Good Luck for Thurday Student Wife!!!
Sarymclary- 4 hrs - OMG! We cleaned out my darling son's bedroom on Tuesday so that generated a lot of laundry, but not 4 hrs worth of ironing, thank goodness! You must have been shattered doing all that ironing in such heat!
Grannynise- Congratulations \o/ It can't be an important bit or u would have missed it by now :rotfl:
Bindiboo - All I can say is...WOW :T
Having a guest arrive this weekend, so I'm afraid it will be a lot of eating out for me, but I don't really care too much, sometimes it's more important to have fun :rotfl:
Congrats to all the losers and stsers.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
I never knew this was on here! I'm still on my quest to lose weight! I decided enough was enough a few months ago when I was creeping up to 15 stone!!!
Now at the cost of my social life (stopped drinking) and a lot of hard work I'm down to 11st 7lbs. Since I'm unemployed I decided to tackle exercise like a job. I do about 6 hours of exercise a day now. And it beats sitting about watching Jeremy Kyle on the sofa with a kit kat and a cuppa because I feel LOADS better about myself.
My goal weight is 10st. The last few weeks I've actually remained at a pretty consistent weight but I'm losing inches. I'm told this is because I'm replacing fat with muscle which is actually heavier. But I *look* better and that's what counts. I've learned that weight is only a number and my target weight is only an estimation of how much I think I'll weigh when I'm happy with my body.
But good luck everyone! If you're dedicated you'll manage0 -
Thanks mazza. weirdly i am same as you this week like last week - 1lb gain
. that means i hit my target weight for last week tho according to tesco diets. speak soon
I am a poor student wife now but don't think I can edit username? i study dance and love it though of course, it'll be a career that doesn't earn a lot of money!!
lost 5lbs so far - up to 11lb more to lose i think, will stop if it looks skeletal though dont think that could ever happen!0 -
It's Q2 review time folks!!!
I had a little scan back, and for anyone who can't remember or wants a recap, we started reviewing Q1 at around post 1268 on LW25, and the Q2 objectives starting being posted shortly after that
Looking forward to hearing how everyone's getting on, and any new/amended targets as we go into Q30 -
KPC, I must have missed that you were off on your hols, have a good one!!!
Bananasplit please don't be disappointed with your loss, am I right in thinking you're quite close to target with not that much to lose? Whenever I have a bit to lose, I can never expect as much as 1-2lb loss per week, it just doesn't happen no matter how much effort goes in, and I'm happy to get that in a month instead
Proper mixed bag of results from the last day or so :rotfl: Congratulations Bindi, Granny and everyone else who's pleased with themselves!Granny brilliant about your 25% off! :T Not far to go now according to your sig - keep up the great work!
DMV hope you enjoy having those new scales - I love mine, I find it really interesting to track the changes in body composition rather than just overall weight. Your holiday result is a good one! Almost identical to mine last year both in terms of expected gain and actual gain :rotfl:
Sary thanks for the lovely imagery re: the motorbike ride and balloon (but not the ironing...!!!)
Studentwife - hope the audition goes well for you! A 40 min walk twice a day will burn some decent calories so you should feel good about that!
Welcome to the thread Lady of D! Congrats on your loss so far! What sort of exercise are you doing? 6 hours a day is truly hardcore... and I thought I was keen...!0 -
I can't remember my Q1 or even Q2 but they would have been something like keep loosing, keep the food diary up, drink loads of lemon and water, keep focused and motivated, no slip ups and try to loose it and now maintain it so Q3 would be keep it up, don't go back to the old ways of eating, keep the diabetes on track which in turns keeps the energy up and the days work out better health wise and never go back to being as large as I was(hopefully;))
I really wanted to be lighter and I am, I really wanted to keep it off and I have to a certain degree within 4/5 lb, I don't ever want to eat as I did and apart from binge days I don't, I wanted to have more energy be more healthy and be able to interact with the kids and I do, I wanted to stop saying no to going out because I could never find any clothes to fit and got out of breath quickly and just sat on the side lines watching in and now I don't, I am in amongst it.
I wanted nicer clothes in a smaller size and I have those, I have no clothes worries now which is a blessing, I can exercise, climb stairs, go for walks, exercise and moving about is no longer a chore to be avoided at all costs, I even cycle sometimes now which the kids think is hilarious because the bike is rustier than I am:rotfl::rotfl:
It has been a good year, BMI is within healthy, weight is down, all good:D0 -
banana I remember many a week where it was for me either a STS or a slight loss , the emotions would range from annoyance, frustration, reading back over and over again my food diary, analyzing why this happened what to do better where did the cals go etc oh it was time consuming:rotfl::rotfl: the fact is some weeks are like that and a loss is a loss, some weeks you gain for TOTM or illness, water retention, bloatedness ,mediaction, and by the next week it is all gone, some weeks are slight but the next week it makes up for it, the body is a very complex being:rolleyes:
Thanks for that. It's probably down to the really odd eating patterns and so on over the weekend. Who knows. But yes a loss is a loss and it all adds up!
Missy 7lb until I'm in the recommended weight guidelines. Although I do want more lost as I feel that 7lb will not stop me looking like a pudding :rotfl: I want at least another stone and then maybe more but we will see0 -
Hi everyone.
Dinner tonight will be 2 sweet chilli sausages with roasted sweet potato chunks, onion 1/4s, peppers, butternut squash, carrots + parsnips and corn on the cob which I think will be divine. Dinner last night was 1 extra special beef, herb and sunblush tomato burger (on offer for £1 per 4 pack!) in a roll with a few chips and salad. I dont really like burgers but this was really good and i did dab away as much excess grease/fat during cooking as I could, also calories was very reasonable for the amount of meat.
Thanks MISSY. I definitely thought I would gain more. I did do some walking and swimming, but no where near my usual dog walking exercise plus with all the extra food I was expecting a biggie. I wasnt suprised by my body fat % on the scaled but I thought my water would be higher because of the amount I drink but I will be interested to try it on a "normal" day as that day I had been out all day doing errands in the heat and had now (in hinsight) barely drunk anything. Im thinking the fancy new scales will give me the extra push I need because I've hit a bit of a plateau in time/energy/motivation as I have more work to do than I can easily fit into my days which makes it easier to persuade me to order a takeaway etc. Also apart from a couple of times when I was in my swim stuff around ultra skinny women I actually felt quite confident on holiday and dont have that same self loathing that I had before to push me on.
STUDENT WIFE - oooh we're the same age. Just jump in with anything you want to say, people tackling their weight should not be shy in a safe haven like this thread. Good luck with the audition!

Hi all.
Big hugs to Victory, what a tough time you're having. Maybe it would help, now you're sure what you don't want anymore, to make a list of what you do want from your future? Thinking of you xxx
Granny, I didn't post last week as I was at Glastonbury but basically my weight has evened out over the month (lost some, gained some) so can I please be on the chart as a STS this week with a total loss of 0. This is an absolute miracle after the party month I've had so I'm very pleased
I'm envisaging rice and dahl and lots of cycling at high altitude from next month will pave my weight lossThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I struck a deal with the boss today, I went out on a delivery duty I had never done before, and he gave me Saturday off so I could do my entertaining. Bl00dy h3ll I know who got the best deal, it wasn't so much hills that I was climbing, but mountains, well it felt like that in this heat anyway. 8 miles of torture!!!! Still if i'm good until friday evening then hopefully I will manage an STS for next week4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
