oops a daisy... gained 1lb this week. Very disappointed in myself, been a tough week and I've been comfort eating, although I know that's no excuse. Promise to try harder this week

  • gained 0.2kg this week which was a lucky escape really. I've found it easier to get back onto plan this week than i have previously so maybe something is finally sinking in. Bails, what about a cheese wedding cake? 3 different cheese wheels stacked on top of each other. Oh says if ever we get married he wants something similar but with pies.

Oooh Bails who are you on FB?

Well, this week I am declaring a -5lb loss. Not as impressive as it seems as I had a +4lb gain last week, so its most likely mostly water weight from TOTM. Still, I'm down to a nice 9 st 10 now, which is my lowest for about 2 years.

well done to all losers and stayers
I stayed the same again but I haven't really been focused for last couple of weeks so no gain is a good thing, have been playing with food focus for a couple of days and I like it so I will try and keep going with that.
Just heard I got 71% on my first MA assignment so I am chuffed, thought I would share some good news with you all.

A well deservved gain of 1.5lb -- makes a gain of 3lb this month so far.

I've looked at what I've been eating and realised that the occasional treats of chocolate, cake and cheese (not all on one plate!) have [STRIKE]crept[/STRIKE] galloped in [STRIKE]a little [/STRIKE]much too often. So what I'm going to do is tell you about all the c/c/c that I eat, in the hope that this will make me think [STRIKE]twice[/STRIKE] fifty times before I put the c/c/c in my mouth. Apart from those offenders I really am eating well, controlling portion sizes etc so there is hope. I also think that as I ma now within a stone of where I want to be I;m just letting myself get too complacent. BB --- please can you do that magic with the lilacking again? The original dose has worn off.

Congrats to all who have a loss, STS or smaller than expected gain ;):D

Annie congrats on your assignment too!!!

KPC just how small are the cereal portions on SW out of curiosity? I usually have 40g with 100ml of semi skimmed, or 30g/100ml for a smaller one. Would this be classed as large?

Amanda sorry to hear about your medication side effects, that's awful for you. Have you been given any medical guidance at all on how best to minimise any weight gains? Do certain food types trigger more of a gain than others?

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain
  • Got up at the crack of dawn today with the intention of going for an early swim. Got to the sports centre only to find the place in darkness, doors locked and about 30 people standing around outside, including staff members - it's supposed to open 6am and I got there about 6.15. I sat in the car listening to the rain for about 5 mins then gave up. But I had all the right intentions - honest!! Used the extra time in the morning to prepare a beef bourgignon for the slow cooker, will be ready and waiting to be eaten when I get home tonight!

So I tried for any early swim again today and this time they were open as usual. I asked the lady on the desk what had happened yesterday and apparently the manager had turned up at 5.30am but then sat in his office and fell asleep!! I didn't get the chance to ask what time he eventually woke up but it did tickle me :D
