Oh don't be such a bitter prole. You need to get on with your life. Move on. Forget about it. Treat yourself to a bacon and egg sandwich. Try getting out more. Learn to love life and your fellow man and be a lot less ANAL.

Well, thank you for highlighting my point so eloquently.

Anyway I agree with Redstararnie in regards to being bored with this so I also will bid you all farewell and will see you all on another thread.

The most insulting thing you've heard is apparently a comment about having you as a parent - firstly I'd get used to it because your child will soon come at you with worse then that, warranted or not, and as a parent again rightly or wrongly you will be judged on what you do and how your children turn out, and i guarantee there will be far more hurtful or upsetting then my observation.

And what was said was to even it out, you were going off with your GOD complex about it, I've still not heard one real reason about anyone being seriously put out by not having a P&C space to use.

Whilst the tone might not have been to your liking i think its a fair opinion of many that are sick of people expecting their lives to be made easier because of a life decision which has been made by them. As much as people can justify P&C spaces there are many that could justify their use or need as well according whats important to the individual, in your case a baby, in somebody else's it might be their car or the distance etc.

As already said privilege not a right.

How did mothers with children ever cope before the invention of the car?

I think the average mother had over seven children in Victorian times .. and their husbands would be working twelve hour days six days a week .. makes you wonder what modern mothers do all day if they dont work and just claim child allowance, dyslexia advantages for their kids, etc etc.

Never mind the kids, most of the mothers I see in the car parks could do with a bit of exercise themselves.
Do you like my medal ?

    Nicely said, Josetter!

I assume toddlers these days must be allergic to walking or something, and as such they need a chelsea tractor to ferry them 200yds down the road, and specialist spaces in car parks to save their 'tired little legs'; I mean come on, Tesco have put a bl**dy seat in every trolley for them, surely that's enough?!?!

Oh and our local Tesco has the P+C spaces running right along the store front which various parents seem to view as an excuse to let the kids use this as a mini-playground while they're loading the cars up. I swear if I have to weave the trolley in and out of children playing tig or trying to climb up on the parked up trolley stacks one more time I'm going to blow my top completely. IT IS NOT A FLIPPING PLAYGROUND, PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO GET THEIR TROLLEYS (with the usual steering ability of supermarket trolleys) TO THEIR CARS TO GET HOME - NOT DO THE LITTLE TARQUIN (name picked for alliteration and rarity of potential insult to anyone purposes - before anyone takes the hump) PLAYING TIG AVOIDANCE SLALOM.

Kids having a bit of fun - get over it. I bet you Tut ever so loudly!!
  • Oh now the pro P+C brigade are insulting those who simply expressed an opinion about their spaces as being obese and a tool.
Yet again the insults are coming from one side here, those who shalt not be questioned, the chosen ones, those who've managed to sucessfully sperm their way to worthiness.

I haven't 'spermed' my way anywhere  but I still think anyone who abuses the P&C spaces is selfish. It's just common courtesy.
