread has become horribly moralistic - as a consumer board, it should be looking at the legality of the situation.0 -
Supermarkets only provide them because they would rather a car shopping for a family of five was happy than a young couple.
You dont see any "OAP" spaces do oyu?
Whether society should bend to make life easier for parents with their kids in public areas at the inconvenience of the rest of the population is purely a personal opinion.
I myself believe thats kids walking is a healthy thing but maybe Im old fashioned.Do you like my medal ?0
