Oh RVK2, what a fantastic loss, I'm so pleased for you! :T Please don't be disappointed if you don't have such a high loss this week, you body will be readjusting to your new plan. Well done on all the hard work! :T
Granny's advice was spot on Rosie - perhaps fortnightly WIs are the answer for a while?
Thanks for the reminder about Foodfocus Sary - I started using it yesterday and after 12 hours  looking at wedding stuff had forgotten it again! Will fill it in in a min...
Aside from all the other wedding blurb, I had my first look at wedding dresses last night...:j How am I ever going to look that lovely?! I need a serious kick up the bum me thinks but it seems so far away as well... Any lovely advice for why it's so important for me not to look like a troll gratefully received :rotfl:The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

you'll be gorgeous bails! well done rvk. day one went well yesterday. More beetroot soup today. I have had beetroot cake and it's lush - unfortunately it's generally chocolate and beetroot so i probably shouldn't go there. Making some courgette muffins this week - that could be interesting!0

Bails you twerp! I've seen your photos on FB and you ARE lovely. And with a beautiful wedding dress on you will be amazing. Troll indeed!0

Consider myself told
Troll was just an amusing expression I picked up from another thread recently, although I don't think it's used in very flattering terms generally! I just meant spout some gushy gumpf about how your wedding was the best day of your life etc etc so I could get WL motivated!
KPC, my mum makes an amazing beetroot cake with no chocolate and it's scrummy! We'd like it as part of our wedding cakeWhich reminds me, I foolishly said, in true MS style, that I didn't want a cake - what on earth was I thinking?! NO CAKE?!!

... Next plan is to find some recipes for evening meals and some type of biscuit/flapjack type thing for when I fancy something sweet. Low fat/sugar/everything, any suggestions??
RVK2
Congratulations on a fantastic loss! :T For low fat, sugar boost snack, how about baking some little meringues? They're virtually fat free and they keep for ages in an airtight container.
Bails - I'm glad you paid heed to Grannynise's wise words, you loony! We'll put it down to your having too much time alone to thing too much at the moment. Weird things creep into the mind when it isn't distracted elsewhere, so look for a better distraction. Count sheep or stars or pebbles or something. :rotfl:And now I'll need to confess to weighing in a day early 'cos you 'overheard' elsewhere!
- 1lb for my this week :j, I got impatient and weighed myself this morning! That makes it 6lb this month so far but would like to aim for losing a full stone by end of next month. For number crunching fans, it's about 3.5% of my starting weight but I want to lose 25%. Ooh! That means I'm more than 10% of the way there! :rotfl:I'm a numbers geek freak! :rotfl:
And what does Bails mean she doesn't want a wedding cake?! What are you going to cut for the photos???I reserve the right not to spend.

i have been on medication for years now fluoxetine for depression cause of my sons learning problems. i got worse, and now i am on mirtazipine, and they are known for weight gain, i told the dr i am also very depressed cause i have gained 2 stone in 6 months, but she still goves me the meds.
i have been on them 2 weeks now and have been constantly hungry, i have tried slimming world, as i can eat alot, but i am that tired, and sleep alot because of my meds that i dont have the anergy for cooking from scratch all the time.
in 2 weeks i have gained so so much weight, an hour after i eat i am that shaky and faint feeling, i need more food, more sugar, like a diabetic but the tets show i am not diabetic, or anything.
what do i do? i am so upset and so hungry, eating fruit and veg does nothing. i dont live in crappy foods but i eat loads and loads.
when googling my meds everyone has experienced the same as me.0 -
awwww amanda i wish i had something that would help. I think you've prob picked the right diet for you, perhaps you need to look at free/low syn quick things that you can eat. For a green day if i'm wanting to really fill up, i like smash with tinned sweetcorn and maybe a HEB of cheese. Also for green days a big bowl of egg noodles with soy sauce and some frozen veg is also good. Quorn is your friend as well - we have saus and mash for tea regularly, either real mash or smash, oh has proper saus and I have quorn. Really quick and easy. On red days a packet of ham and some cottage cheese is a good quick lunch, and for a meal, get some low fat mince, mix it with chopped onions(dry fried first if you have the inclination), worcester sauce, garlic and herbs, and simmer 20 mins or so in some low/no syn stock. I sometimes make up double the meatballs so that the next time it's even easier. A good substitute for fried onions in pretty much anything is EPC lazy caramelised onions - they are 1.5 syns per tablespoon but great for meatballs and burgers.
mmm more beetroot soup. The whole office is talking about pink wee.0 -
KPC I think you should post some of your recipes. Courgette muffins ?!?! Pink wee ?!?!:rotfl::rotfl: Dread to think what combination you're gonna have next :rotfl:
Nyk Meringues - brilliant idea served with some fruit - these are all satisfying my sweet tooth. Well done on your WL this week. Are you still not eating after 9pm - I was thinking of you last night at five past nine wanting a snack but I thought of you and stopped myself
Bananasplit - know what you mean Slash, Duff and Trent Reznor are my guilty pleasures. But my fav metal bands you just couldn't call them poster boys. But I like your taste Tommy Lee yes Vince Neil not so sure. My cd list is a bit like yours pop, hip hop, metal, dance, boy bands :shhh:, punk, and OH's classical. The only thing I can't get is jazz (gives me a sore head) Miami Ink is fantastic. OHs tattoos are kinda Kat Von D ish. He keeps trying to persuade me to get one too. I have been toying with getting one on my back for a while but we're hoping to get married soonish (when we can afford it) and I don't think it would go with the white dress.
RVK2:j :jwell done:j:j
amanda - :hello:
I've been looking at Foodfocus recently but found it really time consuming. I took a notion to WW point my food yesterday and decided that I'd better start using something. I know some of you are on specific diets but can anyone recommend whether I use FF or WW? Although I use a pc all day I don't really get time to at night so I'm not sure which way to go. Any suggestions?0 -
PepPop, I've cut out snacks between meals and everything after 9pm. Next step is to cut down on the portion sizes a bit more as I was horrified to see the recommended portion sizes as set per Government guidelines! I'd never really studied it that closely before, other than trying to work out how to get the '5 a day' into our meals, but yesterday I happened to look at soup, which I make GALLONS of throughout the year. My pot makes 3.5 litres and that normally does 3 of us for about 3 meals. Turns out that it should actually be sufficient for 5 meals each! Serious portion control starts tomorrow!I reserve the right not to spend.
